"I ordered two parts from Sears Parts Direct on June 10. Both were listed as “in stock” on the web site. One arrived quickly, but the other (the important one) still has not shipped SEVEN WEEKS LATER! It is now apparently backordered (funny, as they claimed the part was in stock when I placed my order!). Customer service said that they would contact the manufacturer for availability and call me back within 3 days. Weeks later, I’m still waiting for that call. The part, by the way, is still listed as in stock on the web site, even though it’s clearly not in stock.
In my initial call to customer service, the rep told me that when they say “in stock”, they really mean that there is a parts bin in their warehouse for the item, which may or may not actually be in stock. That’s just blatant false advertising, and it’s totally unforgivable. I hope this company goes down in flames for their fraudulent business practices.

I needed two things to fix my grill our daughters third birthday. I ordered these from Sears Parts Direct (A division of Sears.com) on May 28th. My daughters birthday was June 4th, and the website stated these items were in stock for immediate shipment.
I received one item, however the second time (that I really needed) did not arrive. I called the day of the arrival of the first part and was told that the second item would also be arriving that day - it did not. I then called back the next business day (June 7th) and was told the item was out of stock. I asked that the order be canceled and I was told that the order could not be canceled and that it was "pending shipment". I asked what "pending shipment" meant and I was told that someone was physically inspecting the part and that it would be shipping in the next two days.
I called again on June 21st and was told the item was now "back ordered" and I asked for a refund. I was told this would be processed immediately and on received the refund for the shipping, but as of June 26th I still haven't received the refund for the product itself.
I called Sears and talked to a rude "customer service" rep who basically denied my request to talk to a supervisor stating that they would tell me the same thing she did.
Buyer beware! Go some where else, or be taken by these guys.

"I went on the SearsPartsDirect website and ordered an agitator assembly for my Kenmore washer. I ordered via Live Chat with a CSR. During the process, I was never informed that I would not be able to cancel the order after it was placed. I called 5 minutes after I placed the order to cancel it because I found a better deal on another site. I was informed that I could not cancel the order. I spoke to a supervisor who told me the same exact thing. I called Sears Corporate and complained and they told me the same thing; cannot cancel the order. The solution that they gave to me was to return it after I received it. One important point... they won't refund the $10.99 they charged me for shipping! Basically, SearsPartsDirect is flipping the bird at all of us, their customers. My only option now is to return the part and dispute the charges with MasterCard. These people give internet shopping a bad name! Don't order anything from them!!!!"

"After reading the reviews for this vendor I backed out twice from placing an order with them. But their price for the smooth top insert for my GE modular range was enough below the other prices I found that I decided it was worth risking the hassle and shipping charges if it didn't work out.
I have to say that nothing could have gone better with my purchase experience. I was actually shocked at how quickly my order arrived. Obviously some folks have had bad experiences with them, but here's one that was flawless."
"Absolute worst ever! Ordered an in-stock part and payed expedited shipping. Checked order status and it says back ordered! I then looked the part up on their site again, and it still says in stock! You've got to be kidding! Also, no way to cancel or change orders once they have your money. I will never shop at a Sears again. "Updated 02/16/2010 They sent the wrong part a second time -- after talking to reps by phone twice -- they still got it wrong. I gave them description and dimensions TWICE, the part they sent twice is nothing like the part I need -- They are pathetic!
The parts diagram was wrong so they sent the wrong part - customer service reps were unable to comprehend issue. Problem was sent to "research" and I never heard from them in any way. It has now been 30 Days -- 28 days since they charged my credit card. I emailed them to cancel order (obviously they are unable to fill order) and have my credit card refunded -- the rep emails me and says they will let me know the results of the cancellation request? What are they talking about? Pathetic service from top to bottom. Like other reviewer this has been my worst online purchasing experience ever!"
"Sears PartsDirect has a serious problem with their system. I actually ordered 2 things from them, but the first item was the wrong part, so I had to order again. I needed the part before the weekend, so I ordered it on Monday and paid $44 for expidited shipping on an "In Stock" item. The estimated ship time was one day. One day came, no part, 2 days no part so I contacted SPD and they told me that the part had been backordered but would ship that day and I should have it Thurs. or Fri. It's now Fri. and not only has the part not shown up, but the order status hasn't changed since Wed. Now I'm told that it is still backordered and I won't hear anything until at least Mon. This is completely unacceptable. For such a large company you would think they would have their act together. This is pitiful.
Update: It is now February 15 and still no part.

"NEVER buy from Sears Parts direct. I placed the order because they had parts on stock. I had a email from them "BACKORDERED". Order cannot be cancelled or changed in anyway. I have to wait until they have and ship. "
"I placed the order on Friday, I was told by the person and email confirmed that the part would be delivered on Monday. GREAT I thought.
Paid $14 on a $53 part so I thought the part would actually be delivered as expected.
Monday came and went, no part. Tuesday came and went, no part, so I called. I was told that $14 was the 'standard' shipping rate. Then I was told that it would be 5-7 business days. I was also told that the part had not even been shipped yet. Although I received the part on Thursday, I still think the is way too much for shipping.
I suggest using RepairClinic.com instead, cheaper prices, cheaper shipping AND parts received MUCH sooner.
I'll not be ordering from sears parts direct again."
"This was my third order from Sears PartsDirect. I placed the order on Tues. May 12 after my order for parts for my Craftsman Riding Mower from another company failed to arrive (see my reviews to read about that experience).
I managed to find a 10% off coupon code which helped with the price a little bit and somewhat offset the cost of shipping. I received my confirmation right away for the order.
By Thurs. morning., I was tracking my shipment via the on-line order system. I received the shipment information e-mail on Thursday night. My order was delivered on Friday even though the estimated delivery date when I ordered was for the following Monday. The expedited shipping delivery date was actually Friday.
The parts I received each had instructions for installation and were well packaged. Even though the prices are a little higher and shipping is a little more, Sears PartsDirect definitely comes through. (Just find a coupon code help offset the higher cost.)"
"NEVER buy from Sears Parts direct. Call their corporate office & flood the lines: Sears Holdings Corporation 3333 Beverly Road Hoffman Estates, IL 60179 ***-***-****. Purchased an oven igniter $125 (45 shipping!)which went bad after 3 mos. Thinking igniter was good, replaced thermostat twice, same problem. Replaced igniter w $20 ebay igniter. Oven works. "This is the worst experience for online shopping I have ever had. I ordered a hose for my vacuam on 4/3/09. After waiting five days past the day it was supposed to be delivered, I called. I was disconnected once and then finally got to talk to a rep after 15 minutes on hold. They couldn't find my order or tracking #, told me to call back in 3 days. Called back, they blamed in on UPS, told me they would expedite and I would have the hose in two days. It's been over a week and still no hose - email this morning said part was backordered and if I didn't have it in 10 days to call. What a run-around!!!!"
"I was purchased a 41A2817 garage door gear. It was a few dollars cheaper at other websites, but Sears Parts Direct has a local store. Getting the part on the spot without shipping was well worth a few extra dollars.
They have many other parts as well. I will keep them in mind next time I need a part for something."
