"I got a hodgepodge of parts and pieces, but no assembly instructions and I'm pretty certain it's missing some critical components. I'm sending it back, but won't be ordering another one because "that's the way they come" and they "can't garuntee that it'll come with instructions or a parts list".
It came in a badly damaged box, without original packaging, or product information, or warranty information, or anything that resembled a new purchase.
The part was covered in dust. The nuts and bolts were packaged in a cracked deli container. My best guess is that this was a display model.
A call to Sears Parts Direct wasn't very helpful, and I was transferred a few times before being told "please call back on Monday". If they do take it back, I'll go somewhere else to get a replacement.
It's too bad that the larger a company gets, the less capable they are at providing decent customer service."
