"I bought three items at Seattle Coffee Gear within a couple of months, with a total cost of about $350. The last item was a Capresso Froth Plus. The pitcher began to leak after about a month. I went into Seattle Coffee Gear (who are a few miles from my house) and they told me to deal with the manufacturer, since it was after the 14-day return period that they allow.

Three leaky pitchers from Capresso, later, I decided that there was no point in getting new pitchers. (Amazon has four reviews out of six -- mine now, included -- which complain of leaky pitchers for the Froth Plus.) I, again, showed at Seattle Coffee Gear, and later sent an e-mail via their online form, hoping they'd show some interest in helping with a defective product. I didn't ask for my money back, I was just hoping for SOME customer service.

I couldn't even get an answer as to whether the Teflon pitcher from the the Pro model would fit on my Plus (it doesn't), as I was offering to BUY the Teflon pitcher from Seattle Coffee Gear. I was told that they didn't know and I should contact the manufacturer. They could have figured it out in ten seconds, as they had both models on display.

The positive reviews here seem to be from customers who order a good and reliable product. Seattle Coffee Gear seems capable of selling and shipping a product, reliably. The negative reviews seem to be from anyone who did not get a good and reliable product. What I get from Seattle Coffee Gear is that they have no customer support, just "policies."

Following the above, the support agent at Capresso offered the Pro version for $35, no shipping, and threw in an extra pitcher -- an offer which I accepted since the frother does make good foam. So, I've spent $90 for a $60 item (Seattle Coffee gear had a 10 percent discount). Capresso cared enough to at least give me a deep discount, while Seattle Coffee Gear cared enough to state their policy several times.

Btw, on seattlecoffeegear.com, the Froth Pro (Teflon pitcher) has 22 reviews, the Froth Plus (plastic pitcher) has no reviews, after they removed my negative one."
