Packaging is wonderful; the faucet was wrapped in bubble wrap and then in a soft cloth bag. All the hardware necessary was there as well. Shipping was prompt and as promised.

"I ordered EZ Close Solid Plastic Round Bowl Toilet Seat - Dresden Blue. I had previously ordered EZ Close Solid Plastic Round Bowl Toilet Seat - Fawn Beige. In each case, my order arrived the next day. In each case, my order was appropriately packaged - no damage. Although the instructions weren't very clear, installation was easy. Removing the old toilet seats required screwdriver and pliers, but installation required only a screwdriver. Quality of the merchandise is very good. I'm please with my purchases and pleased with the prompt service I received from Signature."

"I placed an online order for a bathroom faucet on 3 July. After receiving an e mail confirming the order I heard nothing regarding the order for two weeks. I called the "help desk" to inquire as to why my order had not been processed yet. I was told that they were temporally out of stock and "should have some coming in around three weeks." I waited four weeks with no e mail or telephone updates. I called the help desk again. This time the woman answering the call was rather curt and said "the best she could tell me right now was the shipment would be in around the end September and my faucet would ship by the first week in October." I called on 5 October to check on the status, after acknowledging that I had been waiting three months. I was informed that she would have to call someone to get an update and she would call me back. I declined the call back and had her cancel my order. Three months was all I was willing to wait. I get the feeling if you are not a builder or plumbing supply house they don't want to deal with you. It’s a shame though, as my first order with them went flawlessly and I was very satisfied with the quality of the unit. However, I would have to say they are very lacking in customer service. They certainly could have handled my situation better. I'll be taking my little home owner business else ware "

"DO NOT BUY FROM SIGNATURE HARDWARE EVER!!!! I had the misfortune of purchasing a shower panel from this company. It ended up not working out for my application so I tried to return it. BIG MISTAKE! Just like some of the other reviews here mention, these people do not give a rats a** about any of their customers. They deducted their shipping changes and also a 20% restocking fee which was over a hundred dollars – for nothing. There was no mention about that they were taking out a restocking fee. Just got an email showing the amount of the credit that was being issued with no explanation at all. This is insane. The thing was sent back in the exact same condition as I received it – all packaged up nice and neat . I am disputing the original charge with my credit card company though. This store charges EVERY return with a restocking fee whether or not they actually incur any costs or not. This is why their return policy on their website is so generic and says "may be subject to.." I tried asking them to show me that they had incurred a restocking fee and to show me proof but they would not send me anything. They simply kept referring me to their return policy.
I told them that they need to indicate on the order confirmation email whether or not the item you are buying is subject to a restocking fee or not. Since the policy states "may be subject to..." means that not all items are subject to one. So how are people supposed to know?? They’re not. This is part of the game and why they keep it so generic. Trust me, every single return gets charged a restocking fee. It’s a scam and I have seen other online companies who play this same restocking fee game. These folks were absolutely rude and could care less about any customer satisfaction. I tried to deal with a Maureen Z. Copied their VP of Operations on these emails too and never heard a word from him. I guess the bad attitudes are taught from the top down there. Great business model huh? Again, stay away from this business.

Completely generic, standardized response. Exactly all I got on every email while trying to resolve this. This company is not going to go out of its way to amicably resolve anything and satisfy any customer. The comments in these other negative reviews here proves that.
Paying a minimum wage worker to take 5 minutes to put new bubble wrap and packing tape on is " a long and labor intensive process". I got charged over $100 dollars for this? You see my point. Just more fiction from a less that reputable company.
Also to this point : “There are cases when the restocking fee is waived, such as in the event of an exchange for a similar or equally priced item”
This is also known as – “if you don’t spend money on something else at our company there will always be a restocking fee applied and you are not getting a full refund – ever.”
You would think that after so many bad reviews that some executive at this company would try to make things right but as you can see first-hand right here, all you get from these people are excuses. I guess maybe the people running this company are where the problems are? Consumers – you decide, but don’t take a chance with this business.
