"Ordered a bracelet for my wife for our anniversary. Called on a Friday morning and asked about overnight shipping. Was told I could. I paid $30 extra to have it overnighted. Never received a shipping confirmation. Called back on Saturday and was told that overnight was not actually overnight if ordered on Friday. Instead, it would be next business day, or Monday. Today is Monday and I still have not received the bracelet. Checked online and status was "Processing Order". this was 6:30pm. Called to find out and was told that it could not be overnighted on Friday because the cutoff is 9am their time and I called at 9:17am. I wasn't told this on Friday or Saturday. So it should have gone out today right? Wrong! still "Processing Order". So now I am waiting to get the order and they had better be returning the money I paid for overnighting which apparently for SkyMall must mean 3-5 business days. Will not be ordering from SkyMall anymore. They clearly do not have their systems in order! Such a joke!! And thanks to Social Media, my friends will not know it too."

"While the folks on the phone are very nice...they are not well informed. I placed an order and checked the make sure the order was in stock and that it would arrive before I left town. I was told it was. And that it would arrive the Monday before the Thursday I was to leave. It is Wednesday and I just received an email that the order is back ordered and would not arrive for almost another week. I called to discuss this and the sales associate did not even know how it would be shipped when it does ship. Again, the folks are very nice but somehow this is not enough. Dear SkyMall...if you cannot train your associated to know your products and policies, you should not pretend to be a reliable business!
Just though I would add the new information I received. I called to see if this order would ship soon and was told it was on back order with no estimated date of becoming instock. I asked to cancel my order, as I need this item and was going to order something similar elsewhere. I was told they would contact the shipper and it would take 3 days to cancel. I was concerned that I might order from the other company and that this order might ship and I would have two items and two costs. They assured me that there was no way this order would come in or be available and that I should not worry. So this morning I got an email saying that my order shipped! So now I will have two similar items, two charges and one huge inconvenience! I understand the concept of third party vendors...or whatever SkyMall wants to call themselves, but to be so disconnected to your providers and products is just poor business and provides inferior customer service. Hope you all have a better experience!"

"Made a purchase and needed it before our family trip. Skymall couldn't say if I would get it in time. The cost for expedited shipping was outrageous so I called back an hour later and cancelled. I didn't receive a confirmation that I cancelled and when I called I got the typical run-a-round answers. I didn't get a confirmation like all other online stores normally give. Skymall said I'd get a confirmation in about three days after the vendor decides if it's warranted. I would have bought the product before my next trip but wouldn't buy from SM ever again because of their lack of follow-up (confirmation of refund). "
"I will never order from sky mall again. I placed my order 11/14/14 anticipating that it would be here for Christmas. Without any notification until after I paid, I now get an email that it will ship 12/31/14. I will be sharing this experience with everyone I know, including on Facebook. That is extremely unprofessional and subpar given how common online holiday shopping has become. Unacceptable."

"My biggest issue and the reason for return was the bad taste left in my mouth once my order was processed via an agent who promised me a 10% 'back-door' discount for being a 'new customer'. The 'items' I purchased apparently didn't qualify for a 'discount'. When processed, and no discount was given, I called and was told since item was 'not discountable' NO discount could be given, despite what agent promised. Therefore, I am returning all items... You need get your 'agents' in line! "
