"I initially placed an order on Skymall.com on December 1 for item # 417953. I received my confirmation e-mail and thought that everything was good to go. Well I was wrong. I went back on the website on December 10 to check on the status of my order and it still showed "Processing Order". So I called Sky mall customer service number to check and see if everything was ok with the order, they assured me it was by verifying my address and last 4 digits of my card. I then checked the status of my order on December 4 and it still showed "Processing order" so I called Sky mall again and the representative assured me that everything was ok. On Monday Dec 8 it still showed "processing order" when I called the customer service line the rep told me that they were having computer problems and that is why my order was never processed. I explained to her that I was very upset and I would like to cancel my order and start another order (# 23999174) and I would like expedited shipping to be covered by skymall for the unconvience of this situation. She said they will not cover expedited shipping but only cover regular shipping. The rep assured me that my shipping would be covered on the back end not up front, I agreed. Then today I get a message stating that the item I have ordered is now backordered and wont ship until Dec 16. I will never shop at Sky mall again and will inform others not to shop. I initially ordered the Item on December 1 thinking that there is no way possible I won’t receive this by Christmas and Sky mall has screwed me on this. NEVER will I shop here again. NEVER. You have magazines in every plane in America and you can’t make purchasing an order on your website easy? Thanks for not being able to get my item in time for Christmas! Thanks SKYMALL. "This was my first time ordering from SkyMall and I don't think I ever will again or even recommend them. I placed the order on November 18 for an item that I was extremely clear about needing by December 10. The representative I was talking to over the phone assured me several times that it was going to be back in stock on December 1 and I would have it by December 10. When December 1 came by, I kept following up to see if my order status online had changed to shipped and it had not. So, I called SkyMall many times and every time, I spoke to representatives who were very nice but really didn't do anything to help. They contacted the seller and I had to wait for several days for a response. When the time passed, I called back and had to almost force them to escalate the issue. They wouldn't provide me with a phone number of the seller and kept putting me on hold for a supervisor. A supervisor never came on the phone and then I was told that the issue was escalated even further and we should have a response in a couple of days. Every time they put me on hold for a supervisor, I was on hold for so long that the line would disconnect and I'd have to call again and explain the entire saga again to a new person. This happened five times in one instance. No one took the courtesy to give me a call back when I was disconnected. It just stuns me that even after all that, I never did speak with a supervisor. Finally, today, I received an email to tell me that the item was backordered until January 30th! If I had known this in the very beginning, I would have never ordered through SkyMall and waited all this time. Now, I don't have the item and spent all this time for nothing and got stressed in the process. And I ran out of time for the holidays to get this item. I am so disappointed with my experience and I hope that others read this carefully and think twice before ordering with them. "

"I order an item that was not marked out of stock or discontinued. I was charged for the item on my credit card, then i received an email a few days later stating that the item had been cancelled due to a possible merchant discontinuation yet on the website there was nothing indicating same. In future i would ask that if something is discontinued or out of stock, then it is up to the store to keep up dates on the website as now i do not have the funds in my account to order this item from another store and must wait days to get my money back. It was over $100 that was deducted from my bank account and probably will not go back on until a few days, which means i am short 1 Christmas gift. "

"The Yankee Stadium seat I ordered arrived this afternoon
The box was torn open and the hair was exposed.
Missing hardware I called CS and a very nice lady listened to my complaint of United Parcel Service care of the chair.
Granted the chair is heavy at 90lbs but they should be able to handle it if they choose to accept and charge for the shipment.
The seat I have does not fold up it this the way it is supposed to be?

"The shipping was AWFUL and they didn't seem to care. They made it signature required for delivery. Then the shipping company wouldn't give me even a 2 hour window of when I could expect delivery and they only delivered Monday through Friday 8-5 while I'm at work. I had to call UPS three times and sit on hold to try to get them to hold the shipment at their facility each time being told I would get a call back within an hour...never happened. So after paying $20 in shipping, I had to drive 40 minutes each way from my home to go pick up my package. When I called Skymall to express my concern, he basically asked what I wanted him to do about it and there was nothing he could do. I told him that I thought refunding shipping would be fair since I had to spent 80 minutes driving and who knows how long on the phone trying to get it worked out, but he said there was nothing they were willing to do. Won't be shopping Skymall ever again!!!"
"I cannot say this was a pleasant experience. It took you 5 days to inform me that the item had not been in stock and would be delayed. Then when you shipped, you didn't provide a tracking link though there is space on your form. Even in writing this review, you required invoice or order number and date of order instead of having it pre-filled. "
"Well, I ordered an item on Dec. 1. It's a kids toy for Christmas. I was told that it would not be available to ship, until Dec. 15th, and then their standard shipping would have it to me in 10 business days, which may get it to me by the new year. I also asked to have them upgrade the shipping so it'll arrive by Christmas, and nothing yet. I just don't like the 48 hour response time to an email. I hope the item arrives, or I'll request a refund and get it elsewhere. "

"After enrolling with SkyMall, I received an e-mail offering 20% discount on my first purchase at checkou. I than placed my order and was surprised that the 20% wasn't applied at checkout. Contacted customer service but no one answered. SkyMall doesn't show if items are in stock or not. After placing my order, two days later I received an e-mail stating that an item was on backorder. I tried to cancel but didn't get a response by e-mail. I than called but the attendent only took notes but no action. Stated that SkyMall would call me back, which never happened. Terrible shopping exprience."
"I ordered three Suzy Kuzy beer mits all of different colors. When they arrived, I received two of the same color. After three phones call to customer service, I've been told I have to reorder the correct color and hope it arrives in time for Christmas. This is terrible customer service! The individual who packaged my items did it incorrectly and now I have to do more work to make it right. There should have been an easy exchange at least, the correct one sent for free would have been best considering the nominal price. The representatives from SkyMall have been very friendly but this is so fustrating, I don't want to buy the correct one now! This is not my error, you should be making every effort to correct it with little to no work on my end!"
"Awful!!! I ordered 2 expensive items for Christmas both showing In Stock & I had to contact skymall for the status. Reply was on back order expected to ship on FEB 2015!!! They both still show In Stock."
"I ordered a Christmas gift to be shipped to Florida in November a water shooting float. I gave them the correct address at the time and it was put in wrong for shipping. when I got my order confirmation I called and told them the shipping address was wrong. they supposedly changed the address. I contacted them again because it hadn't arrived. was told it was returned because of the address was not correct I was told they had the note where I had contacted them right away but it had already shipped then I was told it had come back and was returned to the company I asked them to resend it now I get an e-mail telling me I have to reorder the item. This has been a mess and I will reorder the item but this is skymall's mistake and they should be taking care of this since I had already told them to resend the item to the right address this time. "This was my first order with SkyMall and will be my last. Ordered an item for my wifes Birthday at approximately 1245 PM Eastern Time on Dec. 1 and paid almost $20 for expedited shipping to ensure the that it would arrive before December 9th. Did not receive the tracking number until today (December 5th) which shows that the item shipped UPS Ground on Dec. 3rd and is scheduled for a December 10th delivery. The item was a total of 4 pounds, so there iss absolutely no reason for it to be shipped ground...especially with customer-paid expedited shipping. I did speak to a customer service rep who informed me the only thing that could be done was a refund of the additional amount I paid for expedited shipping. Not the full amount of the shipping costs, just the additional amount that I paid over the standard shipping cost. Great that I will get a few dollars back...not good that the gift will not arrive in time for the Birthday. Poor performance. "
