"Solid signal sent the wrong item, (a 3-stranded thermostat wire instead of a single heavy duty grounding wire) and when I contacted them via the online chat, the agent cited a 30-day return rule. So I did delay opening the package, since I didn't do the project right away. I found that frustrating, since it was the wrong item. I then called and the customer service by phone was great. Very helpful, worked with tech support, and then sent me the correct item."
"I was recommended the HD8200XL for my area. Installed the antenna but not able to receive any digital channels only RF and UF channels. Was sent new transformer. Still didn't work. I then ordered their recommended signal amplifier LNA200. Still didn't work. I asked if I could get a different antenna that may work better for my area. I was told that I could if I returned the first antenna. I don't have a 6 foot long box to return this antenna."

Their response was that since I ordered the original online, instead of through a customer service representative, I would have to pay for the return shipping. "I ordered a Winegard signal amplifier to replace an original equipment signal amplifier on a Winegard antenna. Ordering was easy and the amplifier arrived as scheduled. The amplifier did not work and Solid Signal refused to acknowledge or respond to several inquiries made through their contact/return page. The fine print in their shipping invoice states that electronics cannot be returned. How do you determine if they work unless you install them? It's been a couple of months now and no response whatsoever. I'm out $41 but will chalk it up to poor decision making on my part and a promise never to use or recommend Solid Signal for any future purchases."

"I placed an order for more than 1000 dollars in parts. I was informed that some of the items were backordered. I was all right with this. However, the first batch that arrived contained parts that I didn't order and shorted me on parts that I did order. The second shipment contained some of the parts that were backordered. I placed this order on 9/5 and as of 9/26 I am still waiting for the rest of the items, including some that were not said to be backordered. I emailed them once about it, got a response that answered half of my questions pertaining to my order status. I emailed them a second time and was ignored. Spend your money with someone who will actually ship your items."

and the only way to get advanced warning was to scan the 2-m repeater HAM bands, but I needed a higher antenna.
SolidSignal advertised two models of what they said was a "50-foot ROHN Telescoping Mast"
I ordered the 9H50 for $ 184.
They called back and said it would cost me $ 70 for shipping charges!
Well I went ahead and agreed. Four weeks later they contacted me saying it would be ANOTHER MONTH before they could ship.
I told them to cancel the order as I can get it via Amazon or DX Engineering much sooner (and cheaper, I found out).
They told me they could not cancel the order even though I argued for quite a while on the phone.
Then I found out that their "50 foot" pole was only 34 feet.
They were terrible to deal with and their advertising was an outright lie about the "50 foot antenna"
