"I planned on making several purchases so I bought the club membership discount. After the orders without any problem, I placed a very large merchandise order. I was told that I had saved "too much already" with the discount membership I had purchased. They would not honor the discount program I had paid for now would they refund my money I paid for the membership. Do yourself a favor and avoid this company. They have no ethics and their customer service has absolutely no interest in keeping customers happy. Do yourself a favor and shop elsewhere."

"I was a member of the Sportsman Guide Club for a year. There products varied greatly in quality from good to junk. I returned some items a few months after Christmas, and the lady in Customer Service was very helpful. However they told me it would be applied to my balance, they have four month interest free pay plan for purchases over $150. Well I schesked and I had no balance due, so where is the money that I should have recieved for my return. I don't think there entirely dishonest I do think they are poorly managed, and that the catalogues which seem to come every other day are sometimes very misleading."

"This was my first and last time shopping at Sportsmansguide.com. I placed an order on their website & the order stated the amount owed. I put in my credit card information & received confirmation email with that dollar amount. I later checked my credit card statement & discovered that Sportsmansguide.com had charged me more than the stated price on my invoice. Their customer service refused to give me back my money that they overcharged me. I am now working with my credit card company to dispute the overcharge. Very unethical company! Stay away!"

"Odered a pair of waders on September 16th, and was promised a 4 to 7 day delivery. After two weeks I hadn't recieved anything, or any notice, so I called them. I was told that the item was on backorder and would ship the next day. Waited another week or so, and still no response so I called again. After being transferred three times I was finally told that my address didn't match the credit card so the order was not filled. They charged my card alright, but just wouldn't send the merchandise. The attendant said they called me and sent email, but it's amazing how I didn't recieve either. After a very short discussion with this very short customer service attendant I asked for my money back. I won't ever shop here again, and I don't recommend you do either. Their main priority seems to be getting your money into their account. Anything beyond that doesn't much matter."

"Very angry !

I placed an order with Sportsmans Guide and got confirmation email. Received my order fine.
But ... they charged WRONG amount on my CC and refused to resolve it and honor their own price with coupon. Which THEY sent me in email.

I'm going through my CC company to get money back.

BEWARE. Sportsman Guide will not honor their prices, will OVERCHARGE you and will REFUSE to resolve their mistake.

I'm not the only one. Lots of other customers faced same thing on the slickdeals forum.

"this is the absolute worst reseller I've ever experience in decade. Not only I got overcharged, a similar experience as the other reviewers stated below, but they sent me a defective mini led flashlight. I will never buy from this company EVER AGAIN. Beware all other future buyers!"

"This company will charge an additional amount to your card without informing you! Very FRAUDULENT to do so! Made an order that came out to a negative amount after coupon, check my account and they charged me for shipping. When I emailed to inquire about the charges, they were very rude and condescending. Had to resolve the unauthorized charges with my credit card company. First and LAST order I will ever enter into with this company. I HIGHLY recommend you stay clear of this place! "

"I've ordered from Sportsman's Guide several times (10+) over the years and have never had a problem with them. In fact, I'm editing this review after another successful transaction with them. I don't understand all the low ratings they've received. I guess people will take the time to complain but not to praise. I save a ton with their Buyer's Club discount. Prices are cheaper than Cabela's even without all the discounts Sportsman's Guide offers. I get two $10 off coupon for every order and free shipping when I renew my Buyer's Club membership."

"I ordered the DAC gun cleaning kit from them, when I ordered it it showed everything I wanted . New rods, brushes , mops, jags and patches. When I got it there was no mops . I called The Sportsmans Guide to question it . they told me that it does not come with the mops and there was nothing they could do . I told them that I liked the kit but it was supposed to have 7 mops in it , to which they told me that there was nothing they could do other than refund my money and send me a return shipping label or I could keep it and they would send me a $10 coupon off my next order . I told them I just wanted the mops and ask if there was anyway they could send them to me and that I would even take 4 not 7 . They said they did not stock mops but the website showed they did and they said they could not do that . After talking to them for like half hour I told them that it was wrong and I would NEVER ordoer from them again. The kit is going back and I got a much better one from Cabela's for less money. I will not deal with this company again and I would not reffer anyone to them."

"I ordered a pair of boots June 28th. Phenomenal price. Website said they weren't in stock, ETA approx 6-7 weeks. No problem.

One week later, I received a notice by mail saying they weren't in stock, ETA 6 weeks. Still not a problem.

July 10th, they're here, the right stuff, the right size. It didn't even take two weeks including ground shipping.

I've never ordered anything from anywhere that showed up more than a month early. I'm not complaining!

*edit - I just noticed a prepaid return postage label was included with my invoice. I won't be using it, but a nice touch.

"Ordered a pair of women's muck shoes (rubbers) on 2/19, received them 2/22. It was a great price, I got exactly what I ordered, and my Visa charge was correct. Also got a confirmation e-mail the day after I ordered, which included a UPS tracking number. I'm very happy with my purchase and would shop with them again. "

"Fast. Easy. Cheap. Have made many orders and have always been pleased. One of my orders when delivered had the box torn open and the main item of my order wasnt there (50lbs of ammo $150 worth). So I called them and they proptly seent a replacment order. ALWAYS GET THE $.99 PACKAGE PROTECTION. it is well worth it."
