"order filled accurately and promptly. contents were well-packaged and shipped as promised. great experience!"
"I ordered two items totaling $55. The order was over $50 dollars so shipping was going to be free. I also used a coupon for $10 dollars off a
$50 purchase. So the final total was $45, shipped. This is still shown in my order history on their site. One item was a $25 smartmedia card that had a $30 rebate on it. I received an email stating the smartmedia card was out of stock
and the order would be delayed. Since the email said the order was on hold and would be delayed, I assumed that I would receive my complete order when the smartmedia card was in stock, and I was okay with that. Today, I received my order minus the smartmedia card, and was charged 7.95 for
shipping, and the $10 off coupon not applied for a total cost of $40. This was my first order with staples and probably my last. I have never had another seller remove an item from my order without clearly stating so. I have had some items put on backorder, but they have always honored their original shipping costs and any discounts. I'm very dissatisfied. I have called and talked to one of their costumer support
representatives and did not find any help. After I emailed them this same information and asked that they remove my account and credit card information from their records, a costumer support representative replied and said they they didn't keep credit card information on record and then said he would credit me for the shipping charges. My question is how can they give credit if they don't have my credit card info on record?
I suggest that all buyers be careful when buying items with rebates and using coupons. The total cost of your order isn't finalized until it's shipped and to late to change.
I personally don't plan to order from staples again. They lost my trust on my first order.

"I've ordered from Staples before and my experiences are either hit or miss. Fortunately, this time was a hit -- my drive was delivered as expected, the customer service rep was very friendly about a price match, and the credit appeared on my credit card within a few days. At no time did I feel uncomfortable with the order, and will probably place another order if I ever need or want anything from them."
"I ordered an Antec 1080amg, Athlon xp 2200+, 160gb Maxtor Hd, and a floppy drive. I paid atleast 50% lower than anyother retailer on pricewatch. Staples is just excellent. All was delivered on time and in perfect packaging! I would advise anyone who wants a qualitiy reseller to buy from them. "
"Purchased Sound Blaster Audigy 2 Platinum sound card and it was delivered ahead of schedule. Very smooth transaction."
"staples said the monitor i ordered was scheduled for deliver on the 19th. it didn't come the 19th, nor the 20th, so i called. the customer service rep wasn't very helpful, only said it was never scheduled for delivery on the 19th or 20th, and it would come the next day. well, it didn't. i called again. i was promised it'd come monday. well, today's monday and i got a message saying it'd come tomorrow. how long do i have to wait for a monitor to be delivered?
they blame it on ups having problems with snowstorms. well, i live in california, and last i heard of we didn't have any snowstorms. don't buy from staples if you need it soon"
"On Jan 28, after reading the "What people are saying" @ resellerratings, ordered a 17" flat panel monitor. Got a call that they were out of stock locally but would ship one from a different warehouse. I approved the order and received it within a week. Using the coupons and rebate final cost was around $90. Wanting to upgrade my computer found a deal on the HP 554e. Got an AMD 2200+, with 80 gig hd, 64meg NVIDIA video card, 16X DVD, 48X CDRW, 256M DDR2100 RAM. Looked like a lot of customers had ordered when I did. Web site said delivery date would be four weeks. I received it within two weeks. Final price, delivered to my door for just over $500. Very pleased with my experience."
"they had a really good deal on an HP-2110 printer, and the whole process was quick and painless. Item shipped the next day, and with the free shipping better than hitting the store itself."
"I recently attempted to purcahse a Sony Clie NX60 from staples.com . I used a $20 off coupon for a $400 dollar purchase. I was alittle bit apprehensive in order since ive seen some bad reviews of staples. however it was such a good deal. I ended up receiving my package on the day described. After opening it up, I discovered I had a Clie SJ10....a PDA worth around $150 dollars. Wow! such a big price difference of almost $250 dollars. I call the 1-800 number
and a replacement unit is on it's was. The person told me to leave the PDA on my front door. (yeah ok, it might get stolen, then i'd be SOL) so I took it into my local staples.
Haven't seen or heard anything from staples yet. The replacement was supposed to be here next day air. It's been 9 days and counting. At least some people here got a phone call."
" At about 2:00 am, on the first day of the CenDyne DVD-R deal for $150, I placed an order. It was processing for about 12 hours, then informed me that they were sold out. The 12 hour processing time is ridicluous, and considering their coupon policy, I have a fealing that it had something to do with it."
"On Dec. 4, 2002 I purchased a Toshiba Laptop PC Model 2405-S201 for a business trip Dec. 8-13 2002. The PC was bought at the STAPLES store in Stroudsburg, PA. 18360. I received the PC, complete AC adapter assembly and complete documentation package including “Recovery and Applications” CD. The PC did NOT work at all right from the beginning. It required a power on password which had been created while the PC was at Staples being sold. I called Toshiba Support and was was given “case number” 4711909. When I explained the trouble I was told that I would have to take the PC to a Toshiba authorized repair center as the PC was still under warranty. I was told that CompUSA in Parsippany NJ, was an authorized repair center. I called them to make an appointment and was told that they would have to send it out to Toshiba at my cost, as they were not allowed to open up a new PC that was still under warranty. Therefore on Dec. 16, 2002, I took the PC (complete with documentation package and AC adapter assembly) back to Staples with the Toshiba “case number” and told them to send it back to Toshiba for warranty service. The PC did not get back to me for almost 2 months. I received it back Feb 5, 2003. The PC was missing the AC adapter assembly (Staples gave me a generic one), the complete documentation package, 2 screws from the bottom used to hold on small access panels and 2 of the small access panels were scraped and gouged (I know that the scrapes and gouges were caused by STAPLES). I also found that the PC would not start or anything from the battery. If the AC adapter was not plugged in, the PC was dead. The box that the PC was returned in stated that it was sent back from PCWarranty Services.Com, 613 Hwy 11E, New Market, TN 37820. I called Toshiba and was told to talk to Staples. It turns out that PCWarranty Services.Com is, according to Toshiba, unknown to Toshiba. I called STAPLES and PCWarranty Services. PCWarranty Service stated that they received the PC in the above-mentioned condition (missing screws, no documentation package etc.). I sent an angry letter to Staples Corporate and the store manager called me and ofered to take back the PC and give me a full refund of my money. That is what I did. At this point Staples owes me nothing but I have zilch to show for 2 months of aggravation. The bottom line is don't buy a PC from Staples as they send to some brand X repair center and that will just be the start of your troubles. "
"Got a good price thru a coupon. DVD burner delivered promptly, but did not work. Followed up with them a while later and they shipped a replacement, which worked. Only small glitch: I got impatient when they didn't pick up the old one like they said they would. As they had charged my credit card for the new one, I just took the old one to the store and got my credit.
Done."
"Got best price online thanks to online coupon. Delivered the scanner the next day. Great all around. Also bought a monitor (seperate purchase). Same great things as the scanner."
"I got in on a deal for the Canon S30 digital camera on January 3rd. The expected delivery date was January 10th. A week after that they called telling me the camera was no longer available. On the order status portion of their website, it only said that it had been shipped. Apparently that means nothing, as Canon is the one who ships the actual camera. Only after repeated angry calls and misinformation was I able to receive the camera. Dealing with Staples wasn't worth the 50 dollars I saved. Stay away."
"Bought a chair and said have in stock at my local store. Went to pick it up and they didn't have it. Came in a week later and would not honor previous price. Would never buy from again"
