"I really like staples. The are FAST to ship... I get it the next day. It is quite amazing. The night before the online invoice will state "processing arriving the next day" (yeah... right) but then the next day it really does arrive. My only gripe with them is the rebate center, I think they are a bit sketchy, and you got to be careful keeping copies of all mailed rebates and follow up after a few weeks. So far made got all the rebates I sent and waiting on one. Currently I would recommend Staples.com...."

"I purchased a massage chair from them but later on in the day, I changed my mind, so I called and got a very nice CSR who told me just to refuse it and I would get my money back. UPS brought it the next day and so I refused. Fast forward to 11 days later. I called and asked why they had not refunded my money. She told me she was sorry, she had no idea why and told me my money would be refunded in 48 hours. I go online to see that Staples had taked an additional 10.79 out of my account! I immediatly call back to ask why instead of my refund had they taken more? She said I had used a coupon and they had to take it off. I ask why they can whisk money right out of my account without authorization but it takes 48 hours to put it back? She had no answer. Fast forward 4 days later. I receive my refund....but they still owe me the 10.79 they had taken out. The chair costed 82.10 with tax, minus coupon, 72.10. I paid 72.10, then they take an addition 10.79 for a total of 82.89. They only pay me back 73.29. Thay means I paid them 9.60 for the aggrivation they caused?! I called back to explain that they still owed me some money, but all I got was, "No ma'm, we paid you, that other money was for the coupon". No matter how I explained this, I got nowhere with them. So I paid them 9.60 for using a coupon? Thanks for stealing my money Staples! I won't be shopping with you again."

"I bought a 256 MB SD Flash Memory Card from them last Monday. The card was supposed to be delivered on Tuesday, but I received a call late Monday night telling me there might be a one day delay. I was offered to cancel the order, but I declined since one more day makes no difference to me. Tuesday came and went, but no delivery. I called them up and they apologized again for the delay and offered me a $25 gift certificate for the inconvenience. I got the certificate today. I understand all major retailers have service glitches, but I'm very satisfied with the way Staples handle theirs. Will definitely buy from them again."

"I ordered 100 Staples brand CD-R disks since it comes with the rebate, then it would be free. Three days later, I received and was disappointed. Why they didn't use a cardboad box?? It was in the thin plastic bag. Thin white plastic bag for a heavy stuff without no cushio!! They used UPS Ground shipping and the plastic bag was totally ripped off and the spindle plastic case was so damaged and the sale slip was missing. It is very important since I have to send it to receive the rebate. I emailed my complain and I got the email and they would send the sales slip in ten days....Customer service is not bad. "I ordered a shredder online from Staples.com. The ordering process was smooth and the shipping was fast. However, when I received my shredder it was defective.
I called Staples and was told a replacement would be delivered the following day. Moreover, I was told that a Staples rep. would come pick up the defective unit within the next five business days. Well, this is a pain and was told there is no way around it. Do they expect someone to wait around for 5 buisness days 'till they come by? or leave the unit out front on the doorstep? ya right!
I did not receive the replacement unit the next day and promptly called back Staples on the following day. The CSR gave no reason as to why the unit had not shipped, but told me I would receive the product that day. Fortunately, I did and the rep also picked up the defective unit.
Overall, I am not happy that I had to call back a 2nd time to the Staples Support hotline. Not only had they failed to resolve the issue, but they made no attempt to follow up when the replacement was not delivered. Why should I be the one calling them? Furthermore, I feel that their pick-up policy for defective items needs to be re-evaluated (for residential customers). At least make it possible to drop off the item at a local store. Would I buy from them again? Probably, but in-store instead of online."
