"I think the order number is the invoice number right? So i just stuck my ordernumber in that invoice number box b/c I never got my packing slip and the Customer Service person said I could use my Order status page as my packing slip, for rebates. I received my product pretty fast, I'm satisfied with the shipping, but I am ok that they didn't give me my packing slip. For this delivery I must give them very good and excellent ratings because I like my product very much and the service."

"I bought a Cendyne 52x24x52x from Staples for $69.94 on 3/07/03. I would have never bought this internal CD-RW drive if I would have known that I would get a run-around with the $30 rebate that I was supposed to get. I sent everything in that was needed and checked it several times to make sure everything was correct soon after I bought the drive. I then received a postcard in mid-May saying that I didn include the Serial number. I did send in the serial number because it was right next to the UPC code. I even wrote down the Serial number on the box just in case before I sent them my serial number. I called them the same day I received the postcard to find out what was happening with my rebate and I got told that it was the incorrect S/N. I said that I was lucky I wrote the number down before I sent the number to them. They then said that I should receive my rebate in 8 to 10 weeks. I still haven't received my $30 rebate check. I will not buy anything else from Staples if they can't stand up to their promises."

"Horrible experience with staples. Staples courier delievered my order to a wrong address and signed by an unknown person. Staples refused to investigate. I have to dispute the charge with my credit card company. What a shame Staples!"

"This is not a problem with Staples, but with one of their vendors, PNY. I bought PNY memory. They offered a 20 dollar rebate. Big mistake. PNY claims that we never sent in the UPC. BEING OLD HANDS AT THE REBATE GAME WE DOUBLE AND TRIPPLE CHECKED TO MAKE SURE ALL MATERIAL INCLUDING THE ORIGINAL UPC WAS INCLUDED WITH THE REBATE APPLICATION. Now they say that we did not include the original UPC. Hockey box! We did! We even have a copy! Which they do not want, because it is not the original! Staples, you need to quit depending on rebates to offer specials! Too many vendors do not honor the rebate offers! PNY is one of them! Ps, PNY, if you are reading this, our tracking number for this rebate is 41176340. I am trashing you in every ratings place and dog pound possible! "

"Staples has ok prices. Great prices if you wait for their rebates and coupons though! They ship very fast because it comes out of a distribution center or store if they are in your town. They also have good pricematching policies. I've ordered from them many times (in excess of 10 or so) and have never had a problem. I find their online store more appealing then their B&M stores."

"Excellent service and on time delivery. Free shipping as well. Not only did they deliver by UPS, they ship in 1 business day. Unbelievable.

Their rebates are great too. It took less than a month roundtrip to get my rebate from them. This was sending the rebate and waiting to get it back. I definitely recommend this store to everyone.

"This is the first time ever using this place but I have to voice my opinion for staples website for ordering.

First, dont believe the one day delievery time. Not true unless you live 20 miles from there warehouse. How many people live that close that it the norm for there website delivery time frame. I could guess but I would have to say a low amount.
One day turned into 5 days. Cost me 54 dollars for a 5 days delivery on a laptop. UPS ground. I was ripped off on shipping as you can tell.

Second, There site for the laptop I wanted was confusing for me. They way it looked was I should have got a cd writer/dvd combo in it. I only received it with a dvd.

The people are very courteous with there emails even if you are pretty mad, that was nice but also not helpful. there answer was return it, then I received a message saying UPS was coming to get it instead of trying to help me.

I can understand many companies dont pay to much to deal with someone like me but at least get me management. I tried that the first day. They told me they were call center and there was no manager.

If that was true I know now why I have had so many problems, but I think that was a lie.

I am in the process of trying to contact there corporate customer service. Guess what, seems like the whole dept went to a training meeting. They were suppose to be back in 2 hours. No call back and still no answer.

I will not say I would ever buy anything online from them again, but the chance is very slim if they dont call me back asap.

Thanks for letting me get some steam off here.
I hope this helps some people before puching that submit button for an order.
Check the specs again, and read there fine print on shipping.

"Yet another awesome experience with staples.com.. Ink cartridge combopack was received on 2nd day, as promised again :)(ALWAYS on time shipping.. this must vary by area? i can't believe others are having problems with this..) Their website and shipping is first class, in my experience..
Also, i want to put a good word in for staple's rebate center.. i just received my rebate from a hard drive and it got here wayy ahead of schedule.. staplesrebates.com is also very accurate and tells you right where your rebate is in the process..

I'll definitely be a returning staples customer.. i've never really cared for the store that much, but i think the last 3 times of ordering from staples.com have made me a loyal customer.

"Staples has become my number one, first off we just got one not even a year ago in my area, Columbus, GA. I started going because they price matched Internet Prices. I did this once, and it was smooth with no problems at all.

I have been into staples several times for other things, always nice and friendly.

I decided I want to update my Digital Camera, so I found one I liked, found it online for $235 or something, they wanted $300. Well, I went into the store, they didn't have the free kit that was on a deal with it, and they informed me they NO longer price match online. I was a little sad, and they explained how they were the only ones who did that, and they were getting hit pretty bad. I said ok, and asked to price match the one at a local sears which was moving and had it cut back a little. They said they would have to charge me $50 for the kit then, since Sears didnt offer one. I said screw it, they expressed that they were sorry, and they promised to order my free asc. kit soon. Within a week, a little less, I called, and they had it in, or actually was unloading the truck and said they would call us back if it was there.

My camera had a small problem according to HP, they wanted me to send it in. It had been 3 weeks, 1 week over Staples 2 week exchange policy, however the managers never gave me any problem when I asked for an exchange, they were real nice, and told me to call back if anyone gave me a problem later that night.

Very Nice Store, I like their Sales, nice to have some choices around town!
