"I have been with Star Tex for about 3-4 years. I have had problems before with them sending me a notice to disconnect because of non-payment, but, I have my account set up to automatic debit to take care of bills. I had this problem for 2 months, finally resolved that. This was very frustrating. Now, another issue with trying to get a temporary disconnect of my power because I need to have my panel box replaced. They told me I would need to give them 48 hours notice, and that my power would be off, OFF for 24 hours before they could turn it back on. I will leave this company when my service comes up for renewal. They are the worst."

"Temporarily renting a property and a conflict exists between ESI ID address and physical address. Tried to sign up for power and StarTex convinced me my street used to have a different name. I signed up for power, then realized that the address was the next street over. When I realized the error I called back to cancel and manager told me to call back with a valid address because the one I'm at doesn't exist in the system. Because obviously if it's not in the system, then it doesn't exist and I must just be stupid and not know my address. I've been a StarTex customer for 10 years and had just renewed my contract on my permanant residence. I wish I hadn't renewed. I want nothing to do with them. It's not my fault that there is a conflict between the ESI ID and service address, but they treated me like it was my fault."
