"StubHub created a memory that I can not forget. I wasn't planning to go to the concert at until 4 hours before showtime. StubHub made that possible even though the tickets were sold out. Thanks StubHub."
"I bought tickets for the Harry Styles Concert 2 years ago. It was rescheduled due to COVID. The day of the
(rescheduled) event, I was unable to obtain my tickets. Stub Hub was unable to have them delivered, after I had
traveled 6 hours with my daughter and 4 friends to attend the event. They could find me tickets, but they were 4 times
as expensive, so I had little choice but to purchase them. My original purchase was $1500. Now I paid over $4,000."
"I recently listed tickets to a football game. The next day I went online to see if my tickets were listed. They were not. When I entered my listing number, the site said they could not be found. When I tried to relist my tickets they said I was unable to do so since they’ve already been listed. Previously this happened to me. I waited on the telephone for 2 1/2 hours to have the issue corrected. The same thing has happened again. When I called today during business hours the message said I was calling after business hours and the line was disconnected. Run… Do not walk… Away from this site. It’s a scam."
"I was supposed to receive mobile transfer tickets but received PDF tickets instead, I purchased 2 tickets and received 10 (the 8 additional tickets were somewhat marked through). This concerned me. I called customer service (I spoke with rep Eanna E. the entire 2 hours I was on the phone) and they had me send the PDF of the tickets I received. She said she could not believe someone would send this and she has never seen this before and she was trying to call the seller but they did not answer. She said she was going to reach out to try to get me replacement tickets or a refund. After a long wait she had me check my email and she had sent me what they called “fixed tickets” which was 2 PDF files, each containing one of my tickets from the PDF file I sent them. Customer service had been very polite up to this point, but that changed. When custom service sent me the PDF tickets the first question I asked was do the tickets need to be printed and I was advised yes they do need to be printed. I told them I don’t have access to a printer and purposely ordered mobile transfer tickets for that reason. I had already read in several places on the StubHub website that PDF tickets should be printed because all venues will not accept a PDF ticket from your phone. I asked if there was anyway they could provide me with any type of mobile transfer tickets because that is what I ordered and I just wanted what I ordered. I was told no they could not do that. I asked if they could provide a refund so I could go back and order tickets that were mobile transfer and they said no. I was upset because I did not receive what I ordered and they told me it didn’t matter because they were charging the seller and that I had tickets to get in so there was nothing they will do to help me. I reiterated that I had no access to a printer and did not feel secure with the tickets because I also had access to the additional 8 tickets that were sent with my tickets (which means anyone else who bought tickets from this seller has access to my tickets as well). Customer service then said that their sources are saying I can use the PDF tickets on my phone and they don’t have to be printed, I told them about seeing on the StubHub site about PDF tickets should be printed and they said they don’t know what else to tell me and there is nothing they will do, the tickets will work and the only options I have is to either go or sell the tickets. I told them the tickets were for my daughters 14th birthday and I was going to have to drive about 2.5 hours to get to the concert and I’ve very concerned that we will not be able to get in and just wanted secure tickets but they said the tickets will work and I can either go or sell them. I ended up selling the tickets as PDF and uploaded the “fixed tickets” sent to me by StubHub customer service and I ended up taking almost a $50 loss. Also since I won’t receive payment from the tickets until 5-8 days after the concert I can’t afford to purchase new tickets to take my daughter to the event. I can’t believe something so simple turned out so horribly. Just being curious I looked and was able to very easily remove the black markings for the other 8 tickets so anyone who received that file had all 10 tickets that could be printed and used, including my 2 tickets!"
"I had purchased 2 Tina Turner musical tickets through Ticketmaster but was unable to attend due to a sudden death in the family. So I listed the tickets on stubhub.com on 10/7/21 evening, then deleted the listing through the app a few hours later (the listing was created through the website). I doubled checked the listings page to ensure there were no active listings. I thought that was the end of that...wrong. 3 days later, I received an email that the tickets had sold even though there was no active listing. So I called the 'customer no support' number, waited 2 hours to speak to someone about StubHub's technical failure, explained the situation about deleting the list through their app, and inquired if there was seamless integration between the website and app transactions. The support agent said she would mark the support ticket "Urgent" and I would receive an email with their response within 24-48 hours. it is 4 days (96 hours) and still no response. I did call them within 24 hours of the first call, waited for 3 hrs, and had to hang up without a resolution. This company is a complete fraud, scamming sellers and buyers alike, claiming a 'friendly and supportive customer service' line, which is a complete lie. I will never ever use this site again.
If you value your money, time, and health...choose another company that is honest, has morals, and is true to its word. You have been warned.
Btw, the parent companies of Stubhub are eBay, Viagogo, viagogo AG"
"We purchased tickets for a concert back in September of 2019. Due to the pandemic, it was rescheduled till the following year. It has now been rescheduled for another year. We paid almost $900 for these tickets and they will not give me a credit to use for another time as we will no longer be living in the area of the concert so I just wanted a credit. I will NEVER PURCHASE FROM THEM AGAIN. ABSOLUTELY horrible customer service. "
"I have strongly urged that AMEX cease doing business with STUBHUB entirely. This letter and the nearly 3,000 TERRIBLE STUBHUB reviews (Trustpilot.com) will tell the story of a company that not only misuses its agreement policy to prey upon unwitting ticket resellers like myself, but provides absolutely NO customer service support.
On August 13th, I purchased 4 tickets to an event at Madison Square Garden. The tickets were for my wife, myself, and another couple. A week before the event, my wife and I were exposed to Covid-19. According to my doctor, we were to quarantine for a week and not attend the MSG event. I told my friends and they decided that they did not want to go without us. After some digging, I learned that I would not be able to resell the 4 tickets on Ticketmaster. A quick Google search led me to STUBHUB as a viable reseller. I didn’t think much about the boiler plate “agreement” and so, after a bit of trial and error, I figured out how to list 4 tickets for sale at the price I had paid ($332/ticket). I recieved an email from STUBHUB detailing how to transfer tickets if sold and alerting me: “if you change your mind and decide to use the tickets yourself or sell them elsewhere, login to STUBHUB to delete your listing right away. If your tickets sell and you don’t deliver them as promised, you’ll need to let us know by clicking the Report an Issue link on your sales page.”
The tickets did not sell, and after a bit more research, I discovered that I had overpaid by at least $100/ticket. I was able to log in and lower lower my ticket price to $250. By Wednesday, September 8th (4 days before the event), my friends suggested that we lower the price to $200/per ticket. Around 8 PM that evening, I got an email from STUBHUB that 2 tickets had sold. The next morning (September 9th), I was getting a preliminary Covid-19 test with my wife when my friends called to tell me that they had changed their minds and that they wanted to attend the event. They asked me to remove the 2 additional STUBHUB listings and to send them a PDF of their tickets. As I was not at home nor near a computer, I called the STUBHUB customer support contact: ***-***-**** to get help removing the listing. There was a 3-hour hold time and a recording that advised “if this is not a day of event matter, please use the online customer support chat.” The online chat was NON-EXISTENT.
After 2 hours of waiting for customer support, I hung up in frustration. By the time I returned home and was able to log in, STUBHUB emailed me that the two additional tickets had sold. So, not only did I have no way to contact STUBHUB customer service, but I received a link to upload my “sold tickets.” My only option was to alert them (per their email a few days before) that the tickets were no longer available. The situation was infuriating! Due to STUBHUB complete LACK of customer service, I was unable to do anything to resolve this matter.
STUBHUB has received money from the ticket buyer AND egreiously charged me for tickets that I had tried to remove. This is a complete SCAM. I have been a loyal American Express customer for since the 1980s. I have disputed only a few charges in 3 decades and have NEVER experienced such blatant disregard for customer satisfaction. I look forward to their assistance and protection in resolving this matter.
In the meantime, I’m suggesting others join me in pursuing a class-action suit against STUBHUB."
"My event was cancelled, but they say it is “postponed” so they can’t honor refunds. So I just spent $500 on tickets (including $130 in “fees”) only to be forced into two options: going next year or selling next year. I was lied to by customer service the first two times I called, and the third time they unapologetically told me that no refund could be provided. Why pay for all of these fees if they don’t honor refunds? They lost a loyal customer today."
"Bought my son tickets for his 21st birthday for Eric Clapton back in July for a September show in Tampa. Tickets are suppose to be released electronically the day before. Why wait until the day before? Who knows? This leaves no time to correct errors. Anyway, tickets never arrived. Sat on hold with Stub Hub customer service for 1 hour and 47 minutes only to be told that there was nothing that could be done because customer service was not affiliated with Stub Hub. What?
So 3 hours before show time I was told that I would get a credit on my Stub Hub account, not a refund on my credit card, and that I could try to buy tickets for the event, if any were left, or to a future event.
The situation only got worse. Never got the credit, so I had to pay double.
Probably the most inconsiderate and shabbily run company I have ever dealt with. Don't make the same mistake I did when planning an important event."
"Bought tickets in November 2019. Concert is finally happening today. Stubhub sent an email stating the tickets should be in my inbox. They never showed. I spent 2.5hrs on hold to get a refund, so no tickets for the concert. They did nothing to try and force the tickets through. They tried to give me a credit, but I will never use them again."
"I listed my Hamilton tickets for sale, but then cancelled them. Stub hub debited my visa credit card $300, even though they had never transferred any money to my account. I disputed the charges with Visa, and called StubHub. I have cooked an entire meal from scratch while waiting for them to answer the phone. It is now 1 hour and 38 minutes that Ive been on hold. Still no response from a live person. Sh**ty service."
"If there is a problem with your order, there is a hold time of three hours. No way to do business.
I asked for a call back. Never happened.
This company should be investigated by the government and shut down as a rip off."
"Stubhub just doesn’t care any more. On hold for the second time for over 3 hours. They have no other way to resolve issues and they refuse to staff properly to help customers. Sellers and buyers beware, if something goes wrong you will be stuck! You might get lucky and they answer the phone after 3+ hours. Do you really want to take that risk?
Get lthe word out - this company is trouble."
"Stub hub has the worst customer service ever. The tickets I ordered 2 years ago (due to covid rescheduling) haven’t even been mailed to me yet and I have to mail them out to the buyer in 2 days. It takes over 3 hours to talk to anyone there and I’ve had multiple issues with just this 1 concert. I will never be using stub hub again and I suggest you don’t either. "
"Stubhub has absolutely no customer service. I had tickets for the Raiders-Seahawks game in Las Vegas and when I got to the gate my ticket did not work. I tried calling Stubhub customer service to get help with the issue but it is impossible to get a hold of a customer service representative. After over an hour of being on hold while standing out in the 108 degrees weather, I just gave up and bought a ticket from Ticketmaster in order to get into the game, which worked with no issues. Since then I have tried calling Stubhub multiple times to ask for a refund, but the hold times are many hours and I am probably going to just give up as I have better things to do with my time. They wear you out so they can keep your money. I will never be buying or selling tickets on Stubhub again. "
"I sold tickets and have an issue with getting payment direct deposited to my bank account. The only way to get to their customer service is by phone with extremely long wait times. No chat option!! I'll never use StubHub again. I will close my account as soon as the payment is complete and in my account. I'm sure there are other ticket services with better customer service. STUBHUB ****!!!"
