"Booking an international flight and used a referral promo code. As I clicked booked, it did to book my flight and it brought me back to the home page where I saw session expired.
When I went to rebook, it told me I already redeemed my promo code, the I have not. Super frustrating and seems like a complete SCAM.
If the system is wise enough to know nothing was booked, then the algorithm should know as well. Sketchy business, they expired it on purpose and do not let you use your promo code when you have not actually redeemed it."

"So here's the thing, we all are looking for the best deals on flights. With that being said, the prices are sometimes better than other websites but that's because it comes with some fine fine fine major print. There's a ton of rules and stipulations for the flights that aren't listed or easily accessible. In my specific case, I got a flight to Peru and with the economy base ticket purchased, there's no option to change or cancel the flight. That part wasn't clearly stated and ultimately not a big deal for me; none the less, after calling Student Universe costumer service to clarify what baggage / carry on rules there are, it was only after you've made the booking that more information is presented to you about the logistics of the trip. Ultimately, as a consumer, it felt like you get the full details after you have bit the bullet and bought the ticket. It would be totally more honest and straight forward if they would list the important info up front, like what exactly is allowed and not allowed as a carry on or that you can only have a personal item, because of the ticket level, or what not. Ultimately, you paying for the bare minimum explains why the tickets are cheaper than other sites. You end up paying the difference in "savings" for stuff like your first checkinh in your main bag, etc. So yeah, that's just my honest heads up with the purchasing process. It just felt like there was a little dishonesty and tactical approach to getting people to buy."

Once you hit the "select" button, and if it's basic economy class, you will see the restrictions compared to economy class (yea we know it's less flexible but also it's cheaper).
