"I purchased my items on 11/28 and they shipped on 12/21. Now I will not have my items in time for Christmas. They billed my credit card two days after the purchase. I emailed the company 6 times about my items and received no response. They removed their phone numbers from all correspondence and their website. They refuse to provide me any explanation or compensation. This company appears to be barely hanging on and cannot be trusted to fulfill its orders as their website states (it says it will contact the customer if there are delays). Spend your money elsewhere or you too will fall victim to their scams."
"took them over a week to ship the order, no communication from them regarding the delay. They must have been waiting to consolidate everything in one box but given the out ragous amount of shipping charges they put on the order, consolidating to cut down on shipping costs should not really be a priority.
No phone number to call anyone about anything.. POOR POOR POOR BOO BOOO!!!! that is crap
takes them a full day to reply to email so dont expect any fast resolutions to problems or answers to questions.
the place is great if you just want to buy something cheap, make up for the cheap sale price in enourmously inflated shipping costs, sit back and wait weeks for it to arrive. then is this your store.
me personally, the lack of desire to hear from customers via phone is enough for me to never shop here again.. regardless of the savings i might get.
I say, reward those with great service with repeat business. i wish it was a better review people.. i like to browse thier items but its just insulting to see the shipping costs and poor support policy.. "
"Placed order on 10/22. It's now 11/8 and three e-mail later. There's no phone number, no online support form. And no one ever replied. This used to be a 3-Star company (overcharged for shipping, shipped goods out late), but now they have really gone down hill.
There's zero support if you have a problem! And there's way too many problems!"

"Surplus Computers did a very poor job on this order. I ordered 8/1, did not see their website updated to reflect the processing of the order until after 8/20. They pretty much ignored any communication from me. Now on 8/24, after I have already ordered the same items from another company, I receive an email telling me that they have shipped PART of my order. Just another internet order hassle!"
"On 07/25, I placed my order as their site listed the mobos in stock. I asked for status on 08/05, rec'd status of the devices being backed ordered and if I'd like the order cancelled. I cancelled the order and asked the funds to be returned(they charged my CC when the order was placed). Today(08/21) I received a confirmation from UPS that the mobos had been shipped.
I've sent them another email to cancel the order and return my funds. I'll update this review as things progress."
"STAY AWAY!! Unbelievably bad customer support! I ordered a Jawbone 2 headset on June 24. Received it on June 30th and it was DOA. I immediately requested an RMA,( by the way, the ONLY way to contact this company is by email. They have no listed phone number.)it took 6 days to have them issue an RMA. I had to pay for shipping back. When I tried to check on my return, They denied having received it. When I provided proof of signature, they then said it was in "Testing". It's been in testing now for 3 weeks and I can't get a hold of anyone to find out when they will ship me my headset. STAY AWAY!! The company is a rip off."
"Charged $18 shipping for an order that was under one pound and only about 30 cubic inches in size; this could be shipped by USPS Priority Mail (air) for $5. Then (same order) charged extra for insurance (not optional) on an order under $100 shipped by UPS (GROUND) (UPS provides insurance on the first $100 at no cost). Everything else not withstanding, this is a rip-off combination of shipping practices. UPDATE: Two of four disk drives ordered are defective. But, they have ageed to issue an RMA and give a full credit for the defective items with no restocking fee (normally 20%) and no "testing" fee ($25/item; more than the cost of the item). Stay tuned, we will see how this goes.

"I have ordered from Surplus Computers in the past a few times, and was very satisfied, however this time I wasn't too happy. I had placed an order on the 20th of February for a IBM Intellistation tower that they had. I was very excited to get it for the price listed, however it took them 4 days after I ordered before they even sent it out. I waited and waited and finally on the 3rd of March, it showed up at my front door. Packages from the before only took a few days. I proceeded to open the box to find a IBM tower, included with scratches, missing paint, and incorrect keys. Needless to say I wasn't too happy to find a beat up computer in the box. However, the computer works flawlessly, I just really wish that they would have listed in the ad that the computers may be beat up including scratches and paint missing, as well as it NOT being a VGA port, but a special port that a dual DVI adapter plugged into."
"My order took 6 days to leave the store and I received it exactly a week after placing. The store is less than a hundred miles away, and I could have driven over in 2 hours. They also charged me $9.99 for an item that they advertised for $8.99 in their weekly flyer. When I complained they said the higher price was correct!!! Read the fine print on DOA items; you could be charged restock or testing fees."
