"My last order(above)was fine and arrived in about a week. My comments have to do with my first order, #172174 of July 27, 2004:

When the package arrived, I counted the items and all seemed to be in order. However, when I removed the "GE TV to PC Converter/TV Tuner (HO27699)CES10344 ($39.99)" from the box to install it, I found that three of the buttons (PC/TV, Source, and Channel+) were broken (pushed down into the case), making the unit unoperable; the case was also a little scratched (no big deal). Bottom line, the unit was used, broken, and resold without being checked. Since it was nearly two weeks when I discovered this, and the return policy stated was one week for defective items, I just decided I wouldn't buy anything more here that costs more than a couple dollars. I don't know of any other seller that has such an extremely limited return policy for defective merchandise."

UPDATE: I have ordered at least six times since my original comment here. To date I have had only one item backorder out of a total of nearly 20 items ordered. I contacted the seller after a week and requested an update, which I promptly received. I waited a further week before requesting a new update, again receiving a prompt reply followed by the ship notification a few hours later. All items have been received in excellent condition; well packed and cushioned, with all items in the condition advertised or better. Shipping costs are a bit high, but if you add a few "free shipping special" items to your order, the cost can get very reasonable. Surplus Computers has become the first site I check when searching for parts. The prices aren't always the best, but the service is! A+++"

"Had/have a problem. Ordered 4 items on August 13,2004. Waited until September 2,2004 to email a query on why non-receipt.
Good part= in 24 hours got an email reply!!!!
bad part= email stated that order was waiting for "backorder" of two(2) of the four(4)items.

1. I should have been notified of the back order status.
2. 2 of 4 items back order is a very high percent.
3. I was not told...do not now know how long I am to wait!

note; computer parts are to fix a machine..long waits are poor!!!"
