"Bought a CF card at a great price! 6 hour later I realized I had entered my old PO Box as the shipping address. I called and got a machine...left a message asking them to correct this problem. I emailed two different emails listed for the company and they did not change the problem. Yes it was my fault but I caught it in plenty of time to correct it I thought! Well they did not correct the problem before it went out BUT I got it with no delay somehow. UPDATE! I got the card and it's defective! Lets see how they handle this.
UPDATE: They want me to fill out a form to REQUEST a RMA and then send the CF card back and wait up to SEVEN days for them to look it over and test it....only then will they send me a new one out. Futhermore they want me to fax in the RMA. This is a responce I got when I told them I was going to file a dispute with my bank on my Visa credit card. :
The reason we can sell
our products so cheap is because they are not tested before
shipment, being we are a Retail store and not the manufacturer,
we rely on the manufacturer to test them before we get them.
The only way you will receive an RMA number is to fill out the
form and getting it back to us. It clearly states it on our web site
under customer services and the terms and conditions prior to
making your purchase. Sorry for the inconvenience.
Well my bank and credit card have customer protection policy and all I have to do is spend 15 minutes of my time at the bank filing a dispute and the money magically appreas back in my account and I ship the untested CRAP back to them. Put that in your pipe and smoke it Surplus Computers! "
"The first order I placed with Surplus Computers arrived a week later as advertised. I did get an order confirmation but never received a shipping confirmation or tracking number.
The second order is the subject of this rating. I placed the order on August 12, 2004 and as of today (8/30/04), I have still not received the items even though they claim they were shipped. I did receive an order confirmation and after a number of phone calls and emails I was able to acquire a USPS tracking number. I just checked the USPS website again it is still indicating that the shipper (Surplus Computers) notified them electronically that they were going to send a package, but they still have not received it.
Since I try to be fair and give people second chances, I have made a third order from Surplus Computers. Again I received an order confirm, but not a shipping confirm. I sent them an email about an hour ago and just recived a shipping confirmation... the same exact number they gave me for the August 12th order! I have politely informed them of this and asked them to give me the correct tracking number. If they are able to correct themselves I might do business with this company again. If they are not able to get this straightened out, I will take all future business elsewhere.
There is a lot more to this story. I have chosen to leave it out for space/time considerations but it deals with the fact they lied to me and told me it had shipped when, in fact, it had not shipped at that point. I contacted them to cancel the order and was told it had already shipped.
Good news. I just got an email from ****@****. The email states that the item had become backordered, which isn't good news, but he did apologize for the mistake and assured me it would be shipped today or tomorrow. Let's hope this is true."
"$5.99 LED flashlight died after 1 flicker. Hardly worth their RMA process which requires you fax them RMA form then ship item back. Easier to toss it in the trash & delete them from bookmarks. If their prices seem to be "too good to be true" it's because they're selling junk."

"I ordered a Dell CD-RW for a laptop. I never received shipping confirmation, and got the run-around when I inquired about it. At first, they told me "somehow [there] clerks in shipping forgot to put delivery confirmation." They also had no clue how they shipped the item.
A few weeks and a dozen emails later, they claimed the item was delivered. This was not the case so I asked for a refund. They were supposed to contact the shipper, and to contact me the following day. That was a week ago and still nothing.
Stay away from this company by all means. They have a horrible rep and it is for good reason. Don't be baited by the deals. There not worth it. "
