"Got my mom a phone off of swappa years ago and it was great. Got a phone for myself last week, swappa is still amazing. Love this phone."
"Buyer claimed he got empty package. He uploaded pictures that package is sealed but claimed to look like tampered. I paid for 2+ lbs shipping wt. packaging material is 8oz. This means it is not empty. I end up loosing $200. Buyer history has nothing while I have all 5 stars on my review. Just come to think after all the fees and red tapes getting license for my business, do you think it is worth destroying it by scamming people for $200? "
"First time Very impressed. Thx swappa"
"I've sold my devices on Swappa several times and it is just easy. You know what you are going to receive before your listing is placed! Once you ship your device that sold, enjoy your payday! "
"I purchased a phone here which was advertised as near mint, but when I received it I noticed a pretty big scratch on the front display. When asked about this, the seller replied that it was advertised as being in "very good" condition. I rechecked the ad and sure enough there was both "very good" in the description, but also "near mint" in the title. Pictures of the phone looked great, but here's what the seller didn't tell everyone - all phone pictures are "stock" photos, even if they're pictured differently for every phone the seller is selling!!
Feeling duped and thinking I would rather not waste time sending the phone back, I opted to leave negative feedback, to which upon review by the illustrious moderators, was deemed unfair. Nice. Your opinions don't count on swappa and will be censored, just FYI."
"A seller was required per Swappa return policy to refund return shipping and insurance cost of the unusable MacBook Pro he sold to me. Here’s the policy:
Swappa’s policy on the cost of return shipping:
“If an item is received in an unusable state and must be returned, the seller is responsible for reimbursing return shipping costs to the buyer to remain in good standing. For example, the device is blocked and/or cannot be activated.”
When he refused and disappeared, Swappa let him get away with it. Furthermore, they also refused to refund me.
So the seller is let off the hook simply because he didn’t respond. He clearly sold me a laptop that didn’t meet Swappa requirements, and now I have to pay for his mistake."
"I found this ver smooth and easy to use. Thsnks"
"Seriously, the process of buying a new phone (or whatever) couldn’t possibly be easier. The company’s customer service and willingness to use PayPal allow me to shop with confidence as well."
"Worked great, will use again!"
"I tried twice times to list a phone on Swappa. Not my first time there either. First time, an idiot employee re-categorized my phone as one that it was not. I couldn't edit the listing so I deleted it and started over. Next, another idiot employee criticized my photos saying their little "ID" was improperly positioned, when (a) I had done it that way before and (b) it was fine according to their own rules. Next, another idiot employee CANCELED the listing after I uploaded NEW photos saying there was a screen defect (which there was not). In each case, I had NO chance to respond directly to these complaints. So I sent them a heated email taking issue with each of the above-mentioned problems. In response, they simply said, "you have violated our rules so you cannot use Swappa," and they disabled my account. They would not respond to my email. I have attempted to contact their CEO, Ben Edwards, several times and he won't answer either."
"I have used them 2 times. On both occasions I received a defective phone that was advertised in good condition and in all working order. This last time I requested that a comparable phone be sent out to me before I return the one I have with the busted camera. This way I wouldn’t have to go without a phone throughout the process. The seller (savegadget) said no. I wish they would increase their quality testing on these phones, or at the very least, take care of the customer when they send out junk. Ended up giving back market.com my business. Won’t be back."
"Had an issue with a seller selling me a defective phone. Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act is a real law since 1975 and they will not acknowledge it. I have been denied refund and I have been kicked off the site for complaining. They are making up policies that written no where !!!
**** USE AT YOUR OWN RISK *** NO REFUNDS FOR DEFECTIVE ITEMS, SWAPPA WILL NOT HELP IF SELLER DOES NOT COOPERATE."
"By far the best experience I've had buying used electronics. "
"I purchased a Samsung Galaxy Phone that was listed as good but it seemed to be in mint condition. Seller had good communication, fast shipping and a very smooth transaction. I’m buying all my devices on Swappa now, and from this seller, most definitely."
"I use Swappa on a weekly basis for my business and have never had a bad experience. Very useful service with the best prices and easy to find what you want. Better process than eBay and lets you use PayPal pay in 4 as well as other pay in 4 methods."
