"Bought an iPhone advertised as like new - about 4 months in the screen literally fell off - I paid $280 for a new screen - Apple authorized repair said "did you know this was an inferior aftermarket screen replacement?" and they also said it was not even done well. Seller and Swappa did nothing. More recently I went to list the phone for sale online and when I went to check battery health I got a notice that the battery had also been replaced unauthorized! I will take a beating selling it with an honest listing. Contacted Swappa - again they say they will do nothing.

On the review I posted on a different site they said I was abusive to them in my emails about the case and also that I took too long to contact them about the second defect/issue- see my update to that review below.

Update: I just reviewed my emails to Swappa and I was definitely not out of line in how I addressed them. In my estimation their reply is just a rather lame attempt to make me sound unreasonable. And yes, while it was just over a year when I contacted them about the battery having also been replaced with a non-Apple part. Until I myself was preparing to list the phone for sale I had no reason to check the battery health screen. When I did is when I got the warning about the battery. When I contacted their seller about the screen issue he had said that he carefully tests every phone and didn't believe the Apple repair people (really?!). There is no way he should have missed the battery if he runs careful tests. At best the seller is careless and at worst dishonest. So, long story short I was sold as "like new" a phone with two replaced, substandard parts and Swappa has refused to step in. "

"I sold an iphone on Swappa's website and shipped the phone to the buyer by UPS. UPS cancelled my shipment and told me they deemed this buyer and his address a scammer with a history of fraud with UPS. UPS refused to deliver the phone to this buyer or his address (which turned out to be a hotel lobby), and shipped the phone back to the UPS store I shipped it from. When I received the phone back, I refunded the buyer. Within a few minutes of refunding the buyer, Swappa cancelled my account. I asked swappa to call UPS to verify that they refuse to ship to this buyer, but swappa told me they will not call UPS. Swappa apparently assumes I was trying to scam the scammer and cancelled my account. I was injured by the scammer and UPS refusing to deliver to him, and then double injured by swappa cancelling my account and basically calling me the scammer. I tried to get an explanation and see if I can redeem my name, but swappa will not respond to me. This is unacceptable! This is horrible treatment of a customer! I've been a customer for 3 years and with several excellent transactions. Why would a company choose to do this? Why does this company not vet it's buyers better? They should have a relationship with the large shipping companies and work to identify these scammers."

"I've spent $3000+ on this website I bought a cheap xbox for like $150 and a bunch of MacBooks yet swappa deleted my account and claims that I charged back on the xbox which did not happen I told them I would provide my bank statements showing I had paid in full for the xbox.They stopped responding. I don't know where they got their information from but it wasn't accurate and its odd they can run a business that way. Not sure why I would charge back a $150 xbox when I spend thousands of dollars on high end computers it makes absolutely 0 sense."
