"I must say this was an ideal online purchasing experience. I have purchased many different things online, but nothing as large as a TV. Like alot of others i was hesitant buying a TV online, but after doing quite a bit of researching, TV authority stood out as a safe bet. I was not dissapointed. I bought a samsung HL-R6168 on a sunday, by friday the tv was delivered and working in my living room. "Found the customer service to be lacking. Ordered TV and acc. on 2/2 and was told it would arrive between 2/8-2/10. On 2/10 the accessories arrived but no TV. Called to find out what was going on. Waited on hold for 45 minutes until it put me to a machine. Also waited online for 40 minutes for their "chat now!" option. No one came on. Have left 2 messages and sent 3 emails asking what was the cause of the delay in shipping with no response. In the mean time the shipping company called to schedule delivery (later the next week). I asked them when the TV was shipped. They showed that they weren't even contacted to pick the TV up from TVA until 2/10. I called TV Authority YET AGAIN (after still no response from the emails and messages) and finally got ahold of a customer service representative who's only answer to my question on why it took so long to ship was "Well, sometimes the shipping companies don't pick up the items for a few days and that causes it to be late." I won't be doing business there again. Not because the TV shipped out late... but because the customer service was 1) Hard to get ahold of 2) Not responsive to customers [3 emails & 2 messages unanswered] and finally 3) Tried to pass off blame on the shipping company when I already knew that TVA didn't even send the order to ship for over a week after my order. Note: The TV was, and has always since then been listed as an in-stock item."
"I had the privilege of working with Aaron Snell at TV Authority. I searched over the internet and found that for the price and shipping expense I would be able to order and receive my new Samsung HL-R6167w at the lowest price and quickest shipping. When I called I was able to ask the few remaining questions I had to ease my reservations of purchasing a 2 grand plus TV set. Aaron new what he was talking about and provided knowledgeable answers not the incessant fluff that seems typical of the local electronic chain stores.

"I recently purchased my first plasma from TVauthority. The sales rep was knowledgeable and not pushy. She knew her product. The TV did not arrive on the date promised, but TVA (not their fault) got involve and had it at my home one day past the scheduled delivery.
I also had problems getting my extended warranty registered. Again TVA went above and beyond to see that my extended warranty was properly registered. This took too much of my time to resolve even though I may have been the cause of this problem."
"I had a great experience buying my new plasma TV with TVAuthority. Initially, I was a little hesitant with making a large purchase ($3k+) online with a vendor I had never used before. However, they had the best prices I could find anywhere, online or in stores. So after doing a bit of research and reading about other people's very positive experiences, I decided to give it a shot. And I have to say I couldn't have made a better decision. My sales agent, Cambryn, was very helpful and polite, taking the time to answer all my questions without being pushy in the slightest (can't say the same for some of the salespeople I've talked to). "I ordered a Samsung HP4272 42" Plasma TV from TV Authority in December. I priced the unit out here in Miami, Florida, and the only merchant who carried it was Sound Advice. They wanted $3199.99 + 7% tax + $150 delivery and installation. TV Authority had it for $2599.00 + shipping, and no sales tax. I saved close to $1000! The unit arrived as advertised within 7 days.
Unfortunately, the TV was defective. I called TV Authority and they quickly sent me a new TV via air express, rather than the 7 day ground shipping which I originally used. The new TV was here in two days and works like a charm!
The customer service I experienced was top notch. The phone representative, Aaron answered all of my questions and concerns, promptly returned my phone calls, and didn't try to "oversell" me. He recommended a compatible HD DVD player which I also purchased, at a price well below those found at my local retailers. I highly recommend doing business with this company.
