"DO YOU WANT A GOOD LAUGH...READ THIS REVIEW
This review is an attempt to protect myself in case my credit card is billed from this company. I canceled my order on Thursday, 3/30/06 after seeing no change in the processing of the item. I ordered a Robo Mower for $1395.00 plus $3.95 for faster expediting on 3/19/06, the web site still states that it is in stock and "usually ships the same day".

I kept in mind when I ordered the mower that it was Sunday, being so I did not expect anything to happen until Monday or Tuesday. I decided to call around Thursday, just to speak to a human, because there was no was no change on the processing status. I actually did reach a person, and was told most item take 1-2 weeks to arrive. I hung up, and called right back. I reached the same person, I asked if the 1-2 weeks was processing time or the time I should expect the mower. He told me "it means it will be at your door in 1-2 weeks". I then asked to have the expediting charge removed because it would not be pulled any faster for shipping. He agreed, that night the charge was no longer on the update screen. According to what I was told I expected the mower on 3/31/06, at the latest.

I decided to cancel the order on 3/30/06 after the status had not changed. I felt fairly certain that the mower that weighs aprox. 78 lbs would not be shipped next day air to meet the deadline, it wasn't. I called many times to all of the numbers given. One of the lines hung up after 2 rings. The others put you on eternal hold. Finally, after many attempts, I was able to leave a message. At that point I had already emailed the company to cancel my order, so there was no confusion why I was canceling it I gave a similar time line as in this review.

I had read this review site after ordering the product, and before my first call to the company. I gave them the benefit of the doubt that my mower would be sent, even after I read many bad reviews. I noticed that most of the bad reviews were responded to by TV Market Place defending itself. I would not use or recommend use of TV Market Place to anyone. The prices look good, but this really is to good to be true. I have since purchased the same item from a reputable company, it cost me $200 more, plus shipping and taxes. I regret trying to use this company to save a dollar. It has cost time, and money. As of this point, I have not received an email or call to confirm cancellation, but I read on one the reviews on this site that it can take up to 48hrs or longer during peak season. I won't hold my breath. I think I have been more than fair, but I would be interested to see if and how they respond to my review.

Update 4/8/06: This is too funny...my order is still being processed. I used Sears to get my mower this time, it is scheduled for delivery on Tuesday. When I ordered it they told me it would be 9-14 days, Tuesday is 12. At least Sears kept their word. Can't say the same for TV Market Place.

Update 4/13/06: My order still shows as "being processed". My mower arrived from Sears on Tuesday as promised. I have yet to hear from TV Market Place. Oh well, I am very happy with my new mower.

Update 5/19/06: My order still shows as "being processed". The product price now shows as $2995.00, more than double what it was listed at when I placed my order. I don't think this company would have EVER sent my mower. No response from TV Marketplace to even verify the order was cancelled.

Update 8/27/06: Just for kicks I decided to see if my mower was still "In Processing". I about fell out of my chair laughing, it is. It has been 5 months, and I still haven't heard from this company. They have not said one word, not one email, they didn't even respond to this site as I had seen them do in the past. What a pathetic company. Need a good laugh, order from this company and then expect results. What a joke!

"I have received three emails, first one informing me item is on back order, second and third telling me my order is being sent out (3/20 & 3/23), at this time I was told I would be sent the tracking number shortly, here it is 10 days after the product was supposed to be shipped and still have not received a tracking number nor my Ab Chair 2 Delux. I have tried to call the company several times and after two rings the call gets dropped. When I finally did speak to someone (Paul) today after waiting on hold for nearly 30 minutes long distance, he told me I would not be charged until the order has been shipped. I informed him I was already charge over a week ago. I asked to speak with a manager and he told me Chris is the manager and will not be available for the next three hours but he will call me by 3:00PM, it is now 6:00PM and suprisingly still have not heard from Chris. I do not think I will ever see my Ab Chair Delux and am planning on contancting the Police Department if I dont get my order by next week to inform them my $119.90 was stolen from this company. Stay away from TVMARKETPLACE!!! You are better off by spending a few extra dollars and actually getting what you paid for."

"I purchased a product on 2/22/06 and have yet to receive it. I have sent over 20 e-mails and they have only responded three times. Their phone usually hangs up on you (and I've tried all of the phone numbers). They stated I will be receiving my order this week, however, it hasn't been shipped. I received an e-mail stating that it is in the process of being shipped and that I should be receiving a tracking number within an hour or so . . . it's been a week. I will never do bussiness with them again and, in fact, I'm about to file with the BBB if I don't receive my product within their timeline."

"Placed an order on 3/10/2006. When I discovered that shipping was per item and not per order I was disgusted. The shipping was $5.95 for each $8.95 Shake-a-light flashlight. That is ourageous. I immediately called. No answer. I sent an email canceling the order. Called again and sat on the phone for 45 minutes and gave up. Sent several emails to cancel. Sat on live chat for 1 hour (twice) with no response. Now they send me an email, on 3/15/2006, that order has shipped. Now I have to go through the hassle of refusing the package and disputing the charge with my credit card company. STAY AWAY FROM TVMARKETPLACE!!!!!

UPDATE 04/17/2006: I have filed with the BBB and provided all Emails and phone records to backup everything I have stated regarding tvmarketplace including several attempts to contact them. I showed over 10 phone calls which went unanswered two of which were over 45 minutes each. There intial response was, surpise surprise, no record of any Emails and some excuse about shipping time which had absolutely nothing to do with my BBB complaint. They were to make a final response to my rebuttal by April 14, 2006. Today is April 17, 2006 and as I could have predicted they ignored the April 14th deadline.

04/18/2006. I contacted the Wisconsin BBB by phone for a status update. It seems that if a business ignores the BBB and the deadline the case becomes "Oh well cased closed". They basically get off scott free and I am out my money. No product no refund. Next stop the Wisconsin State Attorney General's consumer protection office.

4/19/2006. Case filed with Wisconsin State Attorney General Consumer Protection.

4/21/2006 Credit card dispute of charge filed with Mastercard. New York State Attorney General contacted.

5/11/2006 tvmarketplace.net wants to know why I disputed their charge with my credit card company. See what I mean. One and a half months of going round for round with them and they still don't get it.

6/23/2006 UNBELIEVABLE!!! tvmarketplace has resubmitted the charge to my credit card. This has got to be the worst company going. They are completely incompetent. I now have to resubmit all my documentation again.
P.S. Still no answer at their phone number.

"I recently purchased memory foam pillows from tv market place and after ordering I realized I put in the wrong amount of pillows that I wanted. I immediately e-mailed customer support that I wanted to change my order and have never received any return e-mail and on the invoice it says that it is still processing. I have sent a ton of e-mails and I have tried calling every single number listed on the customer service page and I either get a mail box full message or am on hold for at least 20 minutes with nobody ever taking my call. I really do want to purchase the pillows, but am getting tired of the run around."

"Ordered the Flowbee from them on 2/9/06 (3 weeks ago), and have not heard or recieved anything from them, despite having sent an email 1 week ago. Called their phone number 4 times in last 10 days, but noone ever picks up, and a voice message states that the message box is full and cannot recieve any further messages. Just checked order status online: Product has not been shipped so far.
