"I placed my order online on Friday the 20th and it was delivered the following Wednesday the 25th! I don't even know how that's possible since it was a 46 LBS package and was shipped via UPS ground out of Florida!
I'm totally impressed with their service, speed and most importantly their price.
I paid $237.99 for a Mustang MP-ARMXXL to wall mount my new Pioneer PRO151FD 60” Plasma TV. This part is manufactured by Omnimount but has a Mustang logo on it. According to Omnimount, it is the same mount as the Omnimount 63HDARMUA which is the commercial grade version of the Omnimount UCL-X all of which retail else where between $350 to $849 so I figured they must make up some of the difference in shipping but I was surprised to find out their shipping was only $17.85
The package weights 46 LBS and on my own UPS account, this would have cost me $42 to get it here from Florida!
I don’t know how they did it but I’ll be back to buy more stuff from them soon and I would rate them 12 out of 10.

"This was my first order through TheNerds.net. There were definitely some positives and negatives. I placed my order on the night of March 18, 2009. I was only offered two options for shipping: $9.99 FedEx Ground or some kind of quicker delivery that was around $29.99. I thought that maybe it was website glitch, because I live 10 minutes from New York City, and there are usually a ton of delivery options when I order things online. I wasn't about to pay around $30 for delivery of a hard drive that cost only a little over $100, so I chose the $9.99 option. Little did I know that they were shipping it from City of Industry, California! I finally got a tracking number for my order two days after placing it, so I went onto FedEx.com where it said that the package left CA and the estimated date of delivery was March 25. That was the last FedEx update on my package for days! The next update didn't come until March 24 when it arrived at the FedEx location on the east coast. They finally delivered the package in the early evening on March 25. I had to leave on a trip on March 26 and needed that hard drive in my laptop before then. It would've been nice if I was given more shipping options to begin with and shipping options that were between the $9.99 one and the $29.99 one. It would've also have been nice if I had a definite delivery date and not an estimated one, especially when there was no progress update between the time it left the west coast to the time it got to the east coast. It took a week to get my hard drive from the day I ordered it.

The delivery process wasn't exactly perfect or convenient, but I would still recommend ordering from TheNerds.net IF your delivery isn't urgent. The big positive is that they had the best price on the drive I wanted, and it was a considerable price difference from most other places. TheNerds also had a nice supply of the drives in stock when more well-known retailers like Amazon were out or never got the drive in stock, being that it was a fairly new model.

"I ordered an AOpen MP45-BDR MINI barebone unit. The price is very good and shipment is quite prompt. The unit arrive in very good shape and has no problem at all. I am not sure about their customer service because I didn't use it. Overall, I am very satisfied."

"This company still seems to be getting their business in order. I almost did not receive my package because of a failure of communication on TheNerds' part. They gave me a bogus tracking number according to FedEx, the shipper they told me they used. Turns out, they used Saia instead and just misled me. When Saia contacted me, they could tell me nothing about what they were delivering or from who other than "computer parts" from "Ingram Micro", for which I assured them they were mistaken. It was only because I agreed to meet the driver and visually inspect the package before accepting it that I found out it was my Nerds order (a 50lb box containing component shelves). I will have to take a long hard look at this company's development before I consider buying from them again."

"Shipping time was excellent. Price was excellent. Only problem was the top of the cabinet was damaged on 2 corners, one of which has pieces coming off in layers, and it's scratched across the top. There were other various corners on the cabinet that were obviously damaged and repaired (glued back together) by the manufacturer. It would be 100% worth the money if it had been handled better by the manufacturer. Not sure how to go about getting a replacement part without sending the entire 125 lb. piece back."

"This is the 2nd Xerox color laser printer I have ordered from TheNerds in 2 months. They had the lowest price online.

Understand that these printers are HUGE at 77lbs each & the boxes they ship in are HUGE. TheNerds charged shipping of $17 which was very reasonable & although other merchants offered “free” shipping the overall cost was higher.

Both printers arrived in excellent condition & as advertised.

Needs improvement
- The number of items shown in-stock does not appear to be dynamic.
- The return policy on the printers sucked. Absolutely no returns to be exact. I knew this going in & made certain I opened the box & checked them out before signing the UPS delivery confirmation.

Summary
I’ve ordered from TheNerds now 4 times. Each time has been a good experience. I noticed some reviews here that are less than flattering, in my case they earned my future business.

"Working with The Nerds was an amazingly enjoyable experience. I am fairly high maintenance in regards to customer service expectations. They did not let me down. They emailed me immediately upon an issue with a shipping address... and they kept me abreast of the situation in real time. I was hesitant to order a camcorder online, but this experience was great. " I ordered a PLP V400, received A PLP-V2X2, I required a V3X3; I thought I would receive a universal adapter, based upon the picture. This was my mistake, I was willing to pay for any restocking fees. I first contacted Peerless, because the "request an RMA" link in "My Account" on theNerds website led me to:

Product exchanges and technical support are provided exclusively by PEERLESS INDUSTRIES, INC. Please contact PEERLESS INDUSTRIES, INC directly to assist you with repairs or returns. If the product arrives damaged, please refuse delivery and contact TheNerds.net immediately to arrange a replacement. PEERLESS INDUSTRIES, INC Technical Support Center ***-***-****"

I contacted Peerless, whose customer service representative told me to call the distributor, Stampede Presentation Products (SPP). SPP apologized for the run-around, but assured me they process returns for theNerds. Immediately following this, I attempted to call theNerds, apparently after business hours. There was a message about the hours of operation, but no time zone. I waited and left a message asking to please contact me on the number at which I am most often available.

I called again the next day, during early afternoon hours. I followed the touch-tone instuctions to wait for a customer service representative, waited ~20 min, and decided to leave a message, including the order number, once again asking to contact me. At this point I had become frustrated, so I decided to call again, just to check if lines were still busy. Not suprisingly, they were still busy. I left a message, no longer polite, asking to call me. I repeated this process. Having decided I was not going to get any action this way, I decided to resort to online reviews to vent my frustration.

After this, I decided to contact Peerless once again. Immediately asking to speak with the customer service representative's manager, I explained the situation, and explained that I was a repeat Peerless product customer, and that I did not want to boycott Peerless as well as theNerds (of which I am a first time client). The customer service manager offered the part I required at a discount price; an offer which I accepted. So, as far as I was concerned, the problem was resolved at that point. I decided I could sell the other adapter I do not need on eBay.

When I checked my email again, theNerds had sent me a response, including an RMA number, offering to correct the situation in a more than satisfactory manner. They explained that there must have been a problem with the phone system, as the expected wait time is ~3 min. This was in response to one particular online review they had read. So, in the end, theNerds has made a good effort to correct this disturbing situation, but only after a lot of undue stress.
