"Initially, there was a problem with the pair of phones I'd ordered. They've since taken steps to fix the problem. Only problem at this point, one of the phones is defective and will be returned for replacement. The trackball does not roll to the left at all. It also contained the owner information of "Keli" when first turned on and was not a brand new phone as advertised. The other phone is functioning perfectly and will not be returned.

"I purchased a Verizon Wireless Motorola Q phone on June 24th and immediately got an e-mail stating I could track my purchase through a link on their website. I didn't receive a "tracking" number until a week and a half later. I then told ThriftyComputer that I could not track it and then they claimed that number they sent me as the "tracking" number was in fact not a "tracking" number. Then to make things worse, I eventually received the phone on July 6, 2 weeks after I ordered it. They kept telling me they had problems with the shipping department, then the sales department, then their computer systems were down, then their shipping company in New York was running behind....blah, blah, blah, blah.
The phone arrived in a white see through package with no manual and no word on the manufacturers 1-year warranty as Alan M. had told me in previous chat sessions. I guess now I have no proof for a warranty. While this company has cheap phones, their customer service and shipping is terrible. They charged me $8.00 for 2-3 day shipping when it cost them $4.95 to ship it with it arriving in 2 weeks. I would have paid for cheaper shipping if I knew it would have taken this long.
Also, the phone door on the back of my Motorola Q does not fit right, but I am not going to complain about it because I know if I try to return it I might as well wait until August to get that problem fixed.
I take my 3 stars back and give them a 1.
P.S. To the guy that shipped his phones back and they claim they never got them, my phones were shipped from a company in New York so you may have sent it to the wrong address. Just a thought.

Shipping and handle is super-great deal as it take 7 days just charge for $8(Average $1+ per days). If you look for store that charge you way beyond legal hourly rate, this definitely a good one. I ordered an LG new cell phone for my sons Birthday and it was in stock and was told 2 day shipping, I recieved it in 10 days only to find out everything was in spanish even the phone.6 weeks later the phone becomes very hot and stops working. I emailed them about it and I recieved an email stating their warrenty was for only 30 days and an I'm sorry. I am very unhappy with the customer service and the lack of delivery of my product. I purchased 2 keyboards and checked status a week later, I received a response that I should have the product in a few days and now it is another week later and no product or update. I would beware of this company, I have opened up a dispute with PayPal already.

You should really read the many negative reviews. This company seems to offer an excuse for everything. Right on their website it specifically says: "All items are in stock and ready to ship". If you read the reviews and the sellers comments you'll quickly learn that this is not the truth and it is false advertising.

I received an e-mail from a person claiming to be the owner of the company telling me the product has been delivered.
This was the case, it arrived the day after I posted the review and A FULL WEEK LATER THAN CUSTOMER SERVICE PROMISED.
The product was not received in like-new condition AND it was missing parts.
Update 6/30
After e-mails with the owner they have resolved my issue to my satisfaction.

"This is the most horrible seller I have seen. I ordered for 2 blackberry phones and they sent me only one. Intially they insisted that they had sent 2. The package is small enough to carry only one phone. After complaint with paypal they fooled me and sent a electronic notification to usps (to expect your package for mailing). Since the last week they had not sent any item for delivery to the shipper. Looks like this is one online seller who is fooling customers like this. Please do not buy anything from them.
It is 16th day since the order. Not received the second item item. I am calling them regularly everyday. They do not pick up the phone. When they pickup they always promise to send the item next day. I have not received anything. Neither they have despatched anything with the earlier usps tracking number. IS THRIFTYCOMPUTER (THIEF COMPUTER) LISTENING ??? PLEASE CAN YOU SEND THE ITEM OR RETURN THE MONEY??
Update: Received the 2nd phone yesterday. I have ordered for black pearl 3120, but, they had sent me titanium one. Atleast something:) and happy to get out of the mess. I will never buy from them. Will not upgrade the rating either. Others buy at your own risk."

"This is in regards to a purchase made at Thriftycomputer.com on 03/31/09. I ordered a Netgear router on 3/31/09. Later that night I was looking over the manufactures website and discovered that the router was not capable of meeting all my network needs. I called Thrifty Computer at 1-***-***-**** the next day, and asked the operator if my order had shipped. She said that it had not. I then asked if I could cancel my order and receive a full refund for the item and shipping cost. She said that it would not be a problem and when I asked if I could have a confirmation of the cancelation she said that she would email it to me. The next day I received an email from them confirming that they had shipped my order and provided me with a tracking number.
I immediately called them at the same number, and got their voicemail. I received a call back and told the same operator what had happened. She apologized and told me that I would now have to wait till I received the order and either refuse receipt or mail it back to them. I received the order and refused receipt several days later. About a week later I received an email from an employee of the company asking why I had returned the order and asked for me to call them. The only number provided was that of the 800 number. I called a spoke with the same operator as before and after I went over the entire case history she told me that I should get a refund in 2-3 weeks. I allowed the three weeks to go by and received no refund. I call them back on 04/22/09 and asked why I had not received my refund. The same operator apologized again for the wait and said that she would look into it and have the refund expedited. I have today sent one last email requesting that they provide me my refund and also left a voicemail which was return by the same operator and she told me that they would TRY to get me a refund. I have made every attempt to deal with Thriftycomputer.com in a calm and collect manner to no avail. Use Thrifty Computer at your own risk."
"Placed order on May 28, 2009. After 11 days all that exists of my order are e-mails from Thrifty that order has been processed and an e-mail from the USPS that they have received shipping info on a future shipment. I will never order from this company again. They are amateurs.
Upgraded rating after Thrifty refunded half of the total purchase amount (item + shipping). Still waiting for item. Currently USPS still only says they have received info on a pending shipment. Will give further updates.
It has been 2 weeks now and still no record of a shipment. Just empty promises.
Update #2. 15 days after placing order Logitech S510 wireless keyboard and mouse arrived. Though listed as refurbished it looks like new. Works great. If you have patience and don't need your order quickly try Thrifty."
