"At the beginning of May my cordless optical mouse started acting strangely, by May 8, 2009 it became really annoying so I decided to buy a new one. I found similar prices on eBay, and Amazon, but I wanted to support an independent website so I ordered what looked like the best mouse for me from Thrifty Computer's website. BIG MISTAKE! It was supposed to ship on Tuesday, May 11. When it had not arrived by Friday, May 22 I checked the USPS website for updated shipping info. All it said was the they had been notified to expect the package (in other words the label had been printed). I wrote to the company on Saturday, May 23 asking about my mouse. I received a response that said it would be mailed on Monday. Today I see that Post Office still has not received the package. THIS IS COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE and I am quite annoyed. I am going to file for a refund from PayPal and will NEVER do business with this company again. I will tell all of my friends, family, and customers to find their computer supplies elsewhere.
UPDATE: On May 27 the merchant returned my PayPal payment and sent me a personal apology for the delay. Apparently he had some medical issues, unfortunately whoever was supposed to be taking care of his business did not do a very good job. I do appeciate the time that he took to deal with my dissatisfaction and I will be giving his company another chance in the future."
"Thrifty Computer didn't initially deliver as expected, but ultimately made things right.
After my previous Bluetooth headset went missing, I purchased a Motorola H15 from Thrifty Computer, and paid the extra $$ for priority shipping. Three days later, I received an email saying my order had been "completed", with a link to the shipping carrier's tracking information.
Apparently there was a mix-up with the shipping carrier, and the package was never delivered. By the time it was clear it wasn't going to arrive, Thrifty was out of stock of my item so I obtained a refund from Google Checkout and ordered from another merchant.
To my surprise, when the item was again in stock, Thrifty offered to ship me one for free as compensation for the inconvenience (those of you BT addicts who have gone a month and a half without Bluetooth know what I'm talking about!). I now have a second H15 to use when necessary. Thanks, Thrifty!"
"I ordered from this company based on good reviews from others. I ordered on 4/9/09. As of 5/21/09 I still have not received my product that was supposedly shipped 4/21/09. My money was refunded tonight 5/21/09 after filing a complaint with the company and the BBB of Florida. Make your own decisions but will never shop from this company again. "
"It took 15 days to get my order. Every time I called customer service, they act like they don't know anything. 10 days into it, I called them to ask again where my order was and they flat out lied and said it had shipped days ago. ""you should recieve it today''. 3 days later I called and cancelled the order and they said ''ok'' without getting my info. 2 days later it arrived. Most houses can close escrow faster than it takes for an order to arrive from these people. They don't respond to emails either. Not worth it. The shipping was high too. But they take your money IMMEDIATELY. They also apologized for the delay and promised my shipping would be refunded. Another lie.
Update: I was contacted by the owner and he apologized. He said there was a mix-up with shipping a he wanted to make it up to me. My shipping was refunded and some of the purchase price. It was much appreciated."

"This company had a great deal on a bluetooth headset. Then to back it up, they shipped it so quickly I got it a 3 days later via first class mail.
Then they lowered the price a day after I bought it by $2 more and they (1) Responded back to me at 3am on a saturday night and (2) Refunded me the $2.
I've dealt (literally) with hundreds of online companies and this one is #1 in response and shipping times.
No, I don't work for them or know them, but they made me very happy and I will buy from them in the future without hesitation."

"I received the item ordered in a timely fashion! I was able to correspond with the customer service person by email in real time and they were very quick with their responses. Even months after receiving the item , they gave me assistance with programing the phone and they did not have to do this! Service is excellent!! I will be buying from them again when it is time to upgrade to a better blackberry!"

"I bought a microphone from ThriftyComputer.com that once it reached me, turned out to be defective. I explained the defect and asked them to compare the problem with their notes from the refurbishing process, and they found the problems to be sufficiently similar that they didn't even require me to send the defective microphone back, and even went as far as to send the new replacement mic to my forwarded address I was moving to.
Overall, I'd give them a 9/10, the original mic they sent me shouldn't have made it through testing as-was, but they resolved the issue remarkably well in response."

"Placed an order on Tuesday the 31st. The email confirmation stated that I would be sent a tracking number within 72 hours. 72 hours passed and I did not recieve my tracking number. I emailed Thrifty Computer to inqure about the status of my order. That email went unanswered. I called them on Sunday and, oddly enough got live person (kudos due there). The woman told me my order would be shipped that day and I would have a tracking number by the end of the day. Nothing.
I sent another email that went unanswered so I called and got Joseph on the phone. Joseph had a hard time finding my order at first and couldn't tell me anything about it's status. He claimed he needed to email the warehouse (no capability to call there?) and would get back to me today.
Still waiting on my order status / tracking number.
As a pervious reviewer noted, their home offices listed on the website are actually a residence.
Since leaving this review, the owner of the company refunded our money promptly. He even offered a free bluetooth headset. If only they had been that attentive before I left this review. Despite the problems I had I would possibly give them the benefit of the doubt and consider purchasing from them in future."
