Their prices on some things are excellent, others are average, I buy from many different sites.
My items have always arrived quickly and without incident, and i would not hesitate to do business with them again.
My only complaint is that sometimes shipping charges can be over the top for small items. So it is best to order everything possible in one order."
"I have ordered at least 20 times from TigerDirect.ca, mostly computer parts. Each time the products arrived on time and with no problems. Some items where backordered but arrived within a month.
Their prices aren't always the best so you have to compare as usual, but overall they have been excellent to deal with.

There have been problems on a regular basis as some items that have been shipped to me were incorrect or defective.
My last straw with this company was over the Purchase of a Sony Ericsson unlocked cellular phone.
I paid $650 before taxes.
I ordered a brand new cell phone – that was what I paid for and I have the invoice detailing this.
The phone arrived with scratches and a dirty film on it.
The battery is defective as within one hour of the phone being on standby, the battery dies. If I try and make calls and use the PDA features it dies within 20 minutes or less.
I have contacted Tiger Direct to try and resolve these issues.
I presume they sent me a refurbished phone rather than a new.
They told me that they do not know for sure … that does not create confidence in a shopper.
With all these problems they will not let me exchange or return the phone.
They do not care about all the thousands of dollars I have spent with their company or the loss of my business.
It is very frustrating to invest $650 and not be able to use. I even spent $150 on a two year extended warranty and no help there, either.
As a result I am choosing to deal with a company who respects my business and also appreciates.
This is my story and I have been shopping there for two years now.
If you choose to shop or deal with this company I do hope you have more positive experiences.

"At first it was a good online store, ordered a new hdd and dvdrw within two weeks of each other and all went great.
But then I ordered 2000$ of computer parts to build myself a new system and all hell broke loose. It nearly took one month before I finally received all my parts. The reason for those delays was that they were upgrading their systems, I don't want to know how bad it was before. Overall it was waiting game that I never want to have to go through again.
The prices are good, so if you are willing to wait and are a bit more patient than me . It is a good place to order from, otherwise stay away.
Or you might get lucky and received your parts quickly like some of mine. I received some of them within 5 days, which is good. But that should be on a constant basis for all of them. It is of no use to me if I get a new video card and I have no motherboard and case to put it in."
"Ordered on the 13th of august, case arrived on the 18th, motherboard, ram, mouse, keyboard arrived approx. 26th, CPU and heatsink, after being backordered arrived without tracking numbers a few days later.
I put it all together properly and found the cpu to be DOA, I called tigerdirect and asked them what could be done.. mentioned that I had already sent the rebate in (I did not know it would halt a return process) and was told to buy another CPU and ship the old one back in the new box. Called in the morning to place order and was told by another CSR that this would not work as they check serial numbers.
I was then told to contact AMD about returning it.. their website clearly states that OEM product problems are the problem of the 3rd party reseller.
Needles to say I'm very glad I didn't order another cpu from these people, I spent hours on hold and way too long waiting for my shipment. They are still having wharehouse problems apparently, although when I first ordered they stated a delay of 48-78 hours or somesuch, a week after ordering that was changed to 5-7 business days.
The first two CSR's I contacted were terrible, I got the impression that I was interrupting something and they were angry about it.
I would obviously not recommend this company, I wish I had of heard about this website before placing my order.. I would not have used them, I have neve encountered such inept / shady behavoir / disclosure of information in my life.
I am going to file a complaint with the better business bureau in Ontario and phoning visa to let them know how I feel and what happend with this company, If possible I'll be doing a stop payment.

"I ordered from tigerdirect.ca for my first time on August the 4th. I was paying with paypal. They made a mistake and made paypal made a double payment. I was OK with this mistake, and after waiting for half an hour on hold they said the second payment would be refunded when it was received.
They "shipped" my warranty on the 13th, which was really an e-mail confirmation saying my warranty started on that date. Also, I realized I did not get my refund yet, so I called and waited for 45 minutes on hold and finally got to speak with a rep.. They then told me I needed to get in contact with the credit office person, since they don't have access to that database. I was asked to be transferred and was cut off. So I waited for a call back (since he had my phone #) but didn't get one. I called them back and waited this time for an HOUR to speak to a person to transfer me to this credit lady. I was transferred and got her voice mail, I went to leave a message, but it said the mail box was full! This is after a total of 2 hours of waiting and talking, I finally get this ladies extension and I find out her box is full. So I called back the next day and punched in her extension to find out it was invalid. SO I HAD TO WAIT again on hold to get this persons correct #, and not to just be transferred. I got her correct extension and finally got to her again, I left a message this time and gave my phone number. I waited 3 days and wasn't called back. So I sent them an e-mail, and FINALLY received my refund for the double payment mistake they made for 270 dollars on the 24th.
Now, since their warehouse computer system was being updated my shipment was really delayed. It was shipped on the 13th, when I made my order on the 4th. I received it on the 22nd, know why? They shipped it to the wrong city!!! So I called them and they said they would call UPS. I waited 3 more days, and was told I never called 3 days earlier! So I called UPS, and they fixed it for me and got it to me as quickly as they could.
I was told for this mess I could get a refund on my shipping, so I called, and waited and waited, and finally was told I was going to get a refund in 3 to 4 business days. It is now September 3rd and I haven't received it, and I have sent them 2 e-mails about it, which have yet to be replied to.
I am NEVER going to buy from them, EVER!
I read these bad reviews and thought they couldn't be true, since they were SO bad, but, they are, every single one of them. DO NOT buy from them, it is possible you could get lucky and have no problems, but if you need to contact them about something, GOOD LUCK!"

Finally received the item on August 5, about two weeks after it was ordered. I'm not totally happy with the item, but that's Motorola's fault, not TigerDirect's. I have written an opinion about the item and I'm waiting to see if TigerDirect will post it.

When things go right, TigerDirect.ca has some great prices and you'll be happy. When things go wrong, you'll wonder why you bothered buying from them.
I tried to cancel an order because they couldn't tell me when it would ship. Sounds like they're having a massive reorganization of their Illinois warehouse. George, the customer rep (local 5654) told me to RMA the product when (if?) it arrives and that I could claim for the return shipping cost...they'll send me a cheque. Based on the other opinions posted here, I'm quite sceptical about that.
If they're reorganizing the warehouse and that will delay shipments by a week or more, they should warn their customers of that. Pretty bush-league.

"I've purchased several products from them without trouble, but it was when I did have trouble that they fell through. I purchased a 100-CD spindle in April which, as it turns out, was defective. It is now July and they have yet to do anything for me; I have simply been forwarded to countless answering machines and have yet to have a return call. If you buy from them, stick with name-brand, new products without rebates.
Update: They finally called me back and have now given me a credit for my CD's. If you have a problem, and customer support is un-cooperative, don't give up."
"Ordered a pair of Sennheiser HD-201 headphones. They were shipped the day they were ordered. Very pleased!
NOTE: The only thing that bugged me was the "Verified by VISA" feature. It only applies to VISA cards, but it forces you to add a password to your credit card. Not too sure exactly how / why it works, but I would have preferred it to be an option rather than a must. (I guess this is more of an issue with VISA rather than TigerDirect).

"I ordered a Motorola V505 "Unlocked" GSM Phone from this company. Two weeks later, the order was not shipped and I found no tracking information on their web site for my order. I contacted customer service many times who was the worst I have ever seen so far and pretty rude. They finally admitted that the order was canceled for some unknown reason!! After a long hassle, they issued a new order for me and actually shipped the phone which I thought was the end of this unpleasant experience. I was happy to finally receive the phone only to find out that it is locked for AT&T USA and can not be used with any Canadian carriers!! I had to go again through the unpleasant experience of calling their unprofessional customer service who had no idea what the difference is between locked and unlocked cell phones and were trying to make it look like it was not their fault. I finally decided to stop wasting my time and money by calling them and took the phone to a local shop which cost me an extra $50 to unlock.
I would never buy or recommend this retailer. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY

"I've ordered quite a few things from them...couple of Soyo Barebone Computers, various Ultra Ram, Heatsinks, several printers, a PSU, and various bits and pieces. I also buy from NCIX, Anitec, and Bestway Computers in Vancouver BC where I live.
The quality of everything received was first class and I eventually received all the rebates I applied for from either Tigers captive OnRebate clearing house or direct from most of their suppliers, just as advertised. I also got a refund from them for the shipping cost of something I returned to them because it turned out to be unsuitable (not their fault). They have specific rules and conditions for doing all this stuff but eventually they came through on everything. There was, and maybe still is a big problem with Soyo rebates but Tiger refunded them when it became apparent they were late.
The sales reps and some of the Customer Service Dept. people could handle things better at times and need to give individual customers more personalized sincere service but on balance Tiger is reputable. Their prices are frequently better than average on some products and in fact you can return them at no cost if its really necessary.
I am satisfied with Tiger and will continue to do business with them and would recommend others check them out particularly for full new systems, LCD's or hard drives. "

Spoke to VP of one of their branches at one point about problem from other order, promised would refund some monies; never produced. Good prices; only with rebates that never come. "Ordered a Chaintech VNF4 motherboard with nForce4 Ultra chipset as described in the website. Received a "valued" edition of the motherboard that is not the "Ultra" version I ordered. Called customer service who was rude and could not help. What a scam and waste of my time. I will contact consumer services if this cannot be resolved."
