Tiger_Fran: Although it may have been a price error, the way it was handled was unacceptable. There was no communication by Tiger Direct ot customers indicating that orders were being cancelled or there was a price error.
The fact that the Price error was on a dozen different computers raises suspicions on whether this was a marketing ploy to gain customer information vs. a price error. There is no reasonable explanation as to why there were these many computers that had a price error ranging from $29-$800. This was purely an act of negligence, and this "negligence" from Tiger Direct has inconvenienced myself and I am sure many others who bought the product taking it as a deal.
So far since Registering, I have recieved 3 emails which I consider spam, requesting me to sign up for your newsletter services.
Also, I realize that its in your policy that you will not ship out price errors etc., but by accepting my order Tiger Direct had entered into a contract to provide me with the computer. When I made the offer to purchase the product at the listed price, by verifying my credit card and sending my order to be processed at the warehouse indicates that Tiger Direct had accepted my offer and had entered into a contract.
The fact that the only thing Tiger Direct did was cancel the orders was completely unacceptable whether a Price Error or not.
With the facts above, to me this was more than a price error, and I find it unacceptable you can call it a price error and drop the entire issue.
As for correcting the price error as soon as it was detected, the Price error for the $29 computer was indeed corrected almost immediately, however the others lasted for several hours after."
"This has to be one of the worst stores I have ever purchased from.
1) They will cancel your order without notice many times.
2) They never honor their prices and especially their mail-in-rebates.
3) I just recently put in an order for a computer, which they claimed was a price error, but what's unreasonable is that this happens all the time with them. It's like a marketing technique to draw customers and attention.
4) I once was sold an open box item for a logitech soundbar (for computers) and they tried to convince me it was new, when I got home it didnt even work, then I had to drive all the way back to return it.
