"I have shopped at one of their stores in person and it wasn't a bad experience, but the item I wanted this time was only available online and this experience was a whole different story.

My first disappointment, Tiger advertises "FREE SHIPPING TO ALL OF CANADA! Click here" in the banner on every page you visit. When you do click on the link the page you are taken to tells you "On selected items only"...a whopping 13 selected items in fact.

Second disappointment, when I'm on the page for the item I want it states, "Order Today, Ships Today". OK, if you hold the mouse on this statement it says, "on some holidays and on the weekend ship on the next business day" and of course you have to wait for the verification of the credit card...but when is my "Ships Today" order supposed to arrive you ask? TEN DAYS! Ten days from the date that I placed my order! I've looked at other items on the site and some do say that it takes 7-14 days to ship it. Yet even after placing my order when I refresh the page that describes the item I ordered it still says "Ships Today".

My order actually arrived early...it took four days instead of the promised ten, still not the promised "Ships Today"...I've dealt with other Canadian businesses that put the item in my hands less than 24 hours after I ordered the item. Also at time of writing this review the UPS site still gives no indication of time of delivery...this is four days after I have the shipment in my hands.

Third disappointment, OK it's partially my bank's fault but Tiger FORCED me to sign up for SecureCode in order to complete the transaction, which means I now have ANOTHER password to memorize since it didn't like any of the ones I already use (it had to be mixed letters and numbers). I couldn't say "No Thanks" and continue my transaction, I HAD to do this in order to finish my transaction; Tiger was the first retailer who ever asked for this, and I think it's more to protect their own butts rather than mine. Not even PayPal has ever asked for this!

Would I shop at TigerDirect again? Only if they have something I can't get ANYWHERE else!!! For instance my previous purchase was a wireless keyboard that works 100ft away (I bought it for auditorium use). I couldn't find it in any other computer or office supply store in the city, but Tiger had it...the selection would be the ONLY reason why I'd suggest someone shop at TigerDirect.ca!

As my order was over $700 and charged to a credit card, they took the added security measure to call the phone number in my profile and verify my identity and information. This makes me feel very safe as an online shopper.

"I ordered a motherboard/CPU combo with ram and a power supply and everything was exactly as advertised and was shipped correctly to my home in 2 days. The price was lower than any store in my area by approximately $140.00. One thing I am not happy about is the mail in rebate on two of my items. It was stated in the information about the products (ram and power supply) but rebates are a pain in the butt. The rebates are not as much as they say because of the cost of printing, envelopes, stamps to the US and an hour of my time, plus I have to wait 10 weeks for my $40.00 rebate. Otherwise I would buy from Tiger Direct again, although I will avoid items with mail in rebates."
