"I asked for help on my Nordic Trac. To the best of my knowledge I identified the incline motor board was bad. When I asked the first tech for that part I was told that wouldn’t be the problem, I needed the main power board. Well, I should have stuck with my first instinct because the main board wasn’t the issue. I ended buying the incline motor board which was the problem. I spent a couple hundred more than I needed to. The second tech was helpful and got me the part I really needed. "

"I purchased a Treadmill Rescue Kit for a Weslo Cadence SR12 treadmill. The kit arrived with console, circuit board, cables, wiring terminals, magnet, safety lanyard key, but NO instructions or wiring diagram. A box of electronic gear and no details of what each one is or how to install is very frustrating. Someone had to have designed the kit; therefore, detailed installation instructions and wiring diagrams must be available somewhere. The only help provided was by Steve Drummond [BTW thanks Steve] who emailed to me 2 pictures of the motor controller showing identification labels of various connection points or terminals. Included with the email were brief installation and speed calibration instructions. The instructions mentioned a video but no link on how to see the video.
I feel as if Treadmill Doctor assumed that I should have had previous experience installing this specific kit, and, therefore, I should not need any help or instructions changing out the electronics of my existing treadmill. I have mechanical and electrical maintenance skills, but I have never had a project that I felt so unsure of what I was to do. I can only hope and pray when the time comes to energize the unit that no smoke appears.
Summary: The kit may be a great solution to salvaging my treadmill, but without instructions the kit is almost worthless."
