"Ordering my Nikon D5000 16pc kit with 18-105mm from US1Photo was literary a disaster! Since I live in Europe I found this source as cheaper than the home stores where I live, and after making a shipping calculations it turned out that the price is much lower but...

1. After 1week waiting for their e-mail reply I decided to call. I was waiting like 15minutes on international call, to be transferred to someone called Bruce (in charge of international orders). He didn't show any cooperation, and help even in some terms he felt rude and lazy on the phone.

2. I was waiting for his e-mail order confirmation whole 7 days before I decided to call again (6th time). Bruce said that the kit does not include a battery for that price and made me pay additional $75 for that. The additional money were not the issue here, since it anyway would turn cheaper, but the way he let me call him to confirm that really shocked me out!!

3.Once i got the camera delivered i was terrified!

*The bag that i got was not the one shown in the kit, but awful cheap video camera bag!

*The tripod was the lowest quality on the net i had a chance to use it twice before the head got broken.

*Remote that was shown was original Nikon and the one i got was Zeikos

*Card reader was also Zeikos that actually died after few uses - I had to buy another one.

*Screen protectors were not even there although they were shon in the kit.

Luckily the camera and the lens work fine, so in some way I'm holding myself up from returning them back!

If i were in the US I'd definitely turned them back but in my case of wanting to go on a low budget i spend more than i had ever thought i will EVER!

VERY UNSATISFIED and DO NOT BUY FROM THEM EVER!!!

"Placed an order for the Canon Rebel T2i body and Tamron 18-270 lens on 2/26/10. Waited a few days without hearing anything, decided to call, and after the "normal" 15 to 20 minute wait time, talked to Thomas. I was informed the camera was backordered. Received camera and lens on 3/19/10, but the Nikon mount lens was sent, not the Canon mount I ordered. Called them back, decided on a refund of the lens price, and was told the money would be refunded a day or two after the lens was received. Got an RMA# and
shipped the lens back insured and got the delivery confirmation from the post office on 3/22/10. Called on 3/23 when the refund had not been returned, and was told by the end of the week. Called 3/26 and was told because of the Passover holiday they were not working and were behind. Called 4/1 and was told by the end of the week. Called 4/2 and was told by the end of the business day, and that the refund was made on 3/29 so they were going to call the bank and check. Its now 4/6, and I will be calling the credit card company today to file fraud charges against them for the $538.00 for the lens I returned, and I will be contacting the Office of Consumer Protection in New Jersey to file a complaint. Never do business with this company!! I think the people who have had a good experience with them were lucky and should never order from them again!
UPDATE: Money was credited to my account on 4/6. There is still no excuse for how long it took!

"If you check the positive reviews for this vendor, you'll see that they are phony ones written by brand new members. One of them even has a user's name of US1Mike...how blatantly obvious can you be? "I ordered a Canon 7D for $1729.00. I never checked reviews until after i ordered and was quite shocked by what i read. I had the same sort of experience with being asked to more extras or warranties of which i declined. After 2 days I get an email wanting me to verify my order. Thought that was weird. Anyways free shipping take 5-9 days okay i can wait. Well waited well over a week and decided to call. Very difficult to get thru to them. After being on hold a verl long time i was told it would be there within 3 days. Well never made it and again i call and complain and finally get assured its been shipped and get a confirmation number. Well the confirmation number is invalid. Called again demanding my camera or cancel my order and a guy i think named thomas garrantied everything and to ship fed ex. Low and Behold 2 days later it arrived! That was close to 3 weeks from order date. The camera is brand new and so is the lense but the lense came in a generic box which im not sure is what you would recieve fron canon. Ive read they sell grey market cameras so im not sure what i got but i registered it with canon and all seems ok. they also threw in xtra promo stuff i wasnt expecting. camera bag, little tripod, screen guard and a compact flash card and a couple other trinkets that was in the original deal as free. i havent used the camera yet but it powers up fine and has the current firmware so i dont need to update earlier problem with the 7D. All i can say is they make you wait and you get a run around with the free shipping but I got the Camera and lense for $150 cheaper than anywhere so Im pleased!"

" I ordered a Pentax K-x for my wife on 2/26/2010. Two days later, I got a call to verify the order. The rep said that I needed an upgraded battery or I wouldn't be happy with my camera's performance. Not being a camera guy, I added the battery pack to the order. The rep said the camera would ship immediately and I'd have it in six or seven days. On 3/11/2010, I called the company again to check on status. Reggie told me the item had been sent for drop shipment on 3/2/2010 and would arrive on 3/16 or 3/17. Well, today is the 18th, and nothing yet.

UPDATE: I talked to Thomas at customer service today (3/18/2010). He first told me that the camera had shipped and should arrive sometime next week. I then told him their rep said the same thing last week and it had been 20 days since I had ordered. He checked again, and said that they would send it FedEx today and I should receive it in a day or two. Stay tuned...

3/19/2010: The saga continues. No tracking number received. Thomas has no idea what I'm talking about. After changing reps, Kevin now says that they must complete a claim on the missing camera and ship another via FedEx and that I will receive it on Wed or Thurs. He also says that if I don't receive it by then, he will refund my money. Thursday will be 27 days from the day I ordered.

"It has been nearly two weeks since placing my order for a Canon VIXIA HF 10 camcorder. I have received no follow up on a tracking number or shipping status at all. I have tried multiple phone calls and emails to Bruce at US1Photo. On 3/12/2010, I was told the item would ship "next week". I asked for a tracking number or shipping confimration and was told they had nothing for me.

I have had my mastercard already charged on 3/3. However, this company has no idea on shipping status, other that it is out for drop shipment. This is ridiculous...I recommend taking your business elsewhere.

UPDATE: I have called/emailed a few more times, each time the company has no real committment.
On 3/18, I called customer service and was transfered to the voice mail of my sales person. I left a voice mail, but never got a return call or email.
On 3/22, I called customer service again. This time I was told the issue was the camcorder was on back order, but they would ship it to me via FedEx and I'd have it by 3/26. I was also supposed to have a confirmation email and tracking number by 3/23.

No surprise...I have nothing from this company.

UPDATE, 3/25: I once again called US1Photo customer service and asked for shipping confirmation. This time I was told the camcorder was shipped but got lost in the mail. They were conducting an investigation of what happened. They committed to refunding the total price of my order, and said I would have a confirmation email by 3/29. So I've waited a month for nothing, except I got the bonus of not being able to provide this gift for my wife's birthday.

"Avoid these people at all costs.

2/5/10 - I ordered a Nikon D90 camera and 16-85 mm lens by their website
2/8/10 - I received a call from them to up-sell accessories, but I declined since they were overpriced and I didn't know what brands they were pushing. They said they'd get the order out to shipping and I would have it in 7-9 days, and they charged my credit card.
2/17/10 - My order status was still "Sent to be drop shipped", so I called and was told it will be delivered on 2/19/10
2/19/10 - I called again, since the status was still "Sent to be drop shipped" and I never received an email with shipping information. I was told delivery would be on 2/21/10.
2/24/10 - I gave them an extra day, but the status still said "Sent to be drop shipped" and I had no shipping information, so I was convinced it was never shipped. I called to cancel the order, and the rep insisted that it did ship and I'd have it by 2/26/10, even though he couldn't give me a tracking number or ship date. I told him he was full of it and to cancel my order. I wound up in an argument with the manager who repeated what the sales rep said, but he also couldn't give me a tracking number or ship date. I agreed to wait until 2/26/10, their claimed delivery date.
2/25/10 - I received an automated shipment email saying it was shipped 2/25/10 via overnight FedEx. Note that it shipped only after I argued with the manager, and he had to ship it next-day FedEx for it to arrive on the day he claimed.
2/26/10 - The package arrived, but Nikon says the serial number is gray market, and they will not repair any gray market item (if it should need repair), even if I pay them for the work, so I have in essence no warranty.

They also have an F rating at the Better Business Bureau. I am going to post this rating at other sites in the hopes that more people will be warned to stay away from them. It's worth the extra few dollars to buy from reputable stores than to deal with these shenanigans.

3/7/10-UPDATE: Got a call from customer service (James). He wanted to give me a warranty, filter, battery, etc in exchange for a positive review on PriceGrabber. I declined, but he called back and offered to send a US-market camera if I would send back the gray market one. I agreed, and changed my PriceGrabber rating due to his effort to make amends.

"Avoid US1Camera/US1Photo! Don't believe there advertised shipping times. More than two weeks have passed since I ordered two items and I have yet to receive them or even get a response from their service department, yet they had no problems charging my credit card the $564. A few more days and I will be filing a dispute with my credit card company. All this on top of their hard sell tactics not placing my order until I endured their sales pitch and repeated refusal to add unwanted items to my order. It amazes me that any company would treat their customers this way and rely on hard sales tactics instead of reliable customer service. This is my 1st and LAST order from them.
UPDATE 2-24-2010 I contacted US1Photo and spoke with Kevin regarding my purchase. He was helpful explaining the original shipment was returned to them damaged in shipping. He said they sent an email on the 11th explaining the situation and that they had only the silver camera body in stock. I didn't receive any email and double checked my email with the date he gave me. He offered the silver camera body to me at the same price stating it was normally $30 more. I refused and then he also offered an additional battery to make things right and again I refused because I don't want the silver camera body. I do a lot of interior architectural photography and find that a silver camera body is reflected too easily in polished surfaces. The bottom line is that they took another opportunity to try and hard sell me what I didn't want yet did eventually agree to refund my purchase. I personally don't buy the "damaged in shipping" angle since they say the email was sent on the 11th yet my account was charged on the 14th. I'm just grateful to have to opportunity to get out of any transaction with this terrible company. I have yet to receive credit so will update when that happens. At that time I may adjust my ratings for refunds and exchanges.

"TERRIBLE!! All the negative reviews are true, don't buy from these liars. I ordered my Canon Rebel XSi and they called back to sell me extra accesories. I passed. My credit card was charged for the camera on Feb 9, and 9 days later, on Feb 18 they called again to say my camera was out of stock!! I cancelled my order. Don't waste your time with these cheaters. (The positive reviews must be fakes.)"

I placed my order for $900 on January 25. I received email confirming that my order was placed and my card was charged in a couple days. THIS IS THE ONLY EMAIL I HAVE GOT until yesterday when I tried to cancel my order. They are pretty good in charging you card but not delivering.

Before I canceled my order, I had called 3 times to US1photo. I spoke with Roger Walker and Simon and both insured me that my package was lost and will be delivered in 3 days but it never happened. Today I tried to canceled my order second time, I hope they will give me my money back.

Result:
1. Almost one month waiting for my package
2. Several hours trying to reach these guys on the phone
3. I hope I did not lost money, I am sure my bank keeps all records for the transaction so I can claim stolen money.

"STAY AWAY - The word that comes to mind is 'cheat'. Not only did they sell me items in the 'package' that were incompatable with my camera (camera was also in the 'package'). When I returned them, they said they were 'discounted' and only gave me 74% of their list price (price listed on their site - much less expensive elsewhere -for instance, a card reader they charged $29.99 was available on Amazon at $4.19), By discounting items I returned, they charged me 134% for other items in the 'package'. They were also rude, hard to get a hold of, and very slow."

"I have purchased Canon camera 50D before and experienced great price as well as great service. I just ordered a Canon camera and lens and it looked like the items weren't going to make it to my home in time for a 6 week photo class I am teaching in Antarctica. I was connected to Thomas in customer service who absolutely bent over backwards to make sure the camera and lens made the trip with me! I am writing this review from the Tucson Airport, on my way to Antarctica with my new camera and lens. A job well Done! I would recommend this company to anyone who is looking for that combination of low price and great customer service. Thanks US1!

"Buyer Beware,
I shoudl have read all the reviews about this company before ordering,
They will NOT ship your product for teh advertised price unless you buy useless accessories at HIGH prices and once you make a threat to leave a negative review they will bribe you not to.
I had to disconnect my cell Phone # that i gave them because they kept on harassing me with phone calls.

"I had no problems with my order from US1Camera. I was worried at first because there were a number of negative reviews, but after talking with Victor, I decided to place my order for a Nikon D90 because US1Camera had a good deal. The camera came a day earlier (01/21) than the promised date (01/22) with 3 day FedEx shipping. It was well packaged and came with some accessories that were included in the purchase price.

I would recommend this reseller based on my experience.

"I ordered a Pentax K-x w/ 18-55 kit lense from this company online. I chose this place because of the price ($535 incl shipping, w/ their promo kit that consists of: Case, Tripod, Lens Cleaning Kit,LCD Screen Protector & Memory Wallet). After ordering, I received a call that was essentially a pitch to sell me some batteries and a memory card. I politely declined. I then read some of the reviews here, and became concerned and axiously waited for my order to ship. I got an email confirmation a few days later with a FedEx tracking number. Today, I received the package (8 business days from the date of order - I live in the West Coast). I was pleased that the camera and the lens were brand new w/ warranty cards, well-packaged, and even the free promo stuff were pretty decent. So all in all, I'm happy with my purchase experience with us1photo. I was only charged the $535 amount, and for that I got the camera at the lowest price I could find, plus a nice case, a lens cleaning kit, and a screen protector. The free tripod is a flimsy mini tripod for point & shoot cameras."
