Blamed problem on temporary help. They value reputation."

I just got off the phone with them and they say it was a shipping mistake with the holiday shipping push. They told me to hold onto and use the camera until the New Year and then ship it back at their expense. They are refunding my expedited shipping on the initial order.
They have promised me a properly packaged camera with US CANON warranty and the rest of my original order. They claim that the camera is in fact a US camera, but was improperly packaged for sale.
They seemed eager to fix the problems with the order and to leave me happy."

I got nervous when the website showed everything to "be in stock" and the first thing the sales rep asked was "do you really need the cameras this week". I was given a confirmation number told I would have it by Thursday at the latest ($150 2day shipping!)! Which would have been Wednesday with 2 day shipping if "in stock". After never getting my confirmation email I called Wednesday and was told the order number I was given was fake (thanks to sales rep "K" for the lie). I was given the correct order number and a tracking number from accounting (her name is "D"). When I tracked the package through UPS it showed as being shipped 3 Day select. A price difference of $60 (priced through UPS.com) from what I paid for 2 day shipping. They have promised an "adjustment to my bill". I now have a HUGE family dinner Thursday with no video or still camera till Friday. I fell for the LIES........"

My only reservation is that the camera's box did not have a sticker with the camera's serial number on it which Sony said it should have had.
