I've ordered twice from us1.camera.com now. My first purchase was my Sigma 17-70 lens. As I stated above it got to me faster than I expected. Order from us1.camera because they had the best price, period.
The second item I ordered was my Canon 40D. It got to me on time. I ordered it on the 19th knowing it wouldn't get to me in time for X-mas. It wasn't an X-mas present anyways.
Again, at the time us1.camera had the best price. Unfortunately the price dropped after X-mas and us1.camera doesn't do any price adjustments. Other than that I've been happy thus far with them."

"Smooth transaction. They had the best price on a Sigma lens for my Canon so I ordered it on 12/6, it shipped the next day, and I received it 7 days later. Shipping was free via UPS ground and they are in NJ whereas I am in Portland, OR so I think 7 days is acceptable. Lens arrived in original packaging in perfect condition with USA warranty. They even threw in a 3 piece lens cleaning kit for free which was not mentioned anywhere on the site when I ordered it. Nobody called me to "confirm my order" and try to sell me ridiculously overpriced accessories. I got and e-mail to confirm the order and another when it shipped and a tracking # was provided. What more can you ask? Would definitely buy from them again."

"This was my first order from US1 Camera. My camera (Canon G9) and related items arrived on time and in perfect condition. The web site does not work exactly as it should. Free shipping did not appear as it should have when I placed the order but at $4.99 for shipping and a really good deal on the camera and related items as a package I am not complaining, just observing that the web site is not entirely accurate."
"Canon 5D (body only): 1st time purchaser from US1 Camera based on great price and buyer comments. It took them 7 days to process the order and another 6 days to get it to me. When received, I got a 5D box with nothing but a lens in it (which I didn't order)& some camera accessories. US1 had caught the mistake and contacted me the day prior to delivery. After verifying the contents I returned only the lens (overnight) at their cost (I apparently had the correct box). It took them another 6 days to get me the camera. The new box, which was way too big for secure shipping for the camera body, was crushed and the camera was loose in the box, apparently coming out of what little bubble wrap it was supposed to be wrapped in. Also, the other air filled packing had been deflated (if it ever was) leaving the camera loose to bang around with no protection from NJ to TX. You'd think, for their blundering error, they'd throw in something for my hassles - a memory card, extra battery, something!...customer service....what's that? You'd also think they'd know how to package a $2,000 camera. Anyway, since I know nothing about cameras (this is a gift to a professional photographer), I'm having the recipient take a good look at the camera to see if there's any damage. If so, it will be returned. Unless there's a significant price difference, I'll probably use another vendor next time. Mistakes will happen, but how the issue is dealt with, is paramount in my book & reflects on a companies professionalism. "

"I read with interest the experience of others regarding calls concerning valid, placed orders and orders being declined due to "issues" with a follow-up call suggested. I placed an order for a Canon 40D along with some accessories worth over $1500. Email confirmation received in 30 minutes. Less than 10 minutes later, an email was received that my credit card had been declined for the purchase and to call Maria at US1Photo. Unfortunately, I didn't pick up the email until late that evening. They had already closed for the day. No phone call was recieved from US1Photo even with my cell # included in the order. I called my credit card company, they did receive the credit inquiry regarding my order, but indicated that it was approved and even gave me the authorization number.
I left email and voice mail for Maria on Saturday and Sunday. I was unable to reach ANYONE on Sunday even though they had business hours according to their recorded message. Promptly at 10AM Monday morning I called and finally got through to cancel my order. They offered no explanations or details.
Update on 12/20, TJ called me tonight on my cell regarding this item. While a bit late, I do admire the follow-up. He explained the authorization/capture process and while could not explain why after the initial authorization the capture process would have declined the transaction, he did agree that some immediate follow-up would have improved the situation. A simple phone call on the same cell where TJ contacted me was all that was needed to complete the original sale."
"Made an expensive order and pay with PayPal. Ordered on Nov 29, 2007 and it arrived on Dec 5, 2007. No call or anything required. I just wish it came with the retail box instead of the brown cardboard box. Product ordered new and I couldn't find any sign of used. Nothing missing. Everything was smooth. I'm very happy with my order."
"I purchased a Canon 40D and 24-105 f/4 IS lens. Received a confirmation call from "K", who was friendly and did not push too hard on selling accessories. Products arrived in good condition in OEM box (which I expected). The only thing missing was the 1-yr warranty for the camera. I called back 2 days later and talked to "D", who said she would send me the warranty card. 2 weeks later, still no card, I called back, talked to "K", who told me "D" had sent it out already and there was nothing they could do. In fact, their price for an extra Canon battery was as good as any I found (there were cheaper 3rd party ones available). I would buy from them again."
"Purchased a Canon EOS 40D digital SLR. As expected, they tried to sell me an extended warranty (no sale), then sent me "grey goods". Camera did not have a Canon USA warranty but one furnished by the store itself. The free 1GB flash memory card was an SD type...the camera uses Compact Flash! When I called on this I was told they had "no idea" how this could have happened. They then offered to extend their own warranty for three years and, when I refused, offered to exchange the camera for one with a Canon warranty. I declined and returned the camera. I'm still waiting for the crdit! "
