I told him to cancel my order at which point he waived the insurance fee. My credit card was billed immediately but my order wasn't shipped until July 1, 03. They however upgraded my shipping to 3 day select for free. The camera arrived on time and it had all the accessories, confirmed with Sony about the US warranty. "I did not order from US1Camera.com, but would like to share my experience.

I called today (7/1/03) to inquire about a Canon 10d digital camera they have on their web site for $1439, $61 cheaper than list. When I asked if I could use my UPS account to pay for overnight shipping, at first I was told that it was impossible.

Then upon further proding, I was told that they make money off shipping charges. When I brought up the fact that the actual shipping for the item to my location was around $30 ($30 less than what I was quoted), He agreed. I then told him that it is illegal to charge extra onto shipping rates for profit (only legal way is for packaging expenses), and he said he knew.

At this point, I asked what if I payed by wire transfer. And was told they would immediately ship the item at $20 for overnight.

I dont know what is up with this company, but based on resellerratings and some other rating sites, I had confidence that this New York retailer was different than what other New York retailers are stereotyped.

I know that this probably will not sway any of your decisions when buying as many of you would not have UPS accounts, but from what I have heard, I would not go anywhere near this company again."
