"DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME. Same bullcrap as the other scam sites. Ordered camcorder online and was requested to call back to "verify" order. Called back and declined all accessory packages and extended warranty. The next day I received an email saying that my camcorder was on backorder with the manufacturer but the website says that the item still ships within 1-2 days. This is bait and switch and it is ILLEGAL. How do these sites get away with it?"

"Ordered camcorder as they had good price and a good rating on feedback. Was disappointed from the start as I expected either immediate shippment, I had paid for three day express to have it by the weekend. Weekend came and went. then I get a call wanting the number on the back of my credit card. Fine. Then I called back as they had offered me 25% off and ordered a battery. then they wanted to sale me a 399 wide angle lens. I said NO and the saleman could tell I was not happy so he offered to throw in for the wide angle cost a telephoto filters and bag. OK but then it was well you will need a fast charger. Guys name was mike.

I felt this was pressure to buy and when I got my order the stuff is not name brand. In fact the saleman told me sony doesnt make good lens there crap and that this titinium digital vision one was much better. I say bullcrap.

Then I had to email them yet again to ask why my accesorys had shipped but still no camera. Finally they shipped the camera.

I would warn you that there prices are good and its new merchandise but be carefull ordering accesorys from them. I have since looked up the acessorys on the web and I think I got good value and these lens seem to be ok from what I have found on the web about them. I dont think Ill return anything.

"The prices are true and the web site displays valid items in stock. However, this is all that is good about this merchant.

I was in the market for a new dSLR camera, lenses, memory, and extra camera accessories. The price for the camera was really good and the item was in stock, based on the status displayed on their web site. I started the checkout process, but their system didn't accept my address as being valid. After calling the company directly I got to the sales department. The sales rep was helpful at first; answering every question I had about their product availability. However, after I proceeded to make the order for the camera only, the sales rep was very insisting on selling extra warranty. After the warranty negations, I was offered to buy lenses for this camera. For each item that I ordered, I asked multiple times whether all the items were in stock and would be delivered by mid-week. The answer was always "yes, don't worry."

The order was placed on Friday morning, the shipping method was Next Day Delivery and after the mid-week deadline passed and the order was not delivered, I called the merchant again. This time they said that some items were special order and needed more time to be shipped. The new deadline was given to be Thursday evening, at the latest. On Friday morning, after I didn't receive the order, I called back. I wanted to cancel the order completely, since I haven't received anything and this started to look like a scam. After calling customer service multiple times they threatened to charge 10% from the total price if I cancel the order. I left multiple messages for customer service managers and no one ever called back. The shipping method was Next Day Delivery, but it took more than a week for me to receive it, at which point I rejected the parcel. It was late and I had to buy the camera at a different merchant.

My credit card company was able to help me a lot. I started the process for reversing the charge on my card, but the process is not over yet.

The moral of this story is that you should not trust their sales or customer service reps and chose a different merchant. Always use a credit card for your purchase. The credit company is your best line of defense, when you end up in my situation.

"You probably consider buying from US1camera because "Pricegrabber" or some other website gave an excellent price for your camera and reseller rating reviews are not too bad after all. As long as you stick to your research and just buy what you researched (probably a camera or camcorder) you can hardly go wrong with this site, if you do not mind a bit of phone marketing in between (see below).
My key recommendation however is: Do not buy anything you have not researched. No batteries, no memory card, no extra lens, no nothing. Chance is you get an overpriced no name product you will hardly be able to return. The best example I can give you is the extra battery for a Nikon Coolpix camera. I admit I did not pay enough attention when I ordered. It said "AC-Delco EN-EL1" not Nikon EN-EL1, fair enough. The price for the battery was $49.95, a hefty price tag for a no name. Especially considering they did not even send the correct knock-off. I got a MI-ENEL1 7.4v from "Mercury Innovations". "Blue nook" on pricegrabber.com storefronts offers the exact same battery for $10.99, so I tried to return the battery and called US1camera. Only problem was, they do not accept partial returns (this means they would accept return of the camera and the battery, however not of the battery alone) and they have a 15% restocking fee, about $100 in our case. Aren't they clever? They would not take the battery back. After being threatened with the Better Business Bureau they agreed to give us a voucher for their store if we return the battery. Only problem is, except for the brand name cameras they only sell no name stuff. Just try and get a single piece of original Nikon accessory and you might be out of luck. Since even on ebay our battery would be worth $ 5 - 10 at best we decided to follow up with the BBB. Justification: Incorrect product (wrong no name battery) was not exchanged.

When you order you will receive an e-mail with the following text:
"We also would like to request that you get in touch with us, for verification purposes so we finalize and ship your order. Our toll free number is 1-***-***-****"
It will be a sales pitch for some "recommended (no name) extras". I had to wait 30 min on the phone to get through. People in general were very stressed and hectic. However, use this call to change the order (e.g. shipping option) or to cancel some overpriced items.

Price of extra No name EN-EL1 battery was $49.95. The original Nikon battery at amazon.com is $34.94. List price according to amazon.com is 39.95.

The online tracking system is very good. It is easy to follow order processing and shipping progress.

"Excellent service! Camera shipped on Monday afternoon - arrived Wednesday morning. Shipped by cheapest method. Had to call to verify internet order. I was offered an extended warrenty. Clerk was very courteous, no hard sell. Would definately buy from them again!"

"Purchased camera with next day shipping. it didn't arrive. comp claims they called my house and it was cancelled. then they told me it would be shipped and arrive the day after thansksgiving. it didn't arrive till following tues.

complained, they gave me store credit redeemable by ordering on line and then calling in. i called in after ordering, was told i had called "too early"; called again, told that customer service was closed, and to call ext 221. called ext and was hung up on 2x. then finally told that once a customer is charged, they can't recredit account! They offered to send more tapes.

dealing with this comp. has been nothing but headaches. will not work with again.

"This place is giving me the run around. I oreded a camera that was listed as "in stock". Only to be notified later that it was backordered. I noticed that since I placed my order, they've raised the price on the item I purchased. That's a strange coincidence that my camera dissappears at the same time they raise their price on this item. I would not buy from them, and consider them dishonest. Stay away from these crooks. "

"I ordered a Fuji FinePix through a competitor's web site and had 3 delayed ship dates. Finially, on the 11th, the other site delayed the ship date for another 10 days. I cancelled my order through them and found US1Camera.com. Not only was the camera about $70 cheaper, but they had it in stock and shipped it the next day. I went with the 7-10 day shipping option (the cheapest) and received the tracking info last night (the 12th) It's already in my local UPS exchange and due to arrive at my house tomorrow. I've called their customer support a number of times (clarification purposes mostly) and they've been very nice and helpful. I'll be ordering from them in the future provided the camera arrives intact.

UPDATE:
Received my S7000 on Friday in factory box with all the goodies. Outstanding job on this order. I've got a new supplier for my electronics!

"These guys had a very good price on a Canon G3 and advertised that they sell no gray market items.

Ordered tht G3 and received an email confirmation right away asking to call to verify the order. When I called I was asked about purchasing accessories. Minimal to no pressure. It almost seemed the guy was going through the motions though he was very polite about it. He confirmed my order for the camera only and the order was shipped the following day. I received email confirmation that contained a Fed Ex tracking number. By the way, my credit card was not charged until AFTER the order had shipped.

Altogether a pleasant experience. I recommend us1camera.com and would not hesitate to use them again in the future.
