"Glad I saw this site before the order I placed went too far. I just got an email from them about it being out of stock and taking 4-6 weeks for delivery. I called up to confirm my order, and they said it will take 4 weeks max. I also confirmed that the camera I was ordering came with all accessories and warranty.
After seeing this site I cancelled my orders immediately. I now have to call my credit card co.
"
"I experience the same scam. I got the "Mike" email and was asked to verify my card code. Then I was told the battery was only a 30 minute life. I upgraded to a 2 hr battery, then he tried to get me to buy a warrenty. I said no and then he said the product would take 12 weeks to ship from the gray market. I said that the site did not mention that and he said he did not care. They changed the the price as well and added insurance. I cancel the order and canceled my credit card number. I do not trust them.
I sent yahoo.com an email to complain that they were an advertiser on their site and sent verisign a email too.
I AGREE WITH LONGAM. THEY MUST GO DOWN HARD! THEY WILL PAY. "

Hey leskowitz, i also sent an email to Verisign and to the Better Business Bureau. Something has got to give!
(updated 9/10/2004)
I've contacted my credit card company and am having my CC# switched, just to be safe.
I too, experienced the same load of crap from this company. i recently ordered a sony digital camera from this company and was told via email to call "Mike" - when i called Mike, he asked me to verify my credit card number and then, he told me the camera does NOT come with a Battery or a Charger - he tried to sell it to me for $200 and when I said that was too expensive for a battery/charger - he said, maybe I shouldn't be buying a camera that I can not afford. He said I should be "Thanking him" for presenting me with this incredible deal and that I should "stretch myself" a little to accommodate such a good deal! When I told him that I wanted to cancel the order - he laughed at me and told me "good luck finding a better deal someplace else"...
THIS COMPANY MUST GO DOWN!!!!!!!!!"
"THIS OUTFIT IS RUN BY LIARS, FRAUDS AND SCAM ARTISTS. Stay away!!! USAPhotoNation is a fresh name but they are the same frauds and con artists who run the old outfit RadioActiveDeals. We ordered a Canon Rebel on 7/7/04. Today (9/1/04) I called to find out why we hadn't received the camera or any communication. Was told by MIKE that it wasn't available and that I would have to order the USA version. Said the version we ordered didn't come with a battery or warranty, although I assure you we phoned and asked and were told that it did. The "USA version" would cost us $300 extra, I was told. I said that I wanted to cancel the order and Mike said that I couldn't. Incredulous, I said again that I wanted to cancel the order and again he said that I could not. He then said, "Don't screw with someone who has your husband's credit card information," which I took to be a threat. Stunned, I said, are you in business just to defraud people? AND HE SAID YES. I have contacted the Federal Trade Commission ***-***-****), the New York Attorney General and the New York District Attorney and won't let up until every search engine turns up a warning on USAPhotoNation and RadioActiveDeals."
"It's the same story with these guys over and over again. I too ordered a digital camera that was nearly 50% cheaper than most other sites, and within two days received an email stating that I needed to talk to Mike (extension 101) regarding my order...
After two days of trying to get in contact with Mike, I received a phone call around 8:30pm. He asked me if I was aware that the camera didn't come with a battery or charger, and I said no. I then questioned whether it had even the manufacturer's one year warranty, and he replied, "nope".
Needless to say, I wound up cancelling the order, and would STRONLGY ENCOURAGE others to steer clear! These guys are bad news. Let me know if you find a positive review about them, will ya.
I also filed a complaint with the New York State's Attorney General and would encourage others to do the same!

"Seems the company tries to improve. I already paid for a camera, $378.89, and later, decided I don't want it.
So I email them to cancel the order. They canceled it quickly."
"I wish I had read this site sooner. Everything happened exactly as stated from other people. Price for the Minolta Z2 was killer--at least 40% lower than everywhere else. So I order. Then I get the email requesting I contact "Mike". They had been trying to get ahold of me.. yeah right they didn't even call. So I call Mike, he tries to sell me stuff. I say now. He says "OK, your item is now on backorder and won't ship for at least 21 days" I said ok.... then I found this site and promptly cancelled my order. I only hope they don't end up charging me somehow......

"I recently purchased a Digital Camera Minolta Z3, my order #12984-S. My order confirmation showed a total of $439.00 + $19.90 for shipping Totaling $458.90, than I received an e-mail to contact Bill for shipping info this was to sell me additional products. Bill mention a battery pack for $89.99 that made sense and talked about a 5 year warranty which he was willing to discount to $59.99 because I was not interested, he also confirmed this was thru Minolta, when he gave me the total of $639.00 I asked him why so much and he said it was Sales Tax which I was surprised. Now I received the package I find my total is $$648.95 and this does not show any Sales Tax. I want a correction and if I do not receive satisfaction I will inform the Washington State Attorney Generals Office as well as Minolta USA.
Sincerely

"Ordered a Nikon D70 Camera. When both web site and slaesperson told me camera was on stock. Several days after order, informed that camera would be send directly from overseas and would take two weeks. About a week after order, informed camera was on backorder for up to six weeks. I cancelled the order. The web site still says the camera is available."
"Pretty much like everybody else. I ordered a Fuji S5000. The price was great. After one day I received an e-mail saying that I should call Ryan at extension 104. He tried to sell me in an aggresive manner some very expensive accessories, and after I said no he ended the discussion with something like: "Let us hope for the best". After three days, nothing happened. I called again, he again tried to sell me a lot of things, and then he finally asked: "You want only the camera"?". After I said yes, he said something like: "This is not good sir". He then told me that the camera has to arrive from Europe in 4-6 weeks. One thing works well though: the cancelation of the order."
"I purchased a camera over the internet from USAphotonation.com. I received an email requesting a call to them in regards to my order. I called and the sales person began offering accessories for the camera at bargain prices. The camera came w/ a 32mg memory stick - I inquired about one w/ more memory. He replied that I really needed to get an extra battery, that the one that comes w/ the camera only lasts 30 minutes. The manufacturer only makes 1 size of the trademarked battery which the vendor specifies on their website. Received the camera and the warranty they sold me, but no extra battery. I called twice they keep to their story that I have received an "upgrade" package. I have all of the online chat documentation from the manufacturer and can prove that the USAphotonation.com has swindled me out of $60. I will not let this incident go unheard - stay away from USAphotonation.com - they are a fraudulent company."
"I made a big mistake going to this company. The Olympus 770 camera has not arrived after a week despite paying a premium for 2 day shipping and their phone numbers and fax are busy. I emailed every link on their site and got no answer. These folks are plain evil."
"This place is a total scam. They tell you the fuji s7000 is avaliable so you order. After you order you get an e-mail wanting phone verification on the phone they try to really hard sell you on everything under the sun for the camera if you decline they get really short with you and tell you that you will get your camera in 7-12 days. what they really do is put your order on backorder for 6-8 weeks. This is criminal in my mind And I am aslo letting my attorney general know."
"Bought a Fuji S7000 digita camera. First problem was the camera they sent, the camera got a foucs error when powering on. The camera must have been returned before because the packaging was torn and the view finder had finger prints on it. Second problem, the salesman guarenteed me there was a 2 week extension on the $100 rebate but when I sent it in, it was rejected and Fuji claims there was no extenstion. Stay away from this retailer, they are nothing but bad news. Gary "
