"Same as other customer. Customer service borders harrassment. They hold your items hostage until you buy more "accessories". Worst online buying experience yet."
"I recently purchased a digital camera from usaphotonation.com. I bought the camera for my Son who is attending college in Pittsburgh. When I ordered the camera online the shipping address was different from the billing address. Apparently this is a "no-no" unless you notify your credit card company of an "alternate Ship-to address". Usaphotonation.com brought the shipping discrepancy to my attention immediately, and even gave me the advice on what I needed to do... and who I needed to call.
The usaphotonation.com sales staff was prompt and courteous in handling the shipment of the camera to my Son. He received the camera quickly and he told me the the shipping materials were overkill.
It's nice to know that there are still a few companies out there that put pride in their work.
Usaphotonation.com is a company that pays attention to detail. Keep up the good work people.
Sincerely, James M. Brown
P.S. I forgot to mention that I got my Canon digital camera at the lowest price I could find on the internet after hours searching for the best deal."
"STAY AWAY!!! These guys are complete scammers. I had placed an order and wanted it shipped via fedex because I needed the item right away. Well, after i placed my order, the next day they said they needed to call me before my order shipped. So I called them just to hear that they were delaying my shipment so they can attempt to sell me more stuff. I said no, and asked if my order would be shipped out that day so i would have it for the weekend. Steve said yes it would. So two days later i get an e-mail that they are now out of stock of the camera and it will not be in for 4-6 weeks, meanwhile the website STILL says it has them in stock. So I called customer service, and I spoke to a total b!tch. She basicly said tough luck, and she didn't care. I told her to cancel my order, not because of the camera being on backorder, but due to her awful attitude. Now I don't have my digital camera for my vacation, thanx to these idiots. Learn from my mistake, STAY AWAY!"
"Ordered Canon PowerShot S60 digital 5 MP camera, $320 incl NYS tax and S&H. Received e-mail to call their rep as they had questions about my order. He asked me if I want Lithium battery ($79) and charger ($59) added to the order. I asked if the camera has US warranty. The answer was "Yes". According to Canon website < http://consumer.usa.canon.com/ir/controller?act=BoxContentsAct&fcategoryid=144&modelid=10149 > PowerShot S60 Kit Contents is as follows:
PowerShot S60 Body
Battery Charger CB-2LT
Wrist Strap WS-300
Digital Camera Solution CD-ROM
ArcSoft Camera Suite CD-ROM
CompactFlash Card CF-32M
Lit hium Battery Pack NB-2LH
AV Cable AVC-DC300
Interface Cable IFC-400PCU
When I told him US distributed (and warrantied) product includes both charger and battery, he said I'm buying a "different box".
I immediately cancelled my order."
"Well I guess I shouldn't have been suprised with this scammer. Their price for a Nikon D70 was $200 less than any other retailer and the prices for the accessories were hugely inflated. So after Mike was unable to sell me on the accessories I got the sorry we are back ordered message. This place is evil and Nikon shouldn't send ANY product to them or let them use their name."
"Do not do business with these people. Same old story as other customers. Placed order, tried to force upgrades and then became argumentative on the phone. My order was cancelled without my approval and the company would not respond to e-mails.
I'm not sure why these people are even in business."
"PLEASE STAY AWAY.
Nothing but TROUBLE. I had to cancel my credit card. Nothing is in stock and said that I would have to wait a month. Funny thing is that I have a screen shot of them saying that it is in stock.
STAY AWAY."
"I completed my order online and the company said that they had the cameras in stock. They sent me a message saying that they couldn't process the credit card information but all of the information was correct. I wasn't able to speak with a live person until several days after the fact but left a couple of voice mails. By the time the person called me back they simply said that they were out of the camera and didn't offer any help to resolve my situation. I had to pry out of them that they were reordering and that there would be more in 3 weeks. After getting off of the phone I decided to write an email stating that I would like their official position on the matter and feel that they need to fill the order as soon as possible. They sent me a generic reply that told me what I already knew. This was one of the worst customer experiences I've had and I'm typically lenient with companies since I can understand what things can go wrong. In my opinion, this company is not structured or planned appropriately and their customer reviews scream this very loudly."
"VERY BAD STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS
Same old crap Bait and Switch These people suck!!!!!!!!!!!!! wanted Canon a75 got back order bs cancelled my order went to local circuit city they matched Targets gift card offer $179.99 camera is in my hot little hands same price as the swindlers would have charged if I would have gotten it WHICH IS DOUBTFUL"
"AVOID THIS STORE AT ALL COSTS!!! They have a horrible order process in that you place an order and then get an email telling you to cal them. All they do next is try to work on an "upsell" of other unecessary items. You will never get their advertised price because they will not let you purchase something without adding more to the order. They have horrible, mean, nasty sales people who don't really know everything about what they are doing. The products do eventually arrive and are perfectly good, BUT the process S-T-I-N-K-S!!!"
"I did an online price search for a Olympus C8080 digital camera and found that they ranged from $700 to about $1000. Then I found USAPhotoNation.com had it listed for only $460. I immediately placed the order then later received an email saying there was a problem. I called "Mike" and he said he needed my credit card confirmation number, then tried to up-sell me on lots of accessories. I politely declined and said goodbye. then I was thinking how odd that was and decided to look up their history. BAD NEWS! I called back only an hour after my initial order and said I'd like to upgrade shipping to priority and he said the camera was not in stock even though the web sight clearly lists the product as AVAILABLE. I told him I wanted to cancel the order and he said OK. I've already notified my credit card company in case they try to run the charge anyway... Could have been worse!"
"Despite showing 'in stock' on their website since the day I ordered from them, my item was 'backordered' for almost two months before I finally cancelled the order today. After waiting a month, it took 3 emails over 11 days asking for a status update/expected arrival date to get a response, when they finally did respond they still did not provide an expected arrival date. And still it says in stock on both of their sites! Strongly recommend against attempting to purchase anything from these people, they were very disappointing. Makes me leery that maybe they were just trying to get my information for credit card fraud or something, they certainly weren't interested in getting the ordered item to me.
Warning: they also operate under radioactivedeals.com as well as usaphotonation.com.

"I found out about this site from Nikon USA, a great company.
Not so for usaphotonation.com. I ordered a Nikon Coolpix
8700 from usaphotonation with overnight FedEx delivery, online. I received an email from them saying it would take 24 to 72 hours to ship unless I phoned an 800 number they provided. Naturally, after paying nearly $60.00 for overnight shipping, I phoned the 800 number. That is when the fast doubletalking commenced. To keep this short and readable, let me just say "Bill" promised me an high capacity Li-ion battery and a quick charger, a five year warranty and other accessories. My charges quickly escalated from $585.00 to over $1000.00, which would have been acceptable had I actually received the promised camera accessories. What I received was a fine Nikon camera with the accessories & only those accessories that normally come with the camera. I guess I should consider myself lucky.
Man these people are slick, insidious and any other negative adjective you can think of, I phoned them three times & they
'tap danced' around my questions each time. As has been stressed so many times before....AVOID THIS PLACE like the plague!
I could go into much more detail but I think I have made my point. I really did not think places like this existed. WOW, was I
way wrong. I am now going to fill out a form from the NY State
Attorney Generals Office. If any one needs to do the same here's the address: http://www.oag.state.ny.us/contact.html
One additional note; although usaphotonation.com's advertised
prices appear to very hard to resist, if you never receive what you pay for, you are being cheated big time.
To sum up, if you want to avoid being ripped off, lied to and all sorts of stressful situations, don't fall into their trap. Buy from some merchant who is well rated or you have used before, you will save yourself a lot of unnecessary grief.

"Absolutely unbelievable!!! I called just after placing my order to make sure that having a different shipping address from my billing address would be ok. The person who answered asked for my order number, verified my name, then asked me to hold. Next person, asked for my order number, verified my name, asked me to hold. This repeated FIVE TIMES before I finally told the next guy that this was getting ridiculus and I just need to make sure the shipping would be ok. He then informed me that I had failed to purchase the rechargeable batteries. I told him I would consider it at another time. He said I HAD to buy the batteries because it doesn't come with any. I told him the website says it does come with 4 regualr alkaline batteries. He said it doesn't. I asked if the website was in error, he said no, it doesn't come rechargeables. I said, I'm not talking about those, I'm talking about regular alkalines. He you can't use those in the camera b/c they will leak. I said these are the standard batteries that Canon ships it with, so please just ship the camera. He called me a "trouble maker" and said he doesn't need to argue about this, he is cancelling my order, and hung up. I called back to see if I could talk to someone else but he answered again. I asked why he had cancelled my order and he just called me a troublemaker again and put me on hold indefinitely. I called the credit card company and made sure nothing from there could be charged to my card. If you want to have an experience like no other and be treated like you wouldn't believe, place an order here. Completely outrageous!! STAY AWAY FROM THIS SCAM SITE. IT'S LIKE SPAM WITH A WEB PRESESNCE."
"Same story as most others here:
Saw too-good-to-be-true price on the web, then called them, and verified that items in question (camera and lens) were in stock and are in fact brand new items.
Placed an order, got "Bill" email, tried to call them next day (got only busy signal), they called the next day, gave me usual sales pitch about high capacity batteries, lens filters, and warranty.
I said "no, thanks", and was promptly informed that items are not in stock anymore. Cancelled the order.
Definitely a scam - buyers beware!"
