"I've been searching for a good price on a Cannon digital to give as a gift and USAphotonation has the best price I can find. I've placed my order and spoke with them today, curtious and very helpful. They suggested some additional items to go with the camera and had no problems with me declining these items. This is not the traditional retailer, they wholesale and that could be why some of the reviews are harsh. Overall, I'm satisfied."
"Same bait and switch as others. I assume others stumbled on this criminal company through google or yahoo. Please contact yahoo at:

"Usaphotonation is a fraud. Initially I thought a good deal, but after reading all these reviews, I realize that this company is nothing but a highwayman, trying to steal your money. They called me on thanksgiving day to give them a review, and in return I would receive a tripod for my camera. I agreed, and initially gave them a good review. Now that I realize I've been swindled, I am very angry. My order went as followed:
1) Ordered a camera and a flash card with bigger capacity, somewhat cheaper than the other vendors out there
2) I got an email that my order needed me to contact Mike, it took 3 days for this
3) I called Mike, and he upgraded me to the package deal. The only reason I chose this was because Mike told me the camera would not come with batteries or a charger. I'm not sure if it would have if I hadn't ordered the package, but since I've read other reviews I realize I'm in the exact same boat most of them are in.
4) I paid them, I got 3-5 day shipping. It did arrive 3 days after it was shipped, but they took forever to ship it.
The tripod is still "IN SHIPPING".
This place isn't worth your time, and a downright fraud. I will never purchase from them again, and I wouldn't be surprised if the tripod was still "IN SHIPPING" for the next 5 years."
"After ordering last night I called to verify my order because the item was a birthday gift for my daughter. The man who answered the phone was a very disinterested boy who was quite rude and he informed me that this item was sold out even after the Web site said the item was available. I cancelled my order right then. These people should be shutdown for fraud. The only reason these people are still in business is because no one has sued them. "
"HORRIBLE MERCHANT!!! I Placed an order for an incredibly well priced Sony DSC-T1 on Oct 15, and got the email telling me to call Mike because the camera was out of stock, and was on backorder (apparently Mike is the only guy there, because everytime I tried to get through over there, I was consistiently greeted by Mike's poor english and heavy accent). Odd, I thought, considering on the web page the camera is listed as being in stock... oh well, didn't think much of it. Decided to go ahead with the back order, and was subsequently pressured by Mike to buy any number of rediculous hardware upgrades and warranty extensions... all of which I politely declined.
So, 6 weeks later and after sitting on hold for who-knows-how-long, trying to get this straightened out, I was told by a familiar service rep with a thick accent that I misunderstood when the webpage listed my camera as being in-stock the past two months because the one I had ordered was actually an "import model" and the one shown on the site was the "usa version." Yeah, can we say b.s.? after arguing with the stubborn and deceitful foreigner for awhile (who gave me about 5 different excuses for what was going on), he hung up on me, and I immedeately sent an email to their ****@**** demanding that my order be cancelled. Eventually I got an email back confiming that I had cancelled.
My advice; AVOID THIS FRAUDULENT BUNCH OF CONS LIKE THE PLAGUE!!!"
"The same as everyone else here who got the shaft. Ordered online (availability: YES). Got the email two days later stating that they needed to talk to me. Said I had not changed the CC box to Visa. Then asked me to but some accessories but I already had them. They said fine (not too hard sell). Instantly I get an email saying it is backordered for 4-6 weeks. I instantly check their website and it says Availability: YES. On hold now for 30 minutes trying to confirm my cancelled order so I can buy from another online scam artist... LOL! "
"These guys are the scummiest low lifes on the planet! If you place an order on the internet for a gray market camera(in my case a Canon 20D),they will send you an e mail telling you to call them regarding your order, then they lie to you with a little story about:oh gee you won't have a warrantee,or a battery and you have to send it out of the country to get a repair--i called Canon and they told me that none of what they said is true.I asked the slime ball at photo nation what to do and he said--"we will give you a great deal,a special package price;you will get(let's call this slime ball Bill) a Canon 20D body,a five year warrantee, free shipping and (here comes the real bull) we open the package, remove the low capacity battery and give you a special high capacity one that is much better than the standard battery." Now what do you surpose is in the now previously opened box that you received?--that's right the Canon BP-511-A the very battery that came with the camera right from Canon-How do i know this,Canon told me.So,I have an opened box that was probably someone elses return,I was charged for a battery that I never got and I was talked into a warrantee I probably will never need ,i feel like i've been raped !Oh,by the way Canon tells me that they are not in their data-base as a listed Canon dealer. This is my story and it's going to every state and federal agency I can think of!!!P.S.They even tell lies in their return policy, but i'm out of space for that story.Someone has to stop these guys and put them back in jail where they came from!"
"I tried to purchase a Canon rebel digital camera, they sent emails to me to call Mike.I replied twice to these emails telling them I was hearing impaired and as such cannot call them to bait and switch me.Stay away from these people!"
"This guys are terrible SCAMS! DO NOT BUY FROM THEM EVER!
I ordered a camera thru them. Got the normal "please call us back regarding your order" email. They were extremely pushing about selling me accessories. I got suckered into buying a filter kit with "free leather case" . But the then they said "oh, for $12 more, we have a package that'll upgrade the battery, memory card to 32 megs, lens filter." So i went for it. When I looked at the bill a few days later, they did NOT include the batteries or upgrade memory card AND THEY CHARGED ME $50 over what they quoted on the phone!
I called them back and they swore they did not sell me incrementally and i bought the "package price thru them." They said they will through in the batteries for free to settle it. BUT THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO give me the batteries in the first place. Upon receiving my items, i called to return all my accessories but was refused becuase i had to return the entire purchase with a 15% restocking fee. WHAT?!?! Well, i'm in the middle of the dispute with my credit card company regarding the charge right now. I hope VISA will go after them HARD!"
"These people are thieves! They practice bait and switch tactics. When they are called on it they snear and respond with "What are you going to do about it?" Please, if you have been burned by these jerks file a complaint with the New York City Department of Consumer Affairs at www.nyc.gov/consumers. If you found them through Froogle as I did, send an email to ****@****. Let's hold these people accountable for their crimes! "
"I ordered a Nikon Coolpix 5700 camera and accessories from USA Photo Nations that included: One xtra battery, one flash card, one Wide angle lens with macro, one set of a three piece Digital Filter Kit, and one Optics adapter set for the 5700 accessories. I received all the above equipment for a very fair price, in a timely manner and in excelent condition. The adapter kit they sent to me was not as perfect as I would have liked it to be, and I called USA Photo Nation customer relations and spoke to Jason. he was very helpfull and substituded a different set of filters and adapters, at a somwhat higher cost at USA PhotoNations expense, that worked out perfect for my camera and needs. I had a good experience with the people at USA Photo Nation and was very pleased with their prices and follow-up customer relations. I would not hesitate to purchase my future photo needs from USA Photo Nations and I would, based on my experience with them, recommend them as a reliable and good Co. to order photo equipment from.

"I recently purchased a Fujiflim S5000 digital camera from US Photo Nation. I am very happy with my service and product. I received my product in a timely manner and have not had a problem since. Thank you again"

"DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS COMPANY!
Hello everyone. Our experience was NEGATIVE. This store SUCKS. I hate bait and switch, and these people are the scummiest at it. My girlfriend placed an order, and they contacted her the next day. The salesman on the phone flat out lied to her (told her the camera didnt come with rechargable batteries or a charger - which it certainly DOES), and tried to force her to order overpriced accessories.
Luckily, she told Steve that she needed to ask me and would call back... she was never able to get back in touch with them to say she just wanted the camera, and had to leave messages on their voicemail saying "cancel our order" instead.
DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS COMPANY!"
"TOTAL SCAM!!! I did not go through with the purchase, because I had to cancel my order a week after I placed it. I provide you with the order confirmation #, instead of an invoice number.
Again, usaphotonation.com are a TOTAL SCAM. I placed the order over the phone, aware of all the online sellers that advertise one thing and sell you a different one. Wanted to avoid the online purchase, and be able to talk to somebody, ask questions about the product. I ordered a Minolta Dimage Z3 digital camera. Very good price, with warranty and the standard accesories (except the memory card, but the standard one is small anyway). I asked them SEVERAL TIMES if the product is in stock, and they said yes. After 1 week I thought I'd check on my order. They told me it's gonna ship probably in 3 more weeks after they get the next shipping from their OVERSEAS deposit. Whem I mentioned that I've been told it was in stock 1 week before, when placing my order, the customer representative said that it was in stock, just not in US, but overseas. So they lied to me upfront. He said I could keep the order and wait 3 more weeks to ship or cancel. I cancelled,of course!! Again, know what to ask, in general, and beware of this store."
