"I've ordered appliances online from distant sellers before. But I was a bit nervous about ordering a refrigerator this way. Mostly, I feared damage during shipping and the hassles of having to return it.

The refrigerator model I was looking for had recently been discontinued by LG, and US Appliance was literally only one of two sellers that still had some in stock. Since it was a closeout item, they also had a great price - over $500 off the regular price.

Since they had mostly good reviews on ResellerRatings, I decided to give US Appliance a try. I called to place the order and to make sure the refrigerator really was in stock. The person I spoke with was very polite and helpful. He double checked the stock, and then took my order. He told me it would ship within a day or so, and arrive in 3-5 days.

The next day, I received an e-mail saying it had shipped as promised, along with a tracking number for the trucking company. 2 days later the trucking company contacted me to arrange delivery. The truck arrived as scheduled and the refrigerator was in perfect shape. After I got it unpacked, everything worked perfectly.

One thing to be aware of is that the trucking companies provide curb delivery. Getting it from the street and into your house is your problem. In my case, the driver was nice enough to help me haul it up my driveway and into my garage and I gave him a good tip. But no guarantees that every driver will do that! I also had a backup plan in case he didn't want to assist me.

Bottom line - I had a perfect experience buying from US Appliance, and I would buy from them again.

"I had very specific size limitations on purchasing a new stack washer and dryer, and after much searching, the CSR was able to find a Bosch dual unit that would fit into my limited space! The units were shipped out promptly and arrived with no damage. They're being put to good use, and we're still having fun figuring out all the settings. The best part of the deal is - the dryer does not have to be vented! Still don't understand it, but if we clean the heating element periodically, we find traces of lint. Amazing!!!"
