"Was worried about ordering online for a big purchase: Panasonic 46" 850U Plasma TV. They had the best price and free shipping. Ordered on Friday, received a call regarding delivery Monday and received TV Wednesday. Everything went as it should. No problems what so ever. I'd highly recommend U.S. Appliance!"

"This company got my attention with their low prices (the best pricing I could find anywhere), and a quick check of their rating here convinced me to go ahead and buy from them.

I purchased a 50" Panasonic PZ850 plasma HDTV from U.S. Appliance, and I'm giving them two thumbs up on the experience of dealing with them.

I first ordered the 46" Panasonic PZ850 on Friday, Jan. 23rd. Then over the weekend, after checking the dimensions of the set and the width of the built-in shelving in my living room, I realized that the 50" set would just fit in there.

So on Monday, Jan. 26th, I called U.S. Appliance back, and asked if I could upgrade the order if it had not already shipped yet. They said sure, but the change might delay delivery (the SuperBowl was only six days away). I said no problem with a delay; let's change it up to a 50" set.

I received confirmation of my revised order right away by email. However, I did not receive any word regarding the shipping status of the order. If there's one consistent criticism of U.S. Appliance on this site, that is it: checking the status of your order, to find out whether or not it has shipped, is up to you. About mid-way through the week I decided I would call them back on Friday, Jan. 30th to check up on things.

Imagine my surprise that morning -- Fri. Jan. 30th -- when I got a call from a delivery driver saying he would be at my house in thirty minutes with my new HDTV! So despite not hearing from U.S. Appliance about the shipping status -- and I knew this would happen since I did my homework by researching them here -- I must say that I am *very* pleased with their pricing, the way they handled the change to my order, and the relatively prompt delivery (they report HDTV sets as taking 7-10 business days to arrive; mine was delivered within 5 days).

I will definitely use them again.

"I ordered the Panasonic 46PZ850U at a GREAT price, much cheaper than Circuit City's closing discounted price, on January 23th. The check cleared on Tuesday morning and the item was shipped the following day. I will receive my new HDTV on Monday.

Don't rely on order status inquiry. You have to rely only on yourself, to continually call and find out the status of your order. The lack of communication from US Appliance was disappointing, to say the least.

I decided to order from US Appliance after reviewing comments from the Better Business Bureau and did not find any issues with their business practice.

I will post again after receipt of my HDTV on Monday.

The HDTV arrived in perfect condition. I would definitely buy again from US Appliance.

"I thought I had ordered a Panasonic Plasma HDTV but was informed 5 days later that my purchase was not going to be fulfilled because they had depleted their stock of the item. Even though the order went through online (showed "in stock") and my credit card had been charged the full amount 2 days later without them having the item in stock or having shipped the item.
Ended up having to cancel the order because the TV model was being discontinued and they would not be able to order more.
Price with shipping and tax was a great deal but I don't know why they could not inform me earlier of the item being out of stock or why they charged my credit card when they didn't even have the item in stock. Refund is supposed to be going through but we'll see.
They offered me the same deal on a similar TV (Samsung), but not that great a deal since when I ordered the Panny the Samsung was actually $400 less and I was comparing both to decide which to order.

"Largest purchase on the internet, was concerned. Ordered LG Washer/Dryer combo with pedestals. Did lot of research including consumer research. LG pair I purchased was one of the top-of-the-line. US Appliance has the best price also free shipping at the time I ordered. Web site indicated 3 weeks for delivery, received in 2 weeks and this was over the holidays. Items delivered by local delivery company. Although they would not bring into the house, was stated on US Appliance web site, the driver had a dolly so was able to get into house. All items were well packed in factory cartons, and local delivery was friendly and satisfactory. Items were exactly as advertised, and throughout the process was kept informed by US Appliance. I will buy from them again. Very pleased and satisfied with thier service. LG Front loading washer/dryer work Flawlessly, highly recommend US Appliance."

"Ordered an LG refrigerator LFC20760ST. Although I purchase many things online, this was my first large major appliance purchase over the Internet. The website was easy to navigate and ordering was pretty easy. The price was within a few dollars of other websites that I had checked, along with local stores. US Appliance was also including free shipping right to my door. The statement on the shipping page said it would be about 21 days to ship. I recieved a confirmation email within an hour. I placed my order on 11/12. I got a call from the shipping company on 11/14 that said the refrigerator would be delivered on 11/17. The refrigerator arrived on time and without damage. I would order from them again. The free shipping was a great deal."

"Completed an on-line order of a 52" Samsung HDTV. It shipped the next day and arrived 6 days after I placed the order. (The promised 7-10 business days so they beat their promise.) I phoned to find out the carrier and tracking number and could follow the shipment as it moved from Michigan to South Florida. Best price I could find, free shipping, no sales tax. Pleasant customer service rep when I called for tracking info.

My only suggestion - not even a complaint. Add the shipper and tracking number to the invoice so customer doesn't have to call to get it. Overall - v. favorable experience.

"On May 26, I ordered a propane conversion kit for a dryer that was being delivered and installed on June 7. In the order, I wrote that I needed it by then, so the installer could convert the unit from natural gas to propane.

By May 28, I still had heard nothing from the seller, so I sent them an email stating I needed it by June 7th and asked for status. On May 29, they only sent me a PDF invoice. It didn't actually ship until June 4! The tracking info shows it not even showing up until June 9, which is past the date of the install.

I sent them an email stating my dissatisfaction and disappointment in them for sitting on my order for so long. What did I receive? A rep named Tracy sent me this:

"I have reviewed this order and it was processed on 5/29/08 . Your order shipped out on 6/4/08.
As stated on the website, the approx. delivery time for this order is 1-2 weeks.
This is an estimate and not a guaranteed date.

I trust that I was able to answer your questions and address your concerns to your satisfaction. If you have any further
questions, please do not hesitate to reply back.

All of us here at Us-Appliance appreciate your business as you are a valued customer. Thank you again for contacting Us.

I have the email from their system stating I ordered it May 26, yet they are trying to say that I ordered it too late (May 29). They sat on my order from May 26 through June 4 (a week and a half!).

I'm disappointed that they sat on my order for so long, and I'm also disappointed that they never replied to my email on the 28th to tell me they would not be able to make it by the 7th. All I can say is only order from this company if time is not an issue. I will have to end up sourcing this part locally then paying us-appliance.com a 15% restocking fee due to their bad service, plus the shipping to get it back to them.
