A couple weeks ago I placed an order from Upgrade Solution for 4 EDO memory sticks. Great price, received the memory, it worked fine. I decided I wanted another 6 sticks, so I popped back on and fired off the order.

The next day, I started looking through the e-mail. I first noticed a "$2 additional quantity charge". Checked the product page, and nothing about a certain order amount. Only after putting everything in your shopping cart - right before sending payment - do they mention that additional sticks over 5 incurr an extra $2 apiece.

Ok... annoying, but I could have noticed it beforehand. However, I also checked out their shipping charges. $7.92 for 4 sticks using UPS Ground, but $9.72 for either 5 or 6 sticks? The UPS info confirms that both orders consisted of one package, each weighing in at 1.0 lbs.

So, they skim off the top of shipping charges. That'd be fine if they included "& Handling" anywhere at all, but they only refer to shipping charges. So they claim that they're being charged that amount by UPS when they're really just skimming more money off you.

I called shortly ago to complain, and I was told they had no interest in doing anything, since they already have my money. This kind of behaviour is unacceptable, so I am posting this negative feedback to warn other potential buyers to be wary of the additional miscellaneous charges they may add to your order."

Item was clearly scuffed and original label was missing but showing a new, smaller and non-original label. Having said that, good prices and super fast shipping.

"This was my first purchase from Upgrade Solution. I was a little worried about my purchase due to the somewhat low lifetime rating, but I saw their 6 month rating was high (and it is even higher now).

They had by far the best price for the hard drive that I bought. Their ad on pricewatch claimed they would ship out the item the same day or 1 day after the order is placed. It took them a couple of days to get my order out, but I am not unsatisfied with this as the price for the item was much lower than anywhere else.

I plan to buy from Upgrade Solution again in the future. Their prices are very good and their service seems to be getting much better than what it was in the past.
