"A few weeks ago I received my first purchase from Used Mac Reseller, a 2.13 Gig MacBook from mid-2009, the oldest of the white Macbooks that can load Mavericks I believe. It’s the cleanest, nicest used Mac I’ve bought, and I have bought a few. The company owner talked to me on the phone to work out a couple things about shipping etc, a very good experience. I now await my second order from them, a Mac Mini and an IBook from 2005, with high expectations.

I bought the Macbook so I could have a separate laptop for my dayjob with the latest Mac OS. The price (between $ 200 + 300) was perfect and it’s working great ! I need the old Mini and IBook to run Logic music app, because Logic on OS 10.6 stores the sounds in a very awkward way so I can’t find virtual instruments by category. The file organization on OS 10.4 is much better for the old version Logic 7 I am running, plus the current Logic v10 won’t load my valuable old sounds from 1990s-era Akai and Ensoniq samplers anymore. This is one of those instances where Apple updated and “improved” the app by deleting very desirable features.

I’m grateful that I can still buy the older machines from a first-class vendor like Used Mac Reseller.

More recently I purchase a MacBook for our son for college and after installing some software, it started to freeze and eventually completely shut down. He made me aware of this site and asked if I'd be willing to post my experience here for others to see. I am happy to do so, and decided to just copy the email I sent to him.

Hi,

I want to take a minute to drop you a note about our recent order with you (Order#1494). We recently made the decision at our church to take the plunge and convert to Mac for all of our administrative, weekend production, website, creative & performance teams. This meant replacing our main presentation desktop, as well as our administrative desktop. I knew what we wanted as far as specifications, and that through the Apple store, we were looking at approximately $4,000 and could upgrade the system storage & memory in the future at approximately another $500-600.

This was just too much to tackle for a small but rapidly growing church, and we decided to look into purchasing used hardware.
