"I ordered from Valuebasket because they were the second cheapest place online for the camera I wanted. Actually, I went with them because I was told that my shipment was coming from the UK, it was fast and insured.

I wish I hadn't bought from them.

My item sat processing for over a week, took even longer to dispatch and when dispatched no one anywhere could tell me where it was. Only turns out the other day that they gave me the completely wrong tracking number - oops.

It's the whole customer service team that is shocking. I made attempts daily to find out what was happening with my package and all I'd ever get back in return was scripted ''it's processing'', ''its in the warehouse processing'', ''we get hundreds of orders daily'' and ''its on its way'' - right okay, I don't care. Where is it in real time now - more so what is my tracking number!

This annoyed me the most, when I emailed customer service I asked directly 4 times in one day why didn't my tracking number work and they never answered the direct question and just stated ''it's on its way''.

It wasn't until I rang customer services and gave them a bollocking on the phone that I found out I had a fake tracking number to begin with.

What was most worrying is that when I rang DPD to confirm if they had the package, they couldn't trace where it had been posted from - AKA. meaning it didn't come from the UK which I am furious about. When I originally asked the company they said all items are dispatched from the UK and after doing a whole bunch of tracing turns out it came from Amsterdam.

Why? Because they probably never had my item in stock to begin with and took there sweet time getting it from a different warehouse from a different company.

The customer service is shocking and the whole experience with them has been horrific. The item only came the other day after several weeks of waiting for the bloody thing to be dispatched. I'm glad that it's finally here and my only merit is that they put bloody bubble wrap around it.

As for the item myself, I am highly suspicious and waiting to see how it performs in the future.

In short,

Don't buy from them
Customer service is shocking
Mistreated and shooed away
Keen to take your money and not post the item unless you harass them

"28th Jan 2015 - Still waiting for the promised refund....thinking I have lost my money.


Ordered a product on the 1st Jan 2015 and my credit card was debited on the day. Ordering process was proceeding as normal and then my order disappeared from the portal.

I received an email to my query on what was the issue with the order. They wouldn't explain what was wrong with the order but said they would refund my money......2 weeks later no refund.

I really like the unit I choose and would have thought there was a forward but I guess I will look elsewhere.

Poorest online buying experience in 5 years.

"I Have ordered a Samsung Galaxy S4 mobile from Value Basket on 22-Dec-2014 and the ordered was delivered promptly within a week. I was very much happy seeing the device. When i started using it i felt disappointed that it failed to register the SIM card. I have contacted Value Basket on this complaint and i got a response saying that, I am eligible to apply for 14 days money back guarantee or a product replacement. I opted for the 14 days money back as i felt that the product may not be compatible with my country's network provider. Value Basket organised the product return via DHL and they provided me the waybill. Galaxy S4 was collected the very next day and soon i got the acknowledgment from Value Basket saying that the "Product was received in the good order" and i got another email saying that the cancellation/refund has been triggered. In the next 2-3 days i got the money fully refunded and Value basket sent me a regret email for the faulty product and i was advised that as a token of compensation for the faulty product, they will provide me a YYK 8GB Square Key Shape USB Key (silver) which is much appreciable, I appreciate Value basket's integrity and the way they treat their customer. No doubt Value Basket is one of the best place to buy products! My other friends too are value basket customers and they are delighted too.Much Appreciated"

"Ordered a Kindle from Value Basket as it appears from their web site that it is an Australian business and goods shipped from Australia.
In my case the kindle is coming from Hong Kong and I have still not received my goods.
Following a phone call today I was promised goods would be sent today however no email confirmation.
They have delivery expectation dates on the web site which in my case have not been met.
I'm grateful I paid by Pal Pay as I have some recourse.
Caveat Emptor.

"I ordered a £120 toy for Christmas for my son on the 10th of December and I was told it would be delivered in 2-3 days but I still had not received it on the 21st and when I called value basket they were not very help full and between them and DPD they could not find my order so I asked for a refund and I still have not received my cash back and it is now the 10th of January. "
