"Viking bags did a awesome job, this order was tricky, because the transaction included a reorder with refund and a change to the delivery information after the shipping left the building.. the phone-in and online staff really did a great job.
The saddlebags look great and function well, I will probably move the rear signal lights for a perfect fit and function..
Again,
Thank you

"Great material combined with a very cool design. I get looks! Very solid with lots of room for tools, a spare t-shirt for the trip, gloves, phone, and more! It met my needs on a saddle bag. Although it needs a little bit of creativity on installing, it's not straightforward. I combined the provided velcro wraps with some zip ties in order to keep it tight and snug. In my opinion, I think it should come with an instruction on installing. But overall, it's a 5!"
"The bags are just what I needed, I really like the way they are put together and the price was great!"
"I thought since I put in my bike's information that I was buying bags made specifically for it. This is not the case as the bags are universal. When trying to adjust the bags using the nylon pull strap the yoke ripped, revealing that the yoke is not made of leather, but some sort of foam rubber.
Also, I purchased the turn signal relocation kit thinking it would be bike specific. I was wrong again, and the one sent to me was a generic made for Harley Davidson (I have a Honda). I tried to modify the bracket, but the metal was too hard for HSS drill bits, and I don't have carbides that go big enough to do the job. I ended up throwing the turn signal bracket away and making my own. I also figured a $40 relocation kit would come with any needed wire harnesses, and again I was wrong.
All in all I shouldn't complain because the price was so low, and you get what you pay for. I do feel mislead by the Viking website though, for not making it more obvious that I was buying universal parts."
"We received the bag pretty fast. We will get to use it in the next couple weeks!! Thanks!!!"
"Bags came mildewed and had obviously gotten wet before shipping. Then find out bolt sizes were wrong when trying to install. And then had trouble getting a hold of the company...."
"I am very satisfied with the bags, they look great on the bike (2000 1100 V Star Classic). I read good reviews and bad reviews but once the rep assured me the mounting hardware problems had been corrected, I ordered. Hard mounting instructions were adequate and my son who has Viking Bags was there to assist. Look great, but only time will tell on durability. My only complaint was the $24.99 2 day delivery with USPS took 4 days to deliver. Bags were in Illinois for 3 days. 2nd bad service with USPS and I'll never order anything again that ships U.S. Mail. Ok to take 4 days, but not after charging me $25 for 2 day delivery.

"I used the online live chat to ask some questions about the bags because the pictures showed three different types of the same bag. the only thing the guy got right was the lock placement. When I ordered the bags I went through Harley Heritage Softail specific, the "free mounting Hardware" had ALL metric bolts. Lucky I had done my research and planned on buying new bolts cause the bolt they give you have been known to break. The one thing I can say positive about the whole thing is the saddle bags and the sissybar pack sure look good. If you purchase bags from them, do yourself the favor of buying new bolts and either buy new mounts or make them like I did. I know mine won't break."
"Loved the bags, great quality !"
"Website said will fit Softail Delux. Did not fit. Bags were too low and brackets did not hold bags away from bike. Bolts were low grade, too long and would rust."
"I have never had to go so far as reporting a company to the Better Business Bureau before, but I felt I had to with Viking Bags. Their website was misleading and their customer service representative clearly did not care about the issue. They had an opportunity to grab a lifetime customer by simply owning their mistake and going a little extra to make up for it. They missed the opportunity.
The Following is the complaint I filed:
"YOUR COMPLAINT:
I purchased a motorcycle saddlebag from VikingBags.com. The website clearly advertised the product as lockable, with a chart that listed features, and under the "Key Lockable" column, states: "yes." On the page advertising the product, there is a demonstration video where a salesperson names the model in question, and is then observed inserting a key into a built-in locking mechanism and unlocking the saddlebag. The Product arrived with no built-in locking mechanism but instead an anchor for a non-included padlock, which would be unsightly and can be damaging to the product. When I contacted VikingBags, they denied that their advertising was at fault because it was lockable by padlock. The employee refused to allow me to speak with his supervisor, and he kept saying "this is rarely an issue." Once is too often for misleading advertising. I was offered an exchange for the correct item, however when I informed him that I live an hour away from the nearest UPS drop-off and would also need a new odd-sized shipping box because their repeatedly-used shipping box was too damaged to reuse, taking a day or more of my time, the employee offered no recourse or business compensation for my time/inconvenience and gas money at all. When I said that I had bought the bag specifically for a trip the next day, he said I could use the incorrect bags for my trip, but would have to purchase both sets if I didn't return them in new condition. Considering their misleading advertising forced me into that position, having to pay for both sets of bags is ridiculous. I repeatedly stated this and the employee offered no recourse. When I asked if I could have confirmation that the problem with the advertising would be addressed, the employee repeatedly refused. The fact that he told me that this has happened in the past indicates to me that they have no intention of addressing the problem.
YOUR DESIRED RESOLUTION:
Viking Bags should clearly state on all applicable products whether it is lockable via a built-in locking mechanism or lockable via a padlock, which is not included. Viking Bags should not include advertising videos showing a person unlocking a built-in mechanism if the advertised product has no such mechanism. Viking Bags should also offer some form of reasonable business compensation for customers' lost time/money/gross disruption when Viking Bags are at fault in an issue.""
"Terrible customer service and return policy!!!!!!!"
"The bolts provided were too short to mount the new bags on my Suzuki Blvd. I had to pay Suzuki extra to go to the hardware store and purchase something that would fit. Once installed, they looked nice. However, Viking should not tell folks the hardware provided with the bags will work on a Suzuki Blvd."
"I only wish I knew I could purchase from Canada and would have saved $100.00."
"I've put over 1000 miles on the bags and mounts since installing them over a week ago, and they have held up great! Still frustrating that my Harley Davidson specific bags showed up with metric mounting hardware and the bags barely provide enough length to reach across the fender mounting holes. I had to purchase socket drive bolts because placement doesn't allow for a wrench or ratchet.(Already had to get 3/8 x 16 x 2 3/4 bolts to fit Harley's standard size and thread). For the price and quality of the bags, I can deal with the trip to the hardware store. The bags themselves are pretty solid, and look great on the bike. Lots of compliments so far! I would purchase these bags again."
