"I received my Trianon bags. They are lockable bags. However, the tabs on the lock and the bag don't catch. When the bag is in the locking position, I can open the bag from the top. Upon calling customer service, they said they would send me an email so I could send pics back as I was on the road. They never did. So disappointed as I had high hopes for these bags as they are made in the US."

We want you to be satisfied with our products which is why we have our return policy. "Poor Shipping & Service. I ordered my bags on Monday Jan. 19th morning (central) certainly not pass any shipping cutoffs Pacific time. Product page stated ships same day. Did not ship Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday. Each day late I contacted Viking and was assured that it would ship that day. That was 3 times I was assured that day and it did not happen. Did not ship until Thursday night (central). Once received on Wednesday Jan 28th it was missing all the mounting hardware. Box was in good shape so it did not fall out. Contacted customer service and the agreed that it should have had hardware and will ship the proper parts in 3-5 more days!! Did not even offer to expedite shipping. So I will not have my order in full until probably 13 biz days from order for something that was in stock and just didn't ship. Everyone makes mistakes but they seemed to be annoyed at me for the issue. WITH THAT SAID THE PRODUCT IS AWSOME. I JUST WISH THE SERVICE WAS ACCEPTABLE. I WOULD CONSIDER ANOTHER PURCHASE IF I COULD GET A GAURENTEE THAT I WOULD BE TREATED BETTER."

I ordered from Viking in August 2014 but did not find time to install the saddle bags until December.

First, the bags did not fit right. The mounting brackets that come with the bags were too close to the bike, and the top would not open because the seat was in the way. (You can see this in the photos by the way. In the example picture, there is no way the bag can open because the seat is in the way.)

Second, the design is terrible. The bags are curved on the mounting-side, making it impossible to securely mount in the proper position.

Third, after installing and taking a short test drive, the bag cracked around the mounting hole.

I wrote into support and Nick asked me to send in some photos of the crack. It took almost three weeks for him to get back to me (even though I wrote in a half dozen times asking for an update) with the following response:
"My supervisor said the crack is no big deal and the bags should be fine. Let me know if it gets worse."

Bottom line: It will take an Act of Congress if you need any help from Viking Bags. Recommend you stay away.

About 5 days ago I tried to follow up (since "Nick" stopped responding) via online chat. Spoke with "John" who said that his supervisor would get back to me in 40-60 minutes. His supervisor? Naturally, it's Nick. Five days later and still nothing.

I spoke to the returns department to see why they had denied your return. They mentioned that the bags were out of warranty due to the fact that the cracks resulted from over tightening on the hardware. This is not considered a manufacturing defect. Normally our bags don't just crack. It would be different if they came to you that way from our warehouse. However I managed to pull some strings and allow for a return in your case. Look out for a prepaid shipping label that should be coming to your email inbox shortly.

"The sissy bar bag is a good quality piece and it has some thoughtful design elements. I can't wait to try it on a trip.
The barrel top bag is good quality, I didn't know what to expect but thought and wish it was bigger. In the end it may just be big enough after all for my sleeping bag, time will tell.
Overall I'm happy with this bag. I purchased this bag for the same price as another name brand companies bag, this Viking Bag is 25% bigger and the other co. bag. I would recommend

"The bags look and feel great. They look great on my Honda VTX 1300R. The only problem I had was that I had to take a couple trips to the hardware store for bolts that would secure the bags to my bike. I was only able to use a few bolts that came with the bags. "

"2 weeks after placing my order, the item still had not shipped even though the website stated it was in stock and would ship in one day.

I sent an email and did a chat on Jan 14 and 15th. I'm now told it will ship.

Since this is just a small replacement piece, I;m not upset - crap happens.
