"They advertised that shipping is free but when we initiated return they said that they will charge the shipping cost. Very bad, it's not going to survive with such a policy. "
"The product I received was incredibly cheap and was falling apart. I issued a return and guess what? I have to pay for return shipping. I was so excited to discover this site.. never again."
"As a new customer, I ordered a product from Wayfair.com. Originally it stated that the item would arrive within a couple of days. After I placed the order I got a notice that said it wouldn't arrive for over a week. So I cancelled the order and found the same item on Amazon which I received the next day and at a better price. I also ordered a second furniture item from Wayfair that same day. After placing it I read a couple of reviews that implied it was not a quality item and was also sized more for a child than an adult. So I cancelled that order right away and confirmed it with a phone call to customer service. A day or two later I received both cancelled items and also discovered that one of them had been charged to my new Wayfair credit card without my permission. (Originally I had made payment with my debit card.) I returned both items the same day they arrived and spoke with customer service who said they'd cancel the payment charged on my Wayfair credit card. After so many mistakes in a short period of time, I asked them to close my account. I decided that Wayfair didn't seem to have very good communication between departments and as a whole seemed disorganized. I thought at that time that my account was all paid up but I discovered later that I still had a small balance due from an earlier purchase. So I confirmed with customer service the total amount due and then went online and made the full payment that same day. A month later I received a new bill stating that my payment had been a day late and they were then charging me a $25 late fee with interest on top of it. After reaching out again to customer service they stated that even though I had been told what my current balance was at the time of payment and in spite of them failing to inform me of a possible late fee and even though I paid the balance stated online, there was nothing they could do since the account had been closed. In order to avoid future late fees and charges, I'd have to pay the new balance due. I paid the extra charges begrudgingly and mentioned that I'd be writing this review. So, I'm through with the dismal, shortlived Wayfair experience. I'm sticking with Amazon from now on."
"See photo. They didn’t honor this deal because according to a phone conversation I had as to why payment and order was cancelled, they made a mistake on pricing. Really?! Yeah it was a good deal, but they advertise 70% percent deals all the time. Mistake in pricing or not, this shows a lack of business integrity. It’s one thing if a company doesn’t match competitors prices, it’s another when they don’t honor their own."
"Order couch and keep pushing delivery date and haven’t updated shipping app. Still shows it in California but was told today it was in Texas. We shall see. Wished we had checked these complaints out first. "
"Whenever I need something new for my house, I always look at Wayfair first. They have a good selection of decent quality products and I'm usually not disappointed. When I re-did my home office, I got a really nice file cabinet, lamp, pillows, heated blanket, and portable table from their website. I've bought bedspreads for my mother-in-law (who is in assisted living and needed her linens replaced). Over the years, I must have shopped at Wayfair a dozen times for various things. I've never bought a major large piece of furniture from them, so I can't speak about that sort of experience. But for small to medium sized things, I've found them reliable."
" They are crooks. Products are cheap, customer service is horrible. They charged me shipping on an item I returned that wasn't what I ordered. You can return it but they will charge you for shipping. will never do business with them again"
"Great service! Will use again."
"Would like to speak to someone but you keep telling me the system are down Anthony joyce order number ***-***-****"
"I have been shopping at Wayfair for a couple years. Their communication is excellent. Currently, I am redecorating my home and have purchased chairs, artwork, coffee and end tables, lighting, gorgeous mirrors and rugs. Wayfair is truly the way to go for quality and unique items. It’s also a great source for gifts."
"Unacceptable, disappointed, unprofessional and the worst experience ever!! I called to place an order for a headboard and bed frame to ensure that both items fit with each other. I receive my packages both headboard and bedframe last week and so decided to put it together this week and I noticed that the bolts and nuts to attach the headboard to the bed frame was missing. I contacted customer service and explain the situation to them and I was told that I would receive the missing hardware or the next day. So once the hardware arrived I notice the items were still missing the nuts and the bolts were too short. I called customer service again spoke to someone named Amy she instructed that I should go to a local hardware store and purchase the nuts and bolts and they will give me credit and I told her this is unacceptable the reason why I order online is to avoid the store so long story short I will never order from Wayfair again. They way they treat their paying customers is insane. NEVER EVER AGAIN...no one should be treated this way "
"After ordering door knobs (https://www.wayfair.com/home-improvement/pdp/stephen-d-evans-mushroom-knob-sdev1047.html) and waiting forever to have the order shipped, I tried to cancel the order. Got an email back right away saying it "just shipped" but "good news": I could return the order. When I was tracking the order, it moved (by FedEx) from New York, NY to Brooklyn and then to Edison, NJ - where it has been sitting for a week now. I am aware of the note "It’s normal for on-time packages to go a few days without being scanned." One week is more than "a few days."I find the timing of the attempted cancelling and the supposed "shipping" also quite suspicious."
"I ordered a couple of end tables and a large lamp from wayfair. The end tables were too big so I sent one back and was only able to get store credit. The lamp didn't look right because it was too big for the area. I had to return it and was charged $51.00 for the return. Really bad customer service. Previously I had ordered a couch and they were 1 1/2 months late on the delivery. I should have learned my lesson from that. I will never use them again."
"I ordered the Fentress platform twin bed with trundle. that was exactly what the product was called and had a picture of the product. i also ordered two mattresses, sheet sets, and quilt sets to go with it. when I received the products the twin bed was missing. i called customer service in which Jason tells me that the twin bed does not come with it that the order was for the trundle unit only. I told him that I made a copy of the order which included the title of the product above and the photo. He said it was a misunderstanding and would not even apologize. i told him I wanted to speak to his supervisor and he told me it may take a couple of hours or a couple of days before someone would call me back. I called the next day only to hear the same thing from Cody who was in customer service and he said that he would be glad to set up for a return but I would have to pay shipping cost. I also went back on their website to look up the product and it had been removed from the website and could not even look it up by the exact name and product number. they had a trundle unit that looked just like the one I received and it had the same product number but a different name. At this time I realized I was being shafted and demanded I speak to Cody's supervisor. After waiting on the phone for approximately 22 minutes Naomi is on the line to assist me. I told her that Wayfair is the absolute worse place of business I have ever dealt with in my life and demanded they pick up their "junk" off of my front porch where Fedex had delivered. The next day UPS picked it up and on the return label receipt that UPS left on my doorstep read" return Fentress platform twin bed with trundle. What a joke! "
"I ordered an outdoor dining set that was supposed to be delivered a few weeks ago. First it was just delayed. When it finally arrived, it was missing chairs. The Wayfair told me I could keep it as is (with 4 chairs instead of 6), but had to sign papers that I received the order in full and had no claims. I said I would sign for what I received, but they refused (were very rude about it, too) and took the whole thing away. Then we had a week’s long exchange where some of their reps said the missing chairs arrived in the warehouse and some insisted they were lost in transit. We finally agreed with the manager Sam that I’ll take what they have, sign that I received everything, but he will make sure I’ll get the missing chairs. The delivery was scheduled, I received a confirmation email, amended my schedule, waited for 4 hours, but my order never arrived. When I called, I was told there was a mistake and my set didn’t get loaded on the truck. Two more hours on the phone and the manager of the warehouse gave me his word I’ll receive my set the first thing in the morning. But nope, it did not arrive the following morning either. Wayfair is beyond unreliable."
