"I read many bad reviews about the Wayfair shipping experience but against my better judgement I took my chances and ordered an office desk which I needed urgently. After waiting 6 weeks for my desk which was supposed to arrive in 4-5 weeks, I was informed that one of the boxes was lost in transit and that I only had the options to order another one and wait another “4-5 weeks” or be refunded. They refused to offer any type of discount or expedited shipping and basically said not our problem despite the fact their shipping is done through their own in house network (according the customer service rep) This is terrible customer service for a company of this size. I will not be a return customer and I would encourage others to stay clear. Read the bad reviews and you will find countless experiences like this as well. "
"They took my money and haven’t sent my mattress. Then I received an email that it was canceled. I asked why that happened and they said I needed to update card. I already paid for it and I have proof. I’m contacting the BBB. My card works in fact I purchased other items the same day that already came. I’ve been waiting a month and nothing but drama and bs with this company I’m putting all the screenshots on my social media accounts so no one else gets scammed "
"I’ve had to return several items due to incompetent delivery, consecutive product damage, and items disappearing and not being delivered to me. Wayfair decided to no longer allow me to purchase from them. Huge WTF considering how much money I’ve spent. I guess fedex losing a huge bunk bed, 2 dining room chairs, delivering a broken keurig machine, a box completely torn open with scratches all over a night stand, missing hardware etc. Come on. Proof was supplied of every returned item as well as full on tracking investigations by fedex. Ridiculous. "
"Scheduled delivery of two tall wine refrigerators between noon and 4pm. Late in the afternoon Wayfair changed the delivery time to 6pm causing us to reschedule plans. At 7pm no show from Wayfair delivery nor any additional communication so I called them. I found out on the call they did not have a truck big enough. Given this being the issue I’m sure they knew about this issue early in the day and could have reached out to reschedule. What really has made me not willing to purchase through Wayfair in the future is the fact there was no attempt to refund the shipping cost we upgraded to to have the items carried through our front door...this delivery fee they were unwilling to refund was less than $20. Hopefully my experience with Wayfair will enable others to steer clear and make your purchases elsewhere."
"I heard about Wayfair from a friend who had purchased a Table. I needed a office chair so I ordered one. This was before the Pandemic. It was shipped in a timely manner, the instructions and parts were included. I assembled the office chair and immediately began to use it. The first thing that I noticed was the chair was not comfortable. This was a shocking experience for me because I have purchased inexpensive chairs from Walmart for $59 that were comfortable. This Chair cost $79 and was actually approx. $92 with taxes and shipping. So, I assumed it required a breaking in period. I used the chair for 5 days straight for an average workday. It failed terribly. So, I began to process a return. I almost passed out! To return the chair with a "restocking" fee would leave me out of $63, the chair had cost $79. Needless to say, this was my first and last Wayfair purchase...There are too many other retailers that offer better quality, terms, and return policies. I hope this helps some else! "
"Never pay for shipping here. It's a complete ripoff. I paid $30 to have my item delivered 3 days later (per wayfair's own estimated delivery date). They didn't even ship the item until almost a week later. I had ordered another item on there a year prior and went with free shipping and got that item in the exact same amount of time. Absolutely do not waste your money on shipping from wayfair. Honestly feel like they stole $30 from me because I paid for a service that I didn't receive. Won't be doing business with them again."
"I have done business with Wayfair for several years. I received a promo code flyer in the mail that said "Welcome to the neighborhood" I have been at this address for 23 years. I ordered several things and entered the promo code at checkout. the popup said code good for first order only. I selected the most expensive item and ran the process again for that first item. Still no luck. Called 877-Wayfair and spoke to Josh. He asked if I have ever purchased other items on Wayfair. I affirmed several past purchases, and he stated that the promo was for new customers. The promo flyer was sent to my name, not "Current Occupant" I suspect they were hoping I might overlook the 10% offer, and just complete the order. Josh did not seem too concerned about the loss of a customer."
"Ordered 3-piece bedroom set online. About a week after placing the order I noticed the online invoice listed my order as 2 queen beds and not the 3-piece set I ordered. I immediately called customer service, lady was very friendly and assured me that it was just a “weird format the items were listed but that I would be receiving my 3-piece set that I ordered”. Few weeks later when the furniture was delivered I quickly realized that my bedroom set was not there but 2 queen beds had been delivered. Once again I called customer service very frustrated at this point and the lady had no solution other than to refund my order. At this point the bedroom set I had originally ordered was completely out of stock and on back order.
I appreciate the politeness from Wayfairs customer service department but the inability to actually fix issues and the major system failure of their online site (considering wayfair is a multi $billion company) is inexcusable. Seriously take your business elsewhere.
**Cake topper: it’s been over a week since I’ve asked for a refund and it has yet to go through. "
"I would recommend that no one EVER buy ANYTHING from wayfair. I ordered a desk for my teen daughter for Christmas in early november which was supposed to arrive in 2 weeks, it has been 12 weeks now and no item, no refund. I have complained many times to their customer service email and still no one has been able to refund me or get a desk to me. This is a seller that will NOT make mistakes right. It feels like I have been robbed for hundreds of dollars by wayfair.

"So frustrated. We ordered the perfect accent cabinet from them, and 2 weeks later they randomly cancelled our shipment with absolutely no emails letting us know. Luckily, I had gone onto my account to check on the shipment status and saw that it was cancelled...but they managed to charge us for the protection plan on the cabinet that we're not getting! (It's out of stock now, but definitely wasn't when we purchased it.) Customer service was unbelievably rude. This was our first and last experience with Wayfair. "
"Terrible company, i ordered bed fbecause i thought they can do fast delivery. after 1 months later still i couldn't get my bed. I talked with customer services more than 8 times i spent 5 hours on the phone. i still hasn't got my item. They respond my item is lost and they will solve my problem. i hope until end of the 2021 i will get my bed!!!!!!! Don't waste your money, don't buy any product!!!"
"Wayfair Has The Most Beautiful Furniture Their Price's Are Reasonable The Only Problem It's All Doll Furniture If You Order Anything From Wayfair And It's Wrong They Will Charge The Customer's A Restocking Fee It Takes 3 / 4 Weeks For The Merchandise To Arrive That's Before The Pandemic "
"Worst customer service I've ever dealt with. I'm owed $2000
it's been over 6 months and they still haven't issued me my money
I've spent hours on the phone with these morons trying to get an explanation
only to be treated like crap. STAY AWAY"
"**MILITARY MEMBERS ORDERING FROM WAYFAIR** Please be advised this coming is not military friendly when it comes to delivering on an actual military base. If you can find somewhere else to get your stuff, do just that. I just received my sectional last night later than 7pm, after being told i would have it November 25 and my delivery being canceled about 6 times. Here is my experience:
Your delivery company based out of Baltimore is completely unprofessional. They cancelled my delivery 6 times before I finally received my item. I was supposed to receive my Okeefee sectional November 25 between 7-11am as scheduled. I made them aware that I lived on a military base, I also had that documented so they knew what they needed to gain access (which was your basic divers license, registration and work order, basically a paper stating your business) Yet, they kept arriving to the gat claiming they didn’t have the proper paperwork, without ever calling me. I told them if they asked for a work order to just give me a call eat me speak to the because they would tell me to come meet them at the vehicle inspection area. Once i was cancelled the first time ( which i received a call maybe an hours before delivery window was complete, and asked if it was a military base. I replied yes and the driver told me he can’t come on base and it would be rescheduled) i was told I would receive a call to reschedule, which I never received. Then when I finally got a phone call it was the delivery service stating they were on their way with my delivery. I explained that i was never notified about the new delivery time and I was out of town and i was told they would come back the following Wednesday. Wednesday came and i cancelled once again because apparently my items were never unloaded so they they didn’t load the other truck with my stuff. I was rescheduled AGAIN to the following Thursday at this time i was cancelled because the Drivers didn’t have the “proper paperwork”. I called to speak with the vehicle inspection gate and was told that the drivers had something in the background that prevented them from coming on base. I called customer and explained to them my dilemma ( I believe I spoke to Alexis or April) and she called the delivery company. She called me back and tried to tell me that it’s the military’s fault because they keep turning the drivers away. I informed her that the people they are sending are not allowed on base due to their record and I asked her why was there nobody in their warehouse that they could send that can get authorized to go into a military establishment. She told me they only had one guy and she would put him down for my next delivery and she gave me his name. The next time I was rescheduled due to weather ( I bit the bullet that one because i understood). Delivery day came and i was rescheduled because they did t send the proper guy they were supposed to send and he claims he got turned away. I believe once they realized it was a military base they took it upon themselves to cancel my delivery. They were aware that whoever was delivering could not have certain things on their criminal record and that a background check would be ran prior to entering the military base. However they told me only one person in their warehouse could be granted entry on base and continued to send people with criminal backgrounds to deliver my item, knowing they would be turned away. This time I spoke with a manger ( Julie Marsh who was excellent) she got in contact with the delivery company and scheduled a delivery got last Wednesday. I got an email the SATURDAY before saying my delivery was cancelled already. I emailed Julie immediately, she spoke with them and they told her it’s going to take TWO HOURS to get through the inspection which was no where near true. She fought with them to get them to honor the date and time i was previously given because they can’t cancel based on speculation. The delivery company refused. Julie refunded me more than half my money. I was rescheduled for January 6 and got told that my drop off window would be between 10am-2pm. My items didn’t not arrive until after 7pm. While on the phone with the drivers they told me they were never notified that they had to be there between 10-2. The tracking information didn’t not work, it was never updated as deliveries were completed. I will never order something large that cannot be delivered through regular mail from Wayfair ever again. Your company is not military friendly at all. It seems the company you are contracted with for deliveries cares more about their “time” than actually doing their job. Also the fact that nobody in the working in warehouse can access a military base due to their criminal record concerns me extensively. Wayfair seems to be teaming up with contractors who are cheap. But it is the QUALITY of the service that keeps customers coming back, clearly you all have missed that step when it comes to business management. "
"As many others have noted, Wayfair has no idea what they have in stock. They are drop shipping from other warehouses with little control over the quality and availability of the inventory. I bought a bedroom set for my daughter as a gift. Wayfair shipped the bed frame (which arrived damaged...) and then sent an email stating that the other pieces that I had ordered were no longer in stock and they would not be receiving any more pieces. Now I am stuck with a non-returnable bed and no other matching pieces of furniture (dresser, night stand). The customer service rep told me to "find something else". Really? Would this be an acceptable answer at any other furniture store? Why would I shop at Wayfair again?"
