Wayfair Really ****

"If I could give a negative number I would. I ordered a coffee table from Wayfair. It never arrived, so they put their "special delivery team" on it. We'll resolve and contact you ASAP. I never heard from them. After a week of chasing them and DHL, I got a generic email stating they were issuing me a refund. I can order the table again, but it will cost me more that I originally paid. That's their process. DO NOT ORDER FROM THESE PEOPLE! Horrible customer service."

Items Lost (Again)

"Oh my god. My mother ordered from here a couple years ago, and they marked her order as delivered but I never arrived. She called and customer service said she needed to contact her neighbors because one of them probably had her order. I mean, yes, it probably was delivered to a neighbor but they kept it - hello, free stuff. I do not understand this “call your neighbor” policy, it’s so ridiculous and puts the entire burden of their mistakes on the customer. Anyway, no neighbor fessed up to having received the order, it never showed up, and Wayfair still refused to give my mother a refund. UNTIL she wrote a bad review, at which point someone reached out trying to get her to delete the review. When mom refused, they finally agreed to refund her. This went on for months.

Fast forward, I decided to give Wayfair a chance despite knowing this story. Well, the first item in a large order was marked as delivered two days ago, but it was not delivered to my home. I’m guessing my neighbor has a new rug. Wayfair’s advice? Wait a few days and call your neighbors to see if they have it. If they don’t? File a claim with UPS. I’m assuming the rest of my order will also be delivered to the wrong place, and if my moms experience is any indicator they will do everything they can to keep my money despite me not receiving any products.

I will never order from here again.

Lies about delivery times, terrible customer service

"There have been too many things to note. Essentially we've been waiting 2 months for delivery of several items where Wayfair promised 2 week delivery. We get e mail notifications saying the item is on the way, with subsequent e mails saying that our item cannot be found. When we call customer service, we get zero help and are told to wait longer and "to call back". When we ask if they can call us back because we have been inconvenienced so much, they tell us no.
No solutions are ever presented by the customer service group, and what this really is, is a company who is happy to take our money with the promise of delivering something they never seem to deliver. How long does this delay have to happen before it is considered theft?

Received an Empty box!

"Due to COVID, living in Florida and having children I like many people thought that adding an Intex Frame Pool to my backyard would be perfect to beat the hot Florida heat. The pool was sold out many places and those that had it marked up the product at least a hundred percent. Deciding that the extra $300 was well worth the hours of entertainment that product would provide I went ahead with the purchase. I was ecstatic when I found it a trusted sight like wayfair. I immediately order the pool for my family. I was counting the days until it arrived. It was schedule for delivery by FED EX. The day it was suppose to be delivered FED EX notify me that the box was empty. I immediately called. While they did get a replacement to me they offered no explanation or offer to provide a credit for a pool that they were selling for twice the worth. I am even more disturbed that they are allowing this to happen and most likely an employee took the product and sold it on eBay for three timed its worth. There actions are contributing to the price gouging of high demand item during this unfortunate time. All I was trying to do was provide a little normal and fun for my children during this abnormal dark time. I feel like Wayfair took advantage of me and enable illegal and unethical activities happen within its cooperation. I am very disappointed by their actions."

Never again

"Ordered a bed, they didn’t ship it out until a month later. When the bed arrived they said a part was broken and sent out a replacement bed. That was not delivered until a month and half later. They made a delivery date and canceled it at the last minute(this happened three times) AND THEN the day they were finally supposed to deliver it the guy from the truck called me and said one part is missing do you still want the bed ??? Now I’ve been on the phone for a month for them to process the right refund because they can’t seem to get it right ! Don’t ever order from here "

Horrible customer service, wrong items sent

"I’ve ordered from wayfair on several different occasions. From beds, to dresser sets and even pillows for my couch. On two occasions I was sent entirely different items from what I purchased and another time wrong sizes. The problem is in all actuality, the incompetence of the warehouse workers who seemingly pack whatever they want to apparently, but the bigger problem is the customer service and the so called supervisors who handle your issues as if your the one who caused them. I waited over a month for a chest to be delivered and upon arrival turned out to be an entirely different style that I hadn’t ordered. I called customer service and after an hour of back and fourth (and no compassion what so ever) my only options were keep the dresser (I didn’t want and waited a month for) with a 20 percent discount OR house the dresser in my home for two weeks until THEY decided whether they wanted to come back and get it or would like me to “donate” it. They also told me they would do the “courtesy” of issuing me a refund as if that’s not what they were suppose to do. Today I went to buy a nightstand that was listed at 389.00 yesterday on sale with an original price of 495.00 and today the same nightstand is 639.99. When I spoke with a representative about the price increase she informed me her managers only option was to give me 10 percent off. I am completely done with wayfair, they do not value their customers and I highly recommend for people to spend their money elsewhere, with companies that value and appreciate their customers, especially during a pandemic where money is scarce as it is."

"I ordered a curtain rod and canceled it two hours later after finding a better deal somewhere else. It stayed pending cancellation for 4 days then someone finally reached out to me after calling and told me oops its already shipped and wanted to start a cancel order then but I would have to pay for shipping to return? It should have never been shipped to begin with. I think they would have seen the cancellation. Nope! Then we emailed back and fourth a few time until I asked for a manager then they never emailed me back....so I received the product now to turn around and return it who knows how long this is going to be and if I even receive my full refund. They lost all my business and I will be deleting the app after I hopefully receive a refund.

Rushed

"I bought a desk and a chair. When they showed up the boxes was torn and damaged when I got a hold of someone they pretty much just rushed me off the phone didnt even help. Pretty much said I'm sorry not much we can do when damaged from shipping. But gave me 15% discount felt that they cared more about ending the call fast then actually helpping."

BAD COMPANY

"We ordered bunk beds with drawers. The drawers were missing in the listing. We called, they said they would be shipped. We put the bed together, three out the box. Now weeks later they say no you won’t be getting those drawers and if you want to return the expensive bed you pay the $50 shipping, take the bed apart, and find a box!!! Plus I tried to leave a review on the site and they filter them!! You can’t leave a bad review!!! Scam artists! "

Shipping and Refund Purgatory

"I ordered a common household item from Wayfair on 28 June and it was promised to be delivered on 8 July. This seemed like a slow but acceptable order processing and shipping speed given the national health crisis that we are currently experiencing. On 1 July, I received an email saying the item had shipped. Great! On 7 July, I checked the shipping status at FedEx and, to my surprise, FedEx said that a tracking number had been issued but it had not been shipped. What? Look, I could have bought this elsewhere for the same price. I needed the item. i called Wayfair and the customer service representative could not tell me when the item would actually be shipped. He thought I'd get it in the next week or so, maybe! You know, pandemic, and all. I told that was not good enough and asked to cancel the order since it had not been shipped. He told me that it had to be processed as a return but that I'd get a refund in 3-5 business days. I don't understand why a "return" when I never received it and it hadn't been picked up by FedEx yet but OK sure. Then to my utter shock, 1 day later, FedEx tells me that my item is "on its way" after I have called to cancel it. They basically did not have sufficient inventory control to stop the shipment with a little over 1 days notice. Wow but OK. So, the item starts its journey toward me. Two days later, Wayfair tells FedEx that it can't be delivered to me and turns it around. It meanders it way back to the FedEx shipping office near the Wayfair Warehouse over the next 4 days. Then the item sits there at the local FedEx office for the last 2 days and Wayfair does ummm nothing. So it's now been 18 days after I ordered this item, 15 days since the credit charge went through and a FedEx tracking number was issued, 9 days since I called Wayfair to cancel the order because it had not been shipped in over a week and was going to be late, and 2 days since the item has been sitting at the FedEx office in the neighborhood of the Wayfair warehouse. No refund now for 7 business days. Terrible customer service. Terrible inventory control or shipping processes. If I can avoid it, I will not do business with Wayfair again."

Horrible Experience

"So, I ordered two bedspreads. They were not the same color as the picture -- fine. It was a pain, but I would return them. This is the problem: No matter how many times I tried, the Website did not work, so that I could process the return online. So, I had to contact an actually customer service rep. While waiting for over and hour and finally giving up, I was tortured by the same few bars of music (not even a complete song) over and over again. As a student of psychology and a mental health counselor, there is one reason a company would do this: It is to get you to hang up. The problem with this is that the Website does not work. Who in the world is running this company? When I see the poor reviews, I ask myself what CEO would allow people to continue to be treated this way when it ensures that they will not use Wayfair again. I sure won't. And, I won't recommend them."
