"Took a lil over a week when it was all said and done, but the phone came as described, and will be a great deal once the rebate goes through. "
"Ordered a cell phone on Feb 17. My calls to Customer Service were forwarded to voicemail. Two calls received no response from Wirefly.Com. An email was sent by Wirefly to me on Feb 21 requesting additional info in order to process order. I guessed my home address not billing address was holding up phone number portability. Guess I was right. Wirefly then shipped via UPS to a my billing address, a post office box. UPS called to find a physical address to forward the order since they do not deliver to post office boxes. Wirefly has really poor "Customer Service". Look elsewhere to purchase a cell phone."
"Horrible to deal with. Placed order on 2/5/2005 for a Treo 650 and transfer of exiting Verizon number to Cingular. Number transfered on or about 2/8/2005 so Verizon phone no longer worked. Could not get a true order status, finally got a phone number to call, but never got any real answers from them. Was once told phone was packed already and would ship overnight. Three days later called back and told phone would ship next day. Did FINALLY recieve phone on 2/23. Wirefly claimed to have activated it, it didn't work on Cingular, talked to Cingular and they had a different SIM associated with my number. Issue resolved, but regret saving money by buying from Wirefly because of the hassles. Do no suggest doing business with them."
"Made 6 phone calls over past week still no phones. All outsourced, no supervisors, no us phone numbers. Price is great but time spent to receive order far exceeds savings."
"This was an awful experience, ending in my cancellation 8 days after ordering. Customer service was always foreign-based and they followed a standard script without really knowing what was going on. After they had requested that I verify my address 3 times, I finally ran a search of their ratings, saw this website, and pulled the plug. Not worth the hassle if other big names can get you a similar deal!"
"Crooks!! Pulled the bait and switch. I order two Motorola MPx 220 that were to be free with a Cingular order. This was according to the website and the customer service rep. When we got the phones the rebates were not there. When we called back they said they were not offering that deal anymore. We go back to the website now and it's been changed. I told them at the time of the order it was to be free. We are sorry but we can't do anything. We cancelled our order with American Express and sent the phones back. It makes me not even want to shop on the internet. This will hurt the internet if the companies do not change the way they do business. "
"I purchased a phone with and accessory pack on 1/7/05 from the WireFly website. The pnone arrived on the 12th of January... as for the accessories, it's seems to be anyones guess as to when I will receive them. I just got off the phone for the 3rd time with Customer Service (February 17, 2005) inquiring as to where the missing accessories are. All they tell me is that the order has been sent to the warehouse... but this is the same thing I had been told originally back on January 12th when I FIRST inquired about the missing parts. The unsettling part is when I punch my order number into the automated delevery status system, the system continues to respond with an autmated message stating "Order Is Now Complete."
After checking into the problem and not understading why there was a delay, I was told (on 2/16/05) by a Customer Service Rep named Rina that a Customer Service Supervisor would call today (2/16/05) within the hour". This courtsy call was NEVER returned.
The upsetting part is that WireFly was quick to take my money... but has yet to fill it. As of today, 2/17/05 I do not have the accessories and no one is able to tell me when to expect them. I just hope no one else has to go thru this frustration."
"Beware of Wirefly. I placed my oreder on 2/8/05 for a Razr V3 phone. The phone was not shipped until 2/11/05. My service was cut off with my previous carrier on 2/10/05. I paid for next day air service and did not receive it. The phone was shipped on a Friday with next day Air and did not receive until the following Monday. I was out of mobile coverage for 5 days. There are absolutely no phone numbers to get in touch with any one at Wirefly. I sent them an email on 2/10/05 and they have yet to respond. This is one of the worst experiences I have ever had with an online company. I will never do business with again and would not recommend them to anyone."
"Still do not have the phone I ordered more than a month ago. Different people I speak to have different stories. It is almost impossible to speak to a manager (I have been told that one would call back on 6 different occasions and I have NEVER had one call back). When you do wait on hold for a manager they seem to know nothing and there is no way for them to find out anything. I asked for an expected ship date via email and the reply was '3-5 days'. When I called customer service the same day they said they will NEVER get more phones with ATT plans (ATT plan has 7pm night and weekend minutes unlike Cingular which is 9pm) and that now I had to switch to Cingular. I have wasted 6-7 hours of my life calling, dealing with poor automated response systems, and waiting on hold for poorly trained 'customer service' people that don't know anything. Inphonic is a MUST TO AVOID!"
"I ordered from Wirefly without checking their reviews. Just found them to be the cheapest place online to order new Nextel phone service. Was basically to get a free i830 phone and a $50 rebate with a 2 yr service contract.
Placed the order easy enough. Then several days later get an email from them stating that they have been unable to contact me for further information and will be cancelling the Nextel order, but click here to get T-Mobile service.
Well - they never contacted me by email. And they never left a message on my home answering machine.
I reply to the ****@**** customer service email, and the email bounces back as undeliverable. I check the web site, and deep down in it am able to find a web form place to submit to customer service. I guess they replied to it by sending me the exact same email I got the 1st time round about they were unable to contact me for further information.
I refuse to try to spend an hour on the phone to attempt to talk with a person. So I presume my order is simply cancelled. But bottom line - the worst of customer service.
I hate to have to pay $200 for the same phone direct from Nextel where I still have a 2 yr service commitment. But I definitely won't try Wirefly again."
"Good company to get a cell phone from. Ordered on a Saturday,at the door on Wednesday. What more could want? Will use again. Thanks Curt...:) :) "
"I stumbled upon wirefly.com somewhat by accident.
I ended up ordering from wirefly.com as a result of clicking on the 'buy now' link on Motorola's website. I absolutely had to have the new RAZR V3 phone and didn't feel like paying the 551 + contract through Cingular. I clicked through Motorola's website which led me to wirefly. I was excited to learn that they were offering the same phone for $289 (after rebate). I just went ahead and impulsively ordered it.
I then in a moment of afterthought researched their company here on ResellerRatings.com. I panicked. I thought "Well there must have been a reason for the cheap price..."
I was wrong.
I just recieved my new RAZR today (I ordered it last thurday) and it is everything it was promised to be.
Their website gave me updated info as to the status of my order and it went off without a hitch.
Overall I must say I was pleased with the entire process, although I am not sure I will chance it again, based on the number of negative reviews on this site."
"FRAUDS! FRAUDS! FRAUDS! Be forewarned. Stay away from these guys. They have another company (InPhonic) processing their rebates and they will not process your rebate claim. They screwed me for $300."
"Recieved phone as promised, no problems with that, however, I was to received a free car charger - which I never did, emails to the company went un-answered. I will try to call later today...
Update: 1/31/05 - Called them, after trying to find a customer service number, which I had to call the sales dept to get, they were helpfull, and said that they would set it into the shipping que.. however I still have not received it. I have since gone to ebay and just purchased one."
"DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS COMPANY = Their "customer service" reps are less than that - even hung up on me when I called to inquire about the status of a return. Also, you will encounter very long waits on the phone since most activities cannot be handled on line (e.g. return authorizations,etc.).
I originally purchased 2 cell phones from this company - they sent an incomplete order and wanted to charge me for resending the correct phones. Also, when I inquired about a return of the incorrectly shipped phones, I was advised that I would have to provide insurance as the company does not provide enough insurance for returns.
Additionally, I received an Invoice from the cellular carrier with an activation date reflecting my order date and then only to learn that the wrong phones had been shipped to me.
Again, I had to spend a large amount of time on the phone with follow-up communications to the carrier to cancel this account.
My suggestion is to go directly to the source and not use an outsource company such as Wirefly."
