"i purchased my first cell phone on wirefly in 2005 and decided to come back to them this year when switching carriers. while some in-store reps can be very helpful, many try to push features on you that you don't need. that's their job, i get it :) but if i can go elsewhere, i'll do that. the only thing really lacking for me in this experience was that i wanted the smallest possible data package with my new phone because i use little to no data, but the lowest option was to tack on $20/month rather than $10. still, an easy-to-use interface, the item arrived quickly, and wirefly took care of porting my number over to a new carrier, and all i had to do was enter that number in a field box!

"This is a great option for getting a newer phone (upgrade) without having to pay for the full cost of the phone. I saved enough to get the data plan, finally! Only downside I had with the whole dealing with Wirefly was the short timer the agents had on the e-chat. I had a phone that needed to go back and be replaced with a different phone, and the full service I got was great, but the agent time to chat timed out while I was trying to review phones with their answering my questions to select the proper phone. All in all, a great site, great agents, and very easy to deal with.... will be back for next upgrade for sure! "

"I ordered an HTC EVO Design 4G and paid $9.99. The reason I chose Wirefly was because of their price. Sprint offered me the same phone for $99.99 and this was the price for adding a new line of service to mt family plan. The only thing I didn't like about this transaction was a delay during the order process where they had to contact Sprint for the purpose of obtaining approval to add the phone to my account. Otherwise, everything worked very smoothly and I received my order two days. I'm very satisfied with Wirefly and will do business with them again in the future."
"Wirefly is true to their word and offers a wider variety of phones at discounted prices compared to what the actual companies offer. The customer service worked with me in order to get the plan I wanted and even allowed me to keep certain aspects of my old plan. The system is not perfect and ended up being transferred a lot of times. It was a bit annoying but that can be said with most customer services and Wirefly's was nowhere near the worst I've come across."

I was originally attracted to wirefly for their competitive pricing. I was upgrading an existing account with my cell carrier. I completed the transaction over the phone. All seemed to go well outside of the difficulty in understanding the sales person. I later reviewed the transaction on wirefly's site and discovered the cost of my plan was now $20 more than was agreed upon.
Nightmare begins...trying to reach customer service is next to impossible. When you do, you can't understand them. Their English is awful and their replies sound scripted. Tried wirefly's online live chat twice to resolve the issue but kept getting meaningless apologies, while refusing to answer direct questions and refusing to honor their original agreement. I asked the rep to honor the original agreement or wirelfy was going to loose a sale and a customer. The reps reply was "Okay"!! I even called my cell carrier's cust service and the service rep was kind enough to place a 3 party call to wirefly's cust service in an attempt to resolve the issue. My cell carrier couldn't get through either. Kept getting referred to the online live chat. I finally got through by calling wirefly's sales number. The rep agreed to connect me with cust service. Over the next hour I spoke to the rep, a supervisor, and someone with executive escalations. They just kept repeating the same thing. They would not honor the original agreement they made with me on my calling plan. By the time I finished talking with them, the phone had already shipped. I will be refusing the shipment when it arrives. As a result, my calling plan is now not upgradeable. I needed this phone quickly (I use it for work) and because of the locked upgrade status, I can't buy from another vendor until the phone is shipped back to wirefly. Total waist of time. I'm not one that gets upset easily, but I'm FURIOUS over this. EXTREMELY UPSET WITH WIREFLY'S CUSTOMER SERVICE, it's the WORST I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH!!! Buyer beware, WIREFLY DOES NOT HONOR THEIR AGREEMENTS. I will never do business with them again. I will be contacting the other consumer related businesses that deal specifically with consumer scams and fraud. This is beyond excusable!!"
