"This company is very fraudulant in their advertising. I tried to speak to the main manager this afternoon, and my order was cancelled by the sales manager. He refused to let me speak to anyone. He hung up on me, I contacted the BBB in New York."
"STAY AWAY - TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE - it usually is!
This company had a Sony DCR-HC96 Mini DV Camcorder on sale for $499.99. I called their sales department to verify that the item was in stock because I was ordering it OVERNIGHT. The salesperson assured me that they had enough of these cameras in stock that if I placed the order immediately that it would be shipped immediately.
Today I received an email asking me to call their sales department to verify my order. After dialing the number and extension provided, I was told I would have to speak the the "verification department". After waiting, the person too my order number and stated.
"We need to verify your AMEX security code and you also selected OVERNIGHT shipping, the camera is not in stock."
I promptly asked them to cancel my order and did not provide the AMEX number needed.
I guess when it "looks too good to be true, it really is".
I'll never order from this company again!

"Ordered camcorder on 4/18, rcvd sales confirm same date. Today Apr 24 received an email that I had to call to confirm order. Salesman said that I had to buy charger as Panasonic did not include them, plus I also need it to buy a battery as that was also not included. I explained that a friend had purchased one at another store and everything was included. Salesman questioned his expertise and hung up. Very rude and obviously this is a bait and switch operation. I cancelled order and notified Discover Card. STAY AWAY from these guys!!!"
"After ordering a Canon S80 online a Wisetronics salesman called to “confirm my address” and then sold me additional flash memory for $169 and a battery for $129 with assurances that they offered a low price guarantee and a 30-day return policy. When the order arrived I found the exact same flash memory at another online store for $80 and the same battery (same mfr part numbers) for 35$ so I called Wisetronics to get a refund for the difference and the stalling and evasion began. The representative insisted (but never proved) that the accessories I had found elsewhere were actually different than what they sent me although they had the same part number and so wouldn’t honor the price guarantee.
When I told them I wanted to keep the camera and return the accessories they told me that I couldn’t return the accessories individually because I had bought a “package deal” even though that’s now how it was represented to me. My best exit was to return everything and pay a 10% ($67) restocking fee and lose $30 for shipping for a total loss of $97-and try to warn as many people as possible not to deal with these guys. After they have your money they'll use every technique to prevent you from getting it back if you're unsatisfied.
Their motto should be, “The Customer is Always Wrong”.

"Stay away from these guys. They are a rip off. I purchased a Canon Rebel XT with 18 to 55mm lens at 689.00. They sent me an email to contact them and verify the order. Then tried to sell me a memory card and battery and charger all which are included with the camera from Canon. Tried to tell me this is not a retail package and have to purchase seperatley. When I told them I was a reseller of computer products and know how Canon sells their product they told me they would not sell to a reseller and hung up the phone on me. I called back and asked for a supervisor and again they hung up the phone. I filed a complaint with the NYC Consumer affairs dept. and I would advise anyone having a problem with them to do the same. This is \called a bait and switch which is illegal. "
"i decided to give this company a chance and ordered a professional digital SLR Nikon D50 kit with the two lenses. i was surprised to see how knowledgeable the sale staff at the professional department was and helped me out with all the questions i had. i ordered the camera on 3/10/06 and got it 3 days ago. i opened all the package and everything was inside as promised. but the case they sent me was too small for the camera so i decided to call them, the customer service was very friendly and they told me to keep the case i ordered for $49.99 and they will send me a new case which will fit my camera with the all the extras and the best part they will not charge me for anything extra. i will definitely shop more with these guys in the future and i would recommend future visitors to give them a shot."
"I placed an order for Canon ZR-700 camcorder, next day received email asking to call them to verify an order. I did call, than person asked me for 3 digit code on the back of the credit card. I said that I need a second to locate my card and suddenly they put me on hold. I waited 10 minutes but I think that they just forgot about me! I dropped the phone and called again. They answered immidiately, after telling them 3 digit code they asked me to buy extra battery, I passed on it and then they told me that shipping will take 2-4 week! Just because the item is not in stock! Everything sounded so suspicious so I canceled the order. The guy said "OK" and dropped the phone.
Think twice before shopping at this store.
P.S: I had to cancel my credit card because couple people experienced credit card theft after shopping for "cheap" stuff."
" I ordered a digital camera on Monday, paying extra for 3-day shipment. On Wednesday I received an e-mail from Wisetronics asking me to call an 877 number to "verify my order." I called, and was subjected to a hard-sell pitch for items I neither wanted nor needed. Finally I was told that the camera didn't ship with the items the manufacturer normally includes - cables, software, etc. These would cost an additional $60! When I declined, I was told that it would be 3 or 4 weeks for shipment despite my asking for 3-5 days. Their website shows the camera in stock. Wisetronics is a ripoff outfit, using a low price lure to sell you things that should have been included with the item in the first place. If you don't buy, they give you an unacceptable ship time in order to get you to cancel - which I did."
"!!!!DANGER!!!! This company means nothing but trouble! I just cancelled my order with them for a brand new Sony DSC-H1 [thank goodness]. This company employs your classic bait-and-switch [in effect, they take your order and then switch it with another product after pressuring you to do so].
Also, you'll never get your order! It'll always be backlogged, out-of-stock, or some other bogus reason.
There's no way they're making money, so don't ever, EVER give them your credit card information!! Buyers beware! This is a complete scam."
"They have the Sony digital camera at a great price until you refuse to purchase all kinds of add-ons. The stock immediately disappears and they qote 14-21 day delivery. Classic bait-and-switch."
"As other reviewers have said, this is a bait and switch operation. They lure you in with a good sale and later, before your order ships, reveal that the item doesn't come with a battery (who ever heard of such a thing?) and you have to pay hundreds of dollars to buy one from them. AVOID at all costs."
"Wisetronic is a bait and switch operation. I ordered a Sony DSC-H1 from them at a price of $299. Then I got an email asking for an order confirmation. When I called they tried to sell me their highly overpriced accesories many of which were more than double the price at other vendors. They said the camera had no warranty and I had to buy one. When I turned down all of their sales pitches, they said that the camera would not take three to five days to arrive, but 21 days. I cancelled the order on the spot. My biggest concern is that they will now try to charge my card anyway. I'm calling my card company to prevent that. Stay away from these guys, they are bad news."
"These people are crooks. They advertise low prices but will not deliver product unless you buy accessories or warranties at inflated prices in addition. After I confirmed that they had the camcorder in stock, I placed an order with 7 day shipping. Next day I got a call asking if I wanted filters, batteries or warranties. When I refused all, I was told that the cxamera would ship from Japan in 3-4 weeks, and would carry no warranty. When I checked on the computer 2 days later it showed my order "backlogged". I called and cancelled order. The clerk was happy as if he was waiting for the cancellation."
"Wisetronics requested that I confirm my order by telephone. After some delay I spoke with a salesman who kept trying to sell me additional items I did not want. Finally he said, "I'm sorry the item id out of stock" and hung up."
