There was a small place on the top corner of the mantel that was damaged as if dropped. My wife and I decided we could live with it. The mantel is beautiful and every thing we expected."

The only negative was that the instructions for the remote did not take into account that you had already provided "prewired" unit and that I all I had to do was plug it in. I eventually figured it out and my wife is thrilled with her early Christmas gift!"

"I am always skeptical about purchasing something like this on-line. I had a hard time both finding a mantle and an insert that worked they way we envisioned. This insert fit the mantle we had PERFECTLY, it actually couldn't fit any better. As soon as I plugged it in I fell in love with it. Like most electric fireplaces the flames are decent, hard to replicate real flames, but overall the look and feel is exactly what we were looking for. "I ordered a wood stove and supplies from Woodland Direct on 11/10/12. As of today, 12/5/12, I still can't use my stove. They have sent me the wrong supplies, even though I told them it was for a mobile home. They did this more than once. This is the worst burning I've ever gotten from a company I ordered from. I definitely would not recommend them for anything, unless you want a big hassle. Absolutely no good. Worthless. Also, they won't get back with you unless you nag them. Really BAD customer service! Update: Woodland Direct worked with me and came clean on the problems with my stove order. I've been using my stove since December 2012, and it works great! I had to modify the outside air kit for my stove, however. It never would fit, and no one at Woodland could tell me the proper way to install it. Oh well. I had to figure it out for myself."

"I recently purchased a 5-piece fireplace accessory set in black wrought iron. Shipping was rather fast however the internal packaging was not secured. Two boxes which held some of the tools were already opened and the tools fell out when I went to lift both these boxes out. One of the tools was obviously defective as the handle wasn't attached and could not be attached because the metal was bent / or the screw grooves were stripped. There was no damage to the external box so I am not sure how this damaged item was even sent. I would have thought someone would have inspected the contents before shipping it to me. In any event, customer service assured me that a replacement tool is on its way. I will add an additional post after it arrives. These things happen sometimes so I will wait to see the end result.
